  1. I don’t mind Del bring a curmudgeon. I do mind how she treats Kat. I can’t decide if she blames Kat or wishes Kat had been the one to disappear. If it turns out she somehow knows more about all this and continued to watch Kat suffer, then my dislike will jump a level.
  2. It also broke my heart when she was interviewed about leaving and was asked whom she would miss. She choked up a little and said she missed Nick.
  3. I find it hard to watch the show after hearing how badly they treated her. She was a wonder.
  4. Funny story - DH good naturedly teases me for watching Hallmark. We have boys, and he assumes the channel is on for my girl fix. I got him to try The Way Home, and if you recall the first half of the pilot is more Hallmark-esque, but he stuck it out with only a couple of eyebrow raising. Now he watches each Sunday night with me. Out of the blue last night he exclaims, “What in the world happened to Jacob?!?” When I look puzzled, he says, “Our show! Did he go in the pond? How did he disappear from the house?” I smiled really big.
  5. I spend more than half of each episode disliking Del. That continued tonight. I don’t know if that is their intention, but they are being consistent about it.
  6. I’ve always assumed he was in the orange jumpsuit to bait the carjackers to confess. Brenda asked him to think very carefully about his thoughts when he fired the gun, and he said he was afraid and continued to be afraid because the gang would come after him. I think at most he was charged with unlawful discharge of a gun.
  7. My UO is that I have tried to watch Winter Soldier 4 times, and I have fallen asleep 4 times. One day I’ll make it to the end. Maybe. It’s why I call myself an Iron Man fan rather than an Avenger fan.
  8. I just watched one of my favorites, which is when Brenda has to work with Father Jack to solve the random murder of Reggie that was the result of an attempted carjacking two blocks away. I love it for the reaction of the car owner realizing his bullets landed somewhere as well as Father Jack’s statement that meaning isn’t something you find, but something you give. Good episode.
  9. I gave up on this show about three episodes in, but I had to come back and say how hilarious it was that Reese Witherspoon’s new movie “Your Place or Mine” (don’t bother unless you need completely mindless - It isn’t offensive, but it isn’t good) made fun of books sorted by color not once, but twice!!
  10. I am so, SO thankful that Nick didn’t show, and I am grateful that Elliott was the voice of reason - “Please go dance with your age-appropriate friends.” As much as I hate the trope of the love interest catching the other love interest kissing someone else, it made sense here. She was kissing Brady back (which usually isn’t the case for hallmark) and was clearly conflicted in her feelings for her ex.
  11. I’m tossing this here because I know it’s come up at other times. I saw the pilot for the first time and the first thing Linda says is a comment to Frank asking if it would kill them to have Sunday dinner at her house once in awhile. I know people have asked about how in-laws feel about mandatory Sunday dinner so that made me laugh.
  12. What I thought was interesting is that Monica and Ross are given relationships that could have worked - Monica had Pete and, surprisingly, Richard; Ross had Julie, Emily, and Mona. Mike and David both made sense for Phoebe. Did Joey, Chandler, or Rachel have relationships outside the group that you could imagine working out long term?
  13. When I come across the movie version of 1776, I calculate so that I can turn it back on for the last 5-10 minutes. Otherwise, no. I’m not rushing to see if the live version is better.

I will always root for anyone or anything that shuts up the chop so I guess I’m an Eagle tonight.
  15. West with Giraffes: A Novel by Lynda Rutledge. Just starting and not completely sure what it’s about. Will keep you posted.
  16. Husband thinks it would be fun if Nick found the pond and came to present day.
  17. I haven’t gotten to see this episode yet. My first reaction upon reading this was to argue that he had moved away and gotten married, which is hardly just waiting around, but I forgot his comment that Alice told him his future. I’m intrigued.
  18. We finally watched it last night (late to the Benoit Blanc train, but now happily aboard!). We still enjoyed it, but liked the first one much better. I loved his reactions to Miles’ malapropisms. I loved how he described the invitation box as a collection of easy children’s puzzles, though I wondered why he said that when the box he saw was just a bag of splinters. I loved his solving the murder mystery game. I didn’t like his skulking about the property eavesdropping and his dumping so much of the dirty work onto Helen.
  19. Glad y’all are enjoying Agatha as much as I did! I have to say I also enjoyed The Appeal. I don’t know if I would say the author stuck the landing, but it was a fun read regardless. Now onto Ronan Farrow’s Catch and Kill, which is most definitely not fun, but we recently watched She Said so I feel like I should read it.
  20. I’m still pretty salty that he got Ilia’s spot at the last Olympics. Ilia needed that experience and earned the spot. I enjoy watching Jason, but definitely think I would rather enjoy him at the exhibition than see someone else get screwed.

John Adams, Cleveland’s #1 baseball fan who brought his bass drum to just about every home game for 48 years, passed away. The Guardians announced it on their Facebook page. He had been sick for awhile, and they were able to honor him during the season with a plaque at his seat. RIP, John.
  22. That makes more sense costume-wise. So was she supposed to look like she was trying not to be blown out? It was odd.

Listening to the announcers act so surprised that the 49ers didn’t convert the 4th down with their quarterback who cannot throw the ball irks me. What a garbage game. Eagles fans, there is a quote you should learn: “They fell down; you didn’t get taller.”
