  1. It seems pretty blatant that they will at this point. Its not anything I ship because Finn is still such a blank canvas of a character but I'm here for anything that cracks Steffy's botoxed face at this point. Much like every decision made with Kim Matula's Hope, it was a list opportunity not to SORAS RJ sooner so he could reject his Marone sibs and drag them for slagging Hope. Maybe he and Aly could've been besties who would've later gone over the revived Spectra fashions and made that great.
  2. Eh, I'm pretty sure that Brash and Sassy line Victoria Newman introduced as a teen in the 90s is still going strong and she's what, mid forties? :p I do think it's time to cut the line because of the other reason, though: she's obviously no longer a virgin and has long since outgrown its main message. The Watsonian reason is the Team Steffy fanbase who skin him alive if he ever stood up to her on any Logan's behalf. The Doyalist reason is I'm sure Finn sincerely still thinks we'll of Steffy and believes his slag wife might be capable of change, which...lol.
  3. To this day I am baffled why anyone thought this was a good idea, real life pregnancy or no. I suppose they were trying to shore up more legacy kids down the road but she and JMC have zero romantic chemistry. He's probably the only person KKL has had less chemistry with than Thorston frigging Kaye. Although, I will nitpick here to say we were blessedly spared Eric and Katie getting together, despite the show chem testing that shit in 2017. Hard pass. Coincidentally, I just watched the Catalina episodes from season 7 with Scott's death and I gotta say she doesn't come out of that smelling like a rose at all. My memories of Lauren were long after her hellacious bad girl days and largely after she married Michael, but I'd heard stories of how terrible she was. Granted, she didn't know how sick Scott truly was but using a soon-to-be ex-husband who she had cheated on to do her dirty work of outing her nemesis and being mad Scott didn't tell her she had visited him, regardless of what Sheila had done, was absolutely a choice™. People compare Steffy to Brooke, but I think she's closer to 1980s /90s Lauren: a rich, entitled slag with the world at her feet but revels in being cruel. But thankfully, they've allowed Lauren to grow past that, but Bell seemed determined to keep Steffy this same petty little twit until she's in the retirement home.
  4. To make sure the job is done. She even more than the Forresters have a right to hate Sheila for switching her kid and if she'd emptied a full round of brass into the casket, I'd hardly blame her for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Frankly, the bizarre thing is that no one's looped Lauren in sooner about Sheila. He was, but he wasn't anywhere in her circle. He was mostly between Amber, Phyllis, Nikki and I think Victoria too. Little Eric was born three years before Hope was, yet in his last appearance on Y&R in the fall of 2009, he was right about the age he would've been in real life, but Hope was aged up to 18 on B&B the following January 🤪 If they want to put Hope in Finn's orbit, I'd welcome Eric III to court Steffy and she can follow in her mother's footsteps of sleeping through two whole families.
  5. I wouldn't say he deserves Ivy either after the shit way he dumped her but of the present viable options, it's the one that hasn't been milked to death. But my preference would be for TIIC to find out who Liam is outside of his romantic options. After 14 years on the show, we still don't have an answer to that. I know Scott Clifton has some wish list stories he'd like for his character and I'd put money on every last one of them being more entertaining that his ping pong routine. And also the pain Brooke caused all *always* assisted mutually. She never needed to drug Eric or Ridge or Thorne to get them in the sack and if not for Deacon being Bridget's husband first, I wouldn't be slagging her over that either. Every time I remember this story, I get mad all over again. Also LMAO what feelings? I'm not convinced that his interest in the World's Most Bestest Intern wont disappear the day she and RJ breaks up and he gets to wave it in his face. Far be it from me to defend Thope but they did have a relationship that they came by fair and square. This OTOH? Absolutely not. If the show is at all interested in breaking their 40 week long streak in low ratings w the 18 to 35 demographic, they'll drop this crap too.
  6. !!! Is John Finnegan Jr waking up to the type of unholy slag he married? 👀 Oh ho ho, I might dust off my Paramount Plus account to watch this! *Snort* Was it Beth cutting Thomas out of all the family photos? I hope it's that. Knowing this show, it's just gonna be her parent trapping Lope, and just.....no. Well damn, that's a fast turn around on Hinn but after this last week, I'm shipping it out of spite, chemistry be damned. I'd say I wouldn't want Hope's reputation ruined but it's pretty much tainted anyway after dating a child abuser, so why not go full dark no stars?
