  1. I thought Lily Rose Depp's acting wasn't bad. That is the only vaguely positive thing I can come up with. I find it troubling that the show seems to justify bad shit in the name of 'good' music. Another thought to add... The opening photo shoot with all the emotions could have been foreshadowing of Joss's knowing participation whilst looking the part of being taken advantage of. Or at least it could have been if there'd been any interest in creating an actual story...
  2. With a strong dash of Dark. From the moment Silas tried to prevent Isaiah going to 1988 I figured he was trying to break a time loop. I still half entertain the thought that Silas is really Josh. In Terra Nova I think they established it as a parallel time? I don't think La Brea has done this. The concept of pillaging the distant past for finite resources without it having consequences on the more recent past as they know it is ridiculous.
  3. Those transformations... She-Ra did it better in the 80's.
  4. I'm nervous every time Nedley has screen time. The more warm fuzzy moments he has, the more I fret for his survival. Waverley is Bobo's 'angel', and he was not friendly to newborn Waverley until he heard her name. So maybe Julian is a revenant/something else for Daddy Earp to be able to push him out of the triangle?
  5. Tandy was used to looking after herself from the beginning, before her dad died. She calmly called for her dad when her mum didn't pick her up and wasn't at all panicked. Her dad was swerving around driving in the rain without regard for Tandy who was clearly terrified. She pulled Tyrone's hoodie from under him on the beach and left him there unconscious. Sometimes learning to survive at a young age means not taking into consideration the needs of others. I like the idea that Tyrone is going to change this.
  6. Did L'Rell bring the Ash and Voq personas together, integrating them so they were no longer fighting each other rather than removing the base persona of Voq entirely? He spoke in English but completed the Klingon prayer. L'Rell would mourn that as the loss of Voq as any remnants would be polluted by a human, and a combined Klingon/human mind might give breakthrough insights into the war. Not to mention that if one persona was to be removed, the overlaid one of Ash would seem more likely. I'm on the fence about MirrorLorca. We only have what Georgiou has told us so far, and Lorca may have needed Michael as a way in to the palace rather than harbouring anything romantic for her. So far, I've not read romance into their interactions though he has definitely shown a vested interest in keeping her alive and safe. The Terran regime is pretty brutal, it would depend on his motivation for wanting to disrupt it (ie. break the tyranny or take over as Emperor) as to how it reflects on his character.
  7. Fitz as Leopold gave me new respect for his actor. Utterly convincing, even with a few less than stellar lines.
  8. Did they just wrap it up quickly to give it an 'ending'? I didn't understand why they stole the artifact, but thinking on it again it *might* make sense. Lambda lady's body is dying. and if Roman and girlfriend truly don't GAF about anybody else (not the impression we were given?) they might plan to use it to body hop without care for the consequences. I don't remember much about Whistling Man, except nastiness about luring children presumably to their deaths. Do. Not. Like. Seems like a meaningless call back to the reference without any actual point to it that makes sense aside being a twisty twist. Plus I thought Whistling Man 1.0 had plans for morgue lady's son?? As for Billy not putting 2 and 2 together that he and Roman's mum spent special time ;) together 9 months before he was born, particularly without an alternate father on the scene? No. Just no. Billy was the least stupid among the stupid, that had to have been thrown in as an afterthought. Meatloaf must have gotten dizzy: 'Roman is baaaaad' 'Oops, no he's not'; *modicum of respect* 'I KNEW it, I TOLD YOU ALL he is BAAAAAD!!!!!'. Ugh. No, no, no. Many times 'no' to this show. I do like the Billy and Roman actors, I hope they find much better work after this. Much, much better....
  9. My own speculation that is probably wide off the mark, but I'm waiting for a Terminator moment where 001 evolves to become the consciousness that is The Director, or at least is integral to its creation. Plus the connection shown between Grace and the Director during the trial episode didn't seem particularly 'artificial'.
  10. Axel keeps thanking the doctor for trying to save Smithy (?). I'm pretty sure she tried to slam the door on that soldier despite him shouting to come in, she wasn't trying to save him at all. I'm guessing that's why she's weird with Axel, out of guilt. I think the doctor is still a wild card. She had a lot of self pity when Fletch tried to connect with her a few episodes ago over both of them having been turned back. When Fletch said she was lucky that she hadn't killed etc, she was angry and indignant because she had been caged up (though not executed, and was regularly supplied with fresh blood from Axel's arm, but moving right along....). Fletch relayed his story of returning home and slaughtering his family to illustrate his point, and her response was disgust and still to hold human him responsible. Maybe she is tasting blood because she is wondering what its truly like to be a vampire? Or maybe I'm just reading too much into things :P .
  11. I'm surprised that we are in season 3 and Gus and Angel are still peripheral to the main characters. I'm assuming there is a bigger plan for them but the show is taking its sweet time in getting to it.
  12. Just because there were multiple enormous explosions on a space station with minimal warning and no means of escape? And the explosions were 'too early' for those who planned it? Can't imagine why you'd think they were all dead :P . I think that's why I considered time travel, they *should* all be dead aside from potentially Two with her nanites.
  13. My first thought was they were going to reset with some kind of time travel. If the blink drive can take them to a parallel universe, maybe it can time travel too, possibly at the hands of the missing AU character or a surviving Two. It was just my first thought though and not one I particularly want to see, I'll be quite happy to feel foolish next season for even considering it :P . I wondered about this last week, Kierkan baby faced and clean shaven is quite the contrast and it would make sense that a clone would be scruff free.
  14. I enjoyed it, but felt squicky in the first part. Rescuing Five from slavers, "she's not a kid", the almost mortal injury and self sacrifice; all the stuff with Three and Five felt like bad fan fiction. Five is always so 'good' with such a strong conscience, I'm waiting for a reveal that with memories she is the most ruthless and manipulative of them all. Preferably playing some kind of long game.
  15. It's a little while since I watched, but I still recall the doctor recording her notes and commenting that there were three distinct, different personalities in Vanessa. Presumably Vanessa, the demon and Amunet. There is absolutely no reason to drop something like that in, that was a seed for the next season. Disappointing, we got a rushed, incongruous (at least at this point) ending :( .
