  1. Oh man, I hope Tech really isn’t gone because going back to Cid was such a dumb decision after her threat. These guys really need to start making back-up plans for when their plans go off the rails.

I wish we would have seen the chat between Hunter and Wrecker when they got back to Cid’s to quit and hide at Pabu. Did they even talk about Crosshair? If I could fix one thing about this show, it would be to see more small moments just talking. I’m sure they both would have just wanted to protect Omega, but I bet Wrecker would have mentioned Crosshair. Or I wonder if Echo, if he was there, would have volunteered to find Crosshair and the other clones with Rex letting Wrecker and Hunter fade away with Omega.

Hunter’s face when they don’t make it to the shuttle before it took off broke my heart. I bet we’re in for a reckless Hunter start to next season.

I was surprised that Hemlock only wanted Omega to appease Nala Se. He doesn’t know about her importance. Wonder how long that will last. Glad to see Omega and Crosshair reunited.

I’m also in the boat of ‘no body, no death.’ Googles would have been decimated if Tech’s body was too. If anyone could survive a fall, it would be Tech. He just talked about how he can think under high pressure situations. You can’t tell me he hasn’t thought of this exact scenario bc of Wrecker’s fear of heights. I was also a believer that Crosshair never really lost his chip either but this show tells more than it shows. We’ll see if the writers tweet again like they did last season about Crosshair’s chip.

  2. The trading of prisoners was confusing, but I thought it had to do with the law Mon was protesting and the prisoners were talking about last episode-PROD? I figured the Empire pushed it to keep the prisoners across the galaxy.

Watching the Kino flip was impressive for a single episode. Andy Serkis is amazing. The first panic about Floor Two. Demanding to know what happened to Floor Two and then his last line of “Never more than 12.” I couldn’t keep my eyes off of Serkis.

Think Cassian is trying to cut the electricity to their work floor? Its hard to have a fair fight when the floor is part of the fight.

I wonder if we know the captured Rebel pilot or if its just a passing reference to show us again the ruthlessness of the Empire. I thought maybe for a moment it was Luthen.

After seeing Saw, I’m trying to keep very low expectations for other connections to other Star Wars. But with the looming prison break, I can’t stop thinking about Ezra Bridger’s radio broadcast and his own parent’s prison break. I like the connections to Rogue One but always want more to the world’s smallest galaxy.

  3. I hope tomorrow we get:

-Rebels rescuing the stranded hyperdrive-less rebels (double points if The Ghost is one of the ships). Space fight!

-Luke and Leia accidentally meeting on Tattooine when Obi-Wan passes off Leia to Bail

-Reva starting her own heroes journey back to the lightside

And I hope the episode is ridiculously long. Two hours please 😂

  4. I think it would be interesting to see Cody with Crosshair. There‘s lots of speculation of what happened to Cody after Order 66. I figured we might eventually see Crosshair get back to the Bad Batch, Cody might help with that. I thought Cody’s story might go similar to Howzer’s-thinking he’s doing the right thing with the Empire but realizing he‘s wrong. Or not at all. I like the idea of Crosshair gaining a buddy.

I like Omega in gear. It makes sense, she wants to be one of the team, and they’re all geared up. For how much Ezra Bridger in Rebels had rotating gear, I hope we get there eventually for Omega.

I hope this trailer is just from the front of the season like last season’s trailer was. I hope they have some good surprises up their sleeves.

BTW I can't tell if they are teasing us or just refuse to do it but, where was the Hello There?! Perfect opportunity wasted 😃

Definite tease. Plus he’s really not Obi-Wan right now-he’s Ben. I bet we get one when he start actually believes in the Force again. Right now he’s pretty lost. I thought the closest we’ve been to to Obi-Wan is when he was negotiating with the Jawa about his stolen equipment that they gave back dirty.