  7. It's not entirely unbelievable that he did. He's certainly proven himself capable of far worse manipulation. But I can attest to the fact that it's a pretty horrid feeling to be stuck in the middle of your parents hatred of the other. My mom and aunt forced me to call my dad by his first name to cut the bond and while my dad absolutely didn't deserve my love and affect for a host of reasons, that's not something you put an 11 year old child through. It just isn't. Given all the turmoil Douglas has lived through and him probably having clued in on the history between his two grandmother's, it's equally possible he though this up also as a way to avoid conflict much like asking to live with Steffy temporarily. And that's honestly worse. 😂 I know this is the very obvious joke that should be made but let's not give these idiots any ideas or reasons to showcase those two more often than their contracts require 🤪 I keep forgetting about that mess of a story until it's shoved back in my face. :| Edit: I forgot if it was here or another board but I realized he's the only one of his material half-siblings who wasn't married or tried to be married fresh out of high school. Largely because the show has done fuck all with him until now, but breaking the cycle is breaking the cycle, I guess 🤷‍♀️
  8. Now THERE was a relationship where Hope strung Wyatt along and switched him out like swapping baseball cards when Liam was five minutes late to a wedding. I can't tell you how much that storyline ruined Hope for me and I was skeptical I even wanted her back when AN was cast. I miss the backbone that KM!Hope had for legitimate foolishness but God was she an absolute pill for all of 2014 without Steffy as a foil. Hope has not treated Thomas as though she was settling or weaponized him to make Liam fall in line. In fact, he's been the absolute *least* relevant factor in their relationship. The same way Steffy jet set off the Europe with Kelly without letting Liam know when JMW left for one of her pregnancies, cuz everyone is a spineless jellyfish in her world 🙃🫠 Is water wet?! My god, no wonder Stephanie was so frustrated with Eric and her male children because they all have two brain cells to share between them :|
  9. As you said, it's never made a lick of sense that either of these Southern California natives--Angelinos at that-- have ever been this hung up on marriage. In fact, I seem to recall a huge part of the popularity Steam had in the early years was largely due to Steffy speaking for the audience to point out (albeit for self serving reasons) that there was zero reason to rush into marriage at their age. Obviously, B&B will forget about that rather major story beat here, but you would think even aside from Liam's brand of BS that after the marry-go-rounds they witnessed between their parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles that Hope and Steffy would just nope outta marriage at all.
  10. In hindsight, the Oliver actor seems wooden and stiff, but eh, he's young and was no better or worse than Ronn Moss himself was at that age.
  11. All of this. @bluvelvet hit all the correct points that this has not being an easy thing for Hope to do and anyone else would see the big picture. Hell, in any other quarter-way competent soap opera, she'd be facing a custody battle and/or having fights with Beth, as she's about the same age or older than Aly was when she made her thoughts on the Thaylor nuptials abundantly clear. Hope didn't reject him--she rejected marriage for entirely understandable reasons, not all of which had to even do with their history. Hey, speaking of long term secrets being kept, I guess short of Courtney Hope returning to B&B and/or Caroline returning from the dead, I guess no one will ever let let Thomas know how Steffy ruined his relationship with Sally? She could've sat back and ate her food and none of us would be here if she had. It can never be said often enough how Hope should've been done with him at so many points in their relationship, of which the WTD thing being the most recent of those waypoints. I feel like enough time has passed to bring Oliver back and let them have a true shot with one another.
  12. It's actually pretty refreshing to see serial monogamist Hope Logan choose *not* to rush into marriage after doing exactly that for all of her twenties. I wish more people on this show could do this. That said, the irony of Steffy of all people throwing shade on this is not lost on me, considering that she used being free wheeling as a bonus point to get Liam back in the day.
  13. Welcome! I dunno that I was into the Black and Caroline thing, but I do think it sucks that Blake was the first of any characters ruined to prop Ridge up as his insanity for Taylor ramped up.
  14. Do they have no other purpose to use Carter for other than prop duty? Has Carter ever shared a scene with either of those two in the last eleven years?!
