  1. I agree. They've lost what little credibility they have by endorsing someone under fire for misogyny.
  2. No, what we’re arguing is the assumption that CS is responsible for the ratings lift, and I find that very difficult to find legitimate when Cinderella was what was advertised all week. And let’s be honest, it was a rise of .1 in the demo? Cinderella just looks more likely to have been responsible, imo, sorry that has to result in a huge argument.
  3. I wonder if Whoopi has View nightmares of being at the table with Sunny, Paula, Barbara, and Rosie O'Donnell all at the same time.
  4. Adam was definitely an asshole to Christina. They both were assholes to Shakira. Blake may just be smoother about hiding his douche behavior, but he seemed to get along with Christina and seems nice enough with Miley, too. I'm guessing Blake wants to get Gwen back on the show.
  5. I think the presence of Aladdin/Jasmine is easy enough to blame on the executives considering all the other changes this season. But, tbh, they were always going to market something--just like with Pan, Wizard of Oz, the Queens, etc. They've pretty much depended on external properties coming into the show for a while now to draw interest, and Hyde/Jekyll are not on the same level as those. Aladdin is pretty much all that was left. The finale was also voted the best ending to a lackluster season, btw.
  6. I wasn't personally excited by TEQ at the end of last season, but the ratings have been consistent so far? There hasn't been a mass exodus like in 4B or 2B to make an assumption about what the general audience thinks of the TEQ storyline.
  7. Clearly. But 1) this episode was not a CS centric. It was a Cinderella centric. And 2) the episode last week featured The Count of Monte Cristo, which let’s not pretend is even in the same realm of common knowledge as “Cinderella,” not even speaking of the fact that the latter is a fairy tale that makes more sense being on OUAT in the first place.
  8. Yep. :) But, really, I have a hard time believing CS had anything to do with it? Cinderella was what was advertised. Similar to the boost for Ariel, Frozen, etc.
  9. Well, personally, I laughed. I had no problem with the joke itself, it was more that she thought all the women were former lovers, but it was more than that. Whoopi seemed not to know they were more than former lovers either. Sunny tried to explain half-heartedly, but she must've had the wind sucked out of her sails because of batshit Whoopi in the first round of topics.
  10. I thought Sunny was also inappropriate when she did that to Paula. If they were in Hot Topics and Sunny wanted to criticize her (the next day), I'd cheer, but they are allowed to ask whatever questions they want to during an interview and Sunny doesn't get to dictate who can ask what.
  11. Of course I missed the first 10 minutes. What stupid reason did Whoopi use to bitch at Sunny this time?
  12. I thought this was the worst episode so far. Cinderella and her stepmother both holding a rifle at one point, the Stepmother being way overdramatic, the Cinderella-stepsister story being a rehash of Snow telling Cora about Daniel, etc. The only parts I liked were Emma and TEQ. TEQ and Hyde looked very nice together there at the end. I'm hoping TEQ starts a relationship with Hyde and, when she's most likely absorbed back into Regina, those feelings remain, and Hyde is her new love interest. He's too hot to waste.
  13. I guess they wanted to get the female equivalents of Dr. Phil/HCJ from two weeks ago in Nancy/Wendy.
  14. I actually didn't mind the Golden Queen flirtation this past episode. I'm still skeptical about whether TEQ is genuine (considering Regina has only ever had feelings of hatred towards Rumpel since losing to Snow and Charming in the EF, and even before that he only ever seemed like a means to an end for her), but I actually think the development could make the Rumbelle scenes more interesting. The entire series has been this back-and-forth of whether or not Rumpel will change (which he won't--at least not before the last episode of the series, at any rate) and whether or not Belle will leave him (only temporarily regardless). At least the idea of Rumpel having a choice between someone who accepts him for the person he is versus someone who is only concerned about who he isn't is something different from the norm with them. I have to admit the writers have done a good job making me interested in the Rumbelle storyline so far, considering I had zero interest in them throughout 5B.
  15. I think it's likely HtGAwM and DS will end the year below 0.9, too....
  16. I know TGG is not one to bring back characters, but I really wish that instead of Dorothy ending up with Mr. Magoo, that the cop from the George Clooney episode had come back, said he was retired now, and they got married. He was always my favorite love interest for Dorothy on the show.
  17. I don’t find Neal at fault for anything that’s happened except (maybe) Pan. I say maybe because Tamara did come from the Land Without Magic so it was probably difficult to believe she was a threat. This reminds me of the discussions about Emma being indirectly to blame for Robin's death at the end of last season.
  18. Well, really, you're just proving my point. You can't even have an opinion about the forum without someone insinuating you don't know how to post correctly. And believe me--it often does become personal, usually in the condescending tone used, when you don't just shut up and silence yourself when posting a different opinion.
  19. While I've never PMed anyone before, I'm sure there are many lurkers out there considering I was one for most of the show's run. For a while I gave up reading most of the discussions and just read spoilers. UO and WOaS threads are the only ones I really posted in for the longest time. You have to have nerves of steel to post here if you don't have the sanctioned opinions.
  20. Too bad Joy (and I) couldn’t have got a break from Jedidiah on her birthday, jeez. I don’t even mind that Don Lemon was there because I like him, but why couldn’t Sunny have been there instead of Jedi? Eh. That bit at the end with the Trump impersonator made me wish I'd taped the show. lol
  21. The fact that Neal is Henry's father probably had something to do with Charming being less menacing to Neal.
  22. How eerie. I remember last year that they just had Jay Leno come out with a birthday cake for a few minutes, but otherwise Joy just wanted to do hot topics. I loved her laugh about the stupid topics they have when politics aren't the conversation. And I think this is the first time she's addressed that fake cream thing that popped up earlier this year. Sunny must've sold out to get on this show. I remember when she first appeared again (since the time she auditioned during Sherri's last year) and she was pretty adamant about correcting Whoopi's inane comments, coining "MISS Whoopi!" and causing Whoopi to go completely feral, but ever since she got her foot in the door, she's catered to Whoopi's constant BS. Whoopi shut her down again today. "But that's not we're talking about!!" How would you even know, Whoopi? I only heard barely one sentence before you interrupted her?? I'm guessing Sunny knows Whoopi will be gone at the end of the year and is playing her cards safely right now. We've seen what Whoopi's ire will cause (both Rosie's off the show, Paula reduced to one day a week).
  23. Believe me, she knows. But she also knows it isn't widely known among the public and she can get away with the glowing praise because most people do not care about the Vice Presidents unless they're absolute buffoons who draw attention to themselves (like Sarah Palin).
  24. It's impossible to know where her mind's at since she's on so irregularly, but Paula the past two times she’s appeared has been pretty hard where it concerns Trump. It would be nice if she doesn’t support him—unlike Candace and Jedi—because I do sort of like her personally, and it’s always nice to know somebody has some scruples. I already knew Jedi would slobber over Pence (since she can't outright do the same to Trump like she wants to), but Paula was lukewarm surprisingly. Joy is right that Pence "won" because, like Conway, he didn’t directly answer anything—whether it was the questions asked or facts given. The Kelly interview was really great, but I’m a huge Kelly fan anyway. I’m really excited for the new album/label, and where it’ll take her. Hopefully she’ll do a full country album at some point in the future, too.
