I'm from that area too! The SURRENDER DOROTHY graffiti is now SURRENDER DONALD! Okay back on topic: It's a shame that all the fundamentalist followers for all of the world's religions for the most part don't really get along, because if they gathered together they would really see how similar they would all be. They stifle their children's development, they treat women like second class citizens at best, they deny science and progress, they think their holy book written thousands of years ago is 100% the word of their deity and meant to be used 100% of the time for the modern day....

Yeah well 49 years ago with me that wasn't going to happen. I was a breech so a cesarean was needed. I hope Jinger won't need one and she and the baby will be okay. A pandemic is no time for complications, especially with a family of hangers-on and nincompoops.

Not all babies come at their due date. I was almost two *weeks* late. Let's hope Jinger doesn't have to wait that long. Or the people waiting with her. Especially the TLC film crew.

I'm on the secular side but my faith and my ethnicity is not some damn toy. Pompous ignorant jackasses.

Why does a fundamentalist Christian even have one of the most sacred Jewish prayers in Hebrew on a pen, anyway? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shema_Yisrael My rabbi doesn't have The Lord's Prayer on a T-shirt.

Welcome to Plathville is coming back to TLC. Does Primetimer have a forum listing for them? I couldn't find one, but I know I read stuff about them on here before. The promo talked about how they want to be separate from the world and its bad influences, then the hot teenage son is being photographed nearly naked in the shower. Oookay then.... https://www.thelist.com/176645/the-untold-truth-of-tlcs-welcome-to-plathville/ has more details. It's an old article but it was updated.

Never mind Nancy Friday's classic book on women's sexuality. I doubt any Duggar has read the children's classic book "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Considering it's about how hard work and being kind to others can change people's lives, that doesn't seem likely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_Garden

Mama June: From Not To Hot: Seasons 1-6
EAG46 replied to Aethera's topic in Mama June: From Not To Hot
<opinion> June may be a crackhead who has shitty taste in partners, but Jennifer is a selfish bitch who only cares about publicity. Pumpkin/Lauryn is a better mother figure for Alana than either of them. </opinion> And during the confrontation, the dad? Said -nothing-. -
Looking at the taggers from an eye candy POV, my favorites are: Viking, Beach Boy, and La Flame for the men; and Flame and Dynamite for the women. Flow and Atomic Ant are the best athletes overall. I really want this show to come back next summer; I know its silly but we need silly.

What does the Christian flag look like? I've never heard of it before. Did someone see the Israeli flag and feel jealous that their religion didn't have a flag? [Not that the flag of the State of Israel = the flag for all Jews everywhere but you get my point.]

Is racism a sin? That's what evangelicals are figuring out: https://www.npr.org/2020/06/06/871014393/evangelical-christians-grapple-with-racism-as-sin Somehow I doubt if the Duggars or their associates are as thoughtful.

Near where I live is a Baptist church that sometimes has amusing signs. The recent one: "This too shall pass. It may pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass." They are closed for in-person services and are online only because my county is hit hard. All the local houses of worship are operating online only no matter the religion. The DMV [District, Maryland, Virginia] isn't screwing around. God is everywhere so She should be happy Her people are being cautious. But apparently that's not good enough for some people.

This show tickled that spot in my brain set aside for stupid contests with costumed and gimmicky opponents. It just needs a few tweaks here and there but it could go more than one season.

Every religion's most fundamentalist practitioners seem to share similar beliefs: The outside world is evil. Progress and science are evil. Women are second-class citizens at best. Sex is only for procreation. Non-heterosexuality is evil. Education of children is for making sure they stay in the faith and not leave. Never question anything the leaders say. The Holy Book is 100% the word of God and 100% right 100% of the time and 100% to be used for a guide in modern life. Any one that escapes this lifestyle is brave and has my respect.

Usually residents in senior citizen homes are up for any sort of free entertainment. I know this because my elementary school choir performed at my grandparents' residence many times. But did the residents at whatever center JillRod and her family were at really like what they were seeing? Or was it just fodder for complaints the next few days? Which probably is it own entertainment.

Can you imagine Robert Irvine [Restaurant Impossible] or Gordon Ramsay [To Hell and Back] trying to fix Dillon's place when it needs help? And having to deal with the whole Duggar family when they show up at the sound of cameras? I just want to see an big angry Englishman go nuclear on these idiots so badly.