  15. I truly wish B&B could just do this more often in general. People can have unforgivable beef. Someone years ago pointed out on Y&R that although Lily and Kevin rarely shared scenes after the whole kidnapping/attempted fire(or freezing?) thing in 2004 that Lily keeps a cool distance from him in the big event scenes. Likewise, for as much as I wish TIIC would allow Chloe to have any other purpose on Y&R beyond bashing Adam, she still is allowed to hate his existence for hiding the truth about Delia. Brooke made Amber's life hell over comparatively less, so Thomas should be damn glad she isn't digging up Oliver Jones's contact information or trying to set Hope up with her ex-fiancé Dave's kid who just also happens to work for LAPD in the cold case department. Considering they're circling back on this, I don't wonder if they're still not going that route.
  16. It's coming up on 9 months now on that. It's been well beyond time for that and for Hope to make a decision either way. I mean, in a good soap, Beth would have been SORASed to an age where she be able to express an option on this union much like 7 year old Aly did by cutting up Taylor's wedding dress....but if they're not gonna bother with that, I wish they'd just get on with it. The Thope shippers deserve some closure, at least. And thank God she's holding strong on that, although it begs the question why Liam can only *ever* play hero to people once they have no interest in him instead of just trying to be a good partner to anyone he's with.
  17. That's exactly what it is. He been shown his ass about his opinion on "that one" a long time ago and the minute it falls apart, she'll get all the blame. Again. Seriously. Vegas is a 45 minute flight away, just get married there like she should have done after the 800th wedding to Liam that fell apart from Bill and/or Steffy's meddling and let Brooke sulk afterwards.
  18. You know, for all that Ridge was a self righteous waffling dickweed, when he wanted to go after a woman, out of genuine desire or other purposes, he just went for it. He didn't go dickwaving to the rival the minute things went sour between him and Brooke or Taylor. And he certainly wouldn't have waited for things to go sour to just do the damn thing. I thought KKL had it bad with her repetitive stories but God, she's got nothing on the one solitary beat SC has had to bang out for almost 14 years now. I've heard rumblings that he got a bit big for his britches over on GH but certainly any karma has been paid back with interest by now.
  19. Honestly, I think so. Unless and Finn starts sniffing after Hope and needs ammo to get rid of Thomas for a while, I'm positive this is the last were gonna hear about it for a hot minute. Yeah, this last week has been a good reminder why I went from a Hope basher in the Kim Matula era to a (mostly) Hope fan after AN took over. The backbone she had in those days came at the cost of any flexibility and grace for anyone else, such as her doing 110 in LA traffic after Bill stayed with Katie to gloat at Steffy....and that was in a period of time where Steffy was considered an underdog with no stake in the company and Hope's unearned line getting more celebrations in her honor than Cassie frigging Newman. Or her shitty behavior to Ivy in her jealousy after *she* chose to marry Wyatt bc Liam was a few minutes late to the Effiel Tower without so much as a call. That level of head-up-assery has been rare and of the two times anything close to that's been seen, one was literal grief and the second was in service of protecting a child with no voice and no one else coming to his aid...and I'd never bash anyone for putting a child first. Which makes this shit with Thomas all the more anger inducing, but I'm gonna digress for now and say it's nice to have a few genuine white hats around in this story.
  20. Yeah,it was just thrown in because fans have been rightfully vocal about the crap deal Emma got and that the show seemed fine with letting one of its heroines marry (or not) a murderer. 🙄
  21. I mean...yeah, I don't get it either, not even as a cockblock against Thomas. I'll personally never get over Thomas weaponizing his son to get Hope but bad boy/good girl pairings have been a staple in soaps for a reason. Putting her with Finn just sticks he in the same waffling cycle she finally left Liam over (because let's face it, we saw this exact thing play out when Nick was swapped for Ridge in the Brooke and Taylor rivalry and no one wanted that either), but with mommy issues. Unless Thomas goes psycho again and bumps him off, but that's just gonna piss off even more people who are either tired of the inconsistent writing for him not sticking to to one personality or who will feel like he's being sacrificed for the Logan Agenda™ I hate Thope but I'm indifferent to Hinn, and frankly I think that would be just as detrimental for different reasons. Fully agree, not just because of Steffy but because his actual mother Li deserves more appreciation by her idiot son than they've ever had him show. SHE was the one who raised him and SHE nursed him to health after Mommy Dearest left him and his wife dead. But yanno, fuck Li, amirite? 🙃 Liam has had some true humdinger moments but he, spineless weasel that he is, never once tried to defend any of Bill's shitty actions to Hope. I get Finn not celebrating Sheila's death, that's normal behavior. Walking away without even trying to save their marriage, not so much.