What annoyed me in this episode was that Reva somehow beat Leia to ship and didn't run into Tala on the way or that Vader let NED-B leave with Obi-Wan. It seems kind of sloppy writing and you can't just hand waved it.

I thought she left the tunnels and used her lightsaber to helicopter up the hill to beat Leia there. I thought it was a missed opportunity to get the spin flight we’ve seen in Rebels 😂 last episode we had Leia fall and then Kenobi was right there to help her up from a roof top. Lots of magical plot holes of characters getting from point a to point b in this show.

  7. Well, I was super surprised Ben was sent to a rebel and not to a bounty hunter or pirate. I’m expecting Hondo to show up either here or on Ahsoka so I really thought Kenobi was going to run into the old Jedi Sympathizer. I’m trying not to fall into the trap of hoping for cameos-I feel like Hondo is small enough to still be a good surprise. Loved them dropping Quinlan’s name. He’s trying to save Jedi babies. Just shows how different people deal with grief.

Did anyone catch/decipher other names on the wall?

Vader was intense. Killing the kid, I was not expecting that. Nor was I expecting the drag through the fire. That was bonkers. Vader thinks Kenobi is dead by the time A New Hope rolls around right?

If we get the bacta tank of flashbacks next episode, I hope we seen some Anakin, Ahsoka and Kenobi hijinks. Its nice Hayden is under the mask for Vader, but it would be really nice if we get a good flashback before that point too.

  8. I agree with everyone about Greg and Ava. Ava will survive her superintendent meeting because she is way too popular of a character to not survive. I could see them removing her and she get a teaching job at Abbott. There’s no way Greg is ready to be a principal. In my career, the principals who were the best were the ones who had been Teachers, Vice Principals then Principal spanning at least 8-10ish years. The worse ones? The ones who fast tracked as a Teacher to admin in their first three years. And you know when you asked about them, they also had terrible classroom management skills too when they were in the classroom. Plus, if Greg and Janine are end game, I do not want to see a Principal/Teacher relationship. I hope we’re going to see him realize he’s good in the classroom and that’s where he’s meant to be.

Janine gave me the worst second hand embarrassment this episode. I hope she really starts learning how to read a room. Mom issues, only ever had structure at school, no wonder she wanted to be a teacher-it was a safe space for her. It would interesting if we see Janine question if she still wants to be a teacher after sorting out her Mom issues. They say a lot of new teachers don’t make it past year five. Maybe not this year, but maybe a storyline next season? She and Jacob and both under five years right? I always assumed they were year two or three.

  9. Loved this episode! I really miss Mando. Its been fun to see a different Star Wars world, by Mando is definitely one of my favorite characters.

Watching Mando fight the Darksaber was watching history repeat it almost rhymed. The forms, the saber getting heavier. Sabine Wren had to face her demons to wield it, I wonder what Mando will confront to finally wield it. If only there was a Jedi or Mandalorian who had trained with the Darksaber before to help Din…

I’ve been trying to figure out the puzzle of Boba Fett-I’m kinda in the camp of this was a side quest story in the world of Mando. I wanted to see Boba on Mandalore with Din, see him see that part of his heritage.  I liked this idea of Din seeing all the different ideas of what makes a Mandalorian, between the Children of the Watch, Bo Katan, and now Boba. Which makes me really hope he gets to start seeing some clans that survived the bombing of Mandalore-like Clan Wren.

  10. Loved Holden and Drummer pulling one over Avasarala one more time. I didn’t read the books but I was surprised that Holden would agree to any sort of a leadership role where he would be beholden to Earth, Mars and the Belt. But as soon as Avasarala said “Don’t you fucking dare,” I knew exactly what Holden was going to pull.

Loved that everyone had one more big moment. The flashback to Naomi and Baby Filip caught me off guard. I know I wanted Drummer to end Marco but it had to be Naomi.

I wish the space fights had been longer but that is a tiny complaint. I really loved the ending, so many seeds planted for a possible second show saving, but a strong finale if they don’t.

