  1. There's no way Kody is actually sorry about this. He's only upset because it dings his ego & the image he has of himself. He's been pushing Christine & Meri out for quite awhile . There's no way he & Sobbyn aren't monogamous . He's been bitching about polygamy for at least 2 seasons & particularly hard core bitching this last season. Sobbyn really did destroy the "happy" family. (not that they were truly happy) Never thought little Miss Scared of a Toaster Christine had the balls, but good for her!
  2. She's still doing daily posting on the beating 50% to death & more than an oily spot accounts. Yall didn't actually believe she wasn't going to post somewhere did yall?
  3. As a "poor" kid who graduated in the 80's, financial aid wasn't something that some kids were even told existed. I literally never knew it did. I just knew that college wasn't something anyone in my family was financially able to do for me. taking loans or scholarships or aid was never talked about with me, not even by my school counselors. They directed me to take office style classes (typing, accounting, word processing) for my electives & my Senior year I got into VOE (Vocational Office Education). I was placed in an office job thru that class. And I wasn't growing up in a small town or a small school system. I was in Houston, 4th largest city & in the largest school system in Texas. I was an A/B student who most likely could have gotten some kind of scholarship help & financial aid. I did eventually take night classes thru the city college system but just to advance my office skills, not for a degree. To keep it on the show, I can see why Dan could have gotten back to the point of hating Mark & blaming him. Might not have been intentional, but what he & Roseanne feared about Mark came true. He ruined Becky's life. Again, not intentional, but that is what happened. Also Becky WOULDN'T face her emotions over his death, that's why she drank. So the forced therapy session breakthru made sense to me. Dan wouldn't have said what he said any other way. Becky wouldn't have admitted that she was angry at Mark any other way. I also liked how they had Mark die. Becky grew up with her dad riding a motorcycle & it being no big deal. Something that she knew comforted her dad ended up killing her husband. It was probably something she never worried about Mark doing. He's just going out for a bike ride, he'll be back in a few hours. No biggie. It also gave Becky no one to really blame for his death & increased her issues with dealing with it. She never went thru all the stages of grief because she never worked thru the anger stage.
  4. Kody & Robin are just so stupid at times. I get what Janelle is doing wit saying "don't come over". I had to make the same type of decision about seeing my mom & brothers because I have 2 essential workers in my home. We had to make the decision that it wasn't worth the risk of literally KILLING a loved relative. How hard is it to know & decide that it's not worth the risk.
  5. I had the same reaction to how young Shirley Jones looked the 1st time I saw the Partridge Family. She was only 36 at the time. Shirley Partridge had to have had her first 2 kids before/around age 20.
  6. NIKE! Micah....oh lordy NIKE NIKE NIKE!!!!!!
  7. I've "casually" mentioned putting up the tree enough that my husband had a preemptive hissy fit over it. I'm not "allowed" to put it up until after Thanksgiving. Except he'll be gone for 10 days before Thanksgiving on a hunting trip. He's gonna come home & find the tree up. And a 2nd tree just because "don't tell me not to do something" switch must be flipped...just saying. Bin's had this great accomplishment and he's not going to get any credit or attention for it, I kinda feel sorry for him. Ok it passed. Gonna be interesting to watch the future Jeremy graduates episode with the full on cap & gown & preacher bow tie while little Binny sits quietly & wonders why he didn't get a party.
  8. they did not custom build the house, it was bought from a local doctor.
  9. If she's really careful, she can go on without hormonal birth control & not get pregnant. I managed to. Had 1 kid then between closely watching the date (tracking my period) and condoms we haven't turned up pregnant in the last 27 years. It can be done.
  10. Keep in mind that at the time of the divorce, his MONTHLY child support was rumored to be $22,000. A MONTH. There was no way for him to maintain & pay that without a tv job. TLC made sure he was unable to work on tv. His only option could have been to trade $22,000 A MONTH for visitation rights. That or end up in jail.
  11. Kate went on tv & gave an interview where she gloated & smirked about how she was the only one who knew where Collin was & she wasn't going to tell Jon. It wasn't Jon playing the victim, it was Kate sitting in front of a camera being the villian down to her core.
  12. As someone who attended school in the 80s, they didn't let us girls take "boys" classes like wood shop or auto shop. We could take home-ec, child development (wanna carry an egg for a few weeks?), or typing. Boys had wood shop, auto shop, & weight lifting.
  13. I wonder how the conversation went between her & Derrick the 1st time she had a drink & how long did it take her to get to the point of being comfortable enough to order a drink with dinner.
  14. she's now verified in the comments that it was a "regular" pina colada not a virgin one. Go Jilly Muffin Go!!!!! She had a shockingly normal date night. Went out to dinner, got a buzz, & most likely got a piece of ass. (sorry for the visual)
  15. There are multiple different episodes where Corabeth makes backhanded comments about Golden Boy/Johnboy. But because it's Corabeth, it just gets played off as her being her bitchy self. She tears into him pretty good during the mine cave in episode, but again, does it in hysterics, so she's shushed for being a drama queen.
  16. imaging crunchy roasted peanuts cooked until they have the texture of canned green peas.
  17. Congrats to Joy & Austin. Thank you cheezus that it wasn't on my birthday! Happy birthday to all the August ladies (and gents)!
  18. As someone who had never had them until moving to Georgia where apparently, they are all the rage, it's definitely a "big food experiment" and one I regret ever trying. I'm sure someone will disagree, but O.M.G. they are awful. Words can't describe how awful they were.
  19. We're scared of being SEVERELY reprimanded or just too tired to bitch.
  20. oh dear gawd, this is the closest I've ever been to having to share a birthday with a fundie. August 19th is my birthday & I do NOT want to share it with any Duggar, not even a grandchild. UGH!
  21. Rutledge has mentioned either on his twitter or instagram/instagram stories (see I'm seriously a Rut fangirl) that there were rooms built that we haven't seen. He's really pushing everyone to bing-watch multiple times so they can get a 2nd season. But from the looks of everything (#1 show) there will definitely be a 2nd season.
  22. I loved the airline steward/stewardess team. He had to butch it up & the double entendre's at the very end of the course were really funny because he was starting to crack up at them too. Here's a couple of articles about the show. https://www.looper.com/220160/the-untold-truth-of-floor-is-lava-on-netflix/ https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2020/06/26/how-netflix-floor-is-lava-is-elaborate-version-kids-game/3261471001/
  23. I'm an admitted Rutledge Wood fangirl. From Nascar goofball to Top Gear host to Hyperdrive and now to Floor is Lava. This was way more entertaining than it should have ever been. Rut's over the top exuberance for everything really fits here. Love all the different thought processes each team goes thru.