  22. I remember at the end of ATWT, James Steinbeck kicked it for good and Barbara unloaded a found pistol into his casket. Great times Best to shoot the body, create it, throw the ashes into whatever acid Hope thought she'd shoved Thomas into, and have Brooke use her rusted chemistry knowledge to refer the acid inert to be on the safe side 😂
  23. The kid was supposed to be another vehicle to kickstart Nick and Brooke's relationship that Bell had razed to the ground a few years earlier. KKL was against another Bricky reunion in one of the rare times I've heard it reported of her refusing to go along with a story, and whatever plans they had were dropped. Taylor gave custody to Brooke but hand to God, I don't think she was ever in the same room with that child after that point. I always saw Bridget caring for him after those two got remarried again. We'll never see him again as TPTB are ignoring everything connected to Nick ever since Jack Wagner left the show, but there was so much story they could've had if Taylor kept the baby. Would he have been and anti-Logan-pilled as his siblings if he'd been raised by Brooke? How would Jack feel learning that the woman his mother and siblings hate more than Satan was his mother? Even if they'd gone the original route of Jack being the Bricky Harbinger, it was hardly the best, most creative way they could've done with that. LOL! I think that marriage was doomed the minute Finn learned to think for himself, be it for this or anything else. He's been written as an accessory for Steffy instead of a character in his own right. The reason Bricky shot up into popularity moreso than many of Brooke's relationships to that point was because Nick *had* clear motivations and thoughts and dreams that were separate from her while being an interesting contrast to Ridge. He wasn't a Forrester and while he would later come into money via Massimo, he was never defined by it the way other characters had been. That was also why the character has a nine year run on the show: even when he was out of Brooke's orbit, he could exist to date other women and move other plots. Finn OTOH has had none of that passion or thought given to him. I honestly do not believe for a minute that Brad Bell even wanted the character at all and if he could've continued on having Liam bounce between the two women until they were in the retirement home he would have. He has largely existed as a pacifier to the Steffy fans who understandably want her to have a relationship with someone who puts her first, but God do I wish it had been more earned than it has been. Same for the inevitable Hinn relationship. I'm so beyond done with her other two choices but Finn gives me nothing to care about other than being a cockblock to two even worse options.
  24. I generally hate how B&B treats blood family as some holy grail end all, be all, no matter how often Bridget get shit on by her relatives, how often Ridge has fucked over him make relatives, or that time Taylor let a whole baby go to a woman who she hated because the baby being colicky meant he needed his bio-mom, among other things. But in those instances, they were raised together as family so it makes sense. Sheila was a stranger to him until his wedding and if he had married Hope Logan or Sally Spectra or even Daniel Romolotti who fathered her other grandchild if Finn happened to be gay and took residency in Genoa City, he wouldn't know thing one about her existence still. Hell, Ryder and Daisy on Y&R still believe her to be dead, to my knowledge. I can't blame him for not joining in the on the Yellow Brick Road block party in Oz with the other munchkins to celebrate the Wicked Witch's death but she's done nothing to earn him throwing away his marriage to Steffy. As others have said, she is up her own ass and she'll probably always be an insufferable slag, but she had every much a right to defend herself now as she did when Aly was going bananas on her too. Far more so here. "You killed my mother" is the new "We were robbed" 🤣 (Man, remember when we thought a phrase was too repetitive when we only heard it once every other week? Those were great times, yo.)
  25. Sheila has also shot her mother, grandmother, and stepmother. Assuming the show isn't put out of its misery in 2025 with that recent option news, I assume she'd be shooting Kelly in the future too. The Forresters' insensitivity towards Finn notwithstanding, fuck Sheila. She fucked around and found out 🤷‍♀️