I guess its finally time to start reading the series.

  11. So, I stumbled across this on Discovery over break and I used to watch back in the Vegas days and I’ve been binging hard over winter break while watching the new episodes too. Kody is super unhinged. Like, I am concerned about the wellbeing of the kids and his wives. How do the people in their lives watch this and not be concerned that Kody is going to snap?

I feel terrible for all the kids, this family is a train wreck. Gabe and Garrison were so angry. Even Savannah seemed on edge during that fight. And we didn’t see any of the other kids. Makes me wonder if the other kids are asking to not be on the show or if the Moms are saying no to having them on air as much.

Binging this show while watching the new season is wild. You start to see the cracks earlier. Kody talking about how Christine blames him for Truely-I bet those were big fights we never saw. Makes you wonder how far back Christine was planning her divorce vs staying for the family. Think Christine took some of her stuff up to Utah at Thanksgiving? Or started looking for a place while she was there?

  12. As with Mando, I just feel like the episodes are so short. I’m not expecting two hours, but I’m surprised we just don’t get more. I hardly remember the other players’ names.

Loved seeing Boba get out of the pit with the wrecked ship in the background. Loved Fennec calling him boss and being more than just the muscle but almost seemed like they were partners.

I think the Twi’leks looked so much better here than they did on Mando. The Casino boss was definitely humoring Boba-I bet she has a lot more power than what Boba realizes. Can’t wait to see who the mayor is.

Also, love me more weird Star Wars aliens. The Rodian, the aliens in the casino and whatever weird creature Boba killed, I loved it all. I want more aliens in Star Wars. The Trandoshan with a Wookie rug?! Those are the small Star Wars alien moments I want to see.

The Rodian couldn’t dig at all with the noodle fingers he had. It was SO DISTRACTING. Can Rodians hold things?

Overall, the show was okay. Moments made me laugh and I appreciate more details in the Star Wars verse. But I wish there had been more to the story.

  13. Prax! I was really hoping we’d get to see him again and that video was perfect. I wish he had said something like Mei says hi or sent a file of kid artwork for Amos but I love that he’s rebelling in a very Prax way. I hope he pops up again.

Amos and Bobby were definitely my favorite in this episode. Them chatting and jarring off with each other was what I’ve also been waiting for since Bobby stepped on the Roci all those seasons ago. Bobby answering her suit was made of Mars when Amos asked what it was made out of was everything.

Jim stopped the torpedo from exploding right? I really want Drummer to stop Marcos so I was initially surprised they were going to take him out so easily without her. I can’t wait to see what they’re building up to with Drummer.

  14. Gah. Elliott, Parker and Hardison are pure magic. Like, they might be my favorite trio ever, they literally sparkle together. I really hope Hardison is around more next season, the episodes he was in were so much better. I could also really tell Jon Rogers wrote this episode too.

Hardison having just enough time to change the code?? *chefs kiss*

I love Sophie. She has delightfully stepped right into the Mastermind role and I LOVE IT for her. And damn, Harry better be back because this episode had me on the shipping train hard.

I will take any more seasons Leverage has to give. Definitely my favorite show and one, I feel, that is needed in today’s world. I wish they would do commentary’s for the shows, I’d love to hear what true life story they borrow bad guy stories from.

There’s no way you could figure it out because the crucial information about Dawn having his pics and setting up his password wasn’t shown to us until the end. That’s my one gripe. A good whodunnit has clues throughout.

Yeah, that was my gripe too. I for sure though it was the volleyball coach but I hated that this whole show was all red herrings and we never saw a freaking clue the whole time. What a bummer.

  16. Watched ‘The Duel’ first. I’m not a big fan of anime but its Star Wars so I thought I would try it. I really liked the Bandit Leader and her device for her lightsaber. I always was surprised we didn’t see more variety of lightsabers considering how creative people are.

Loved the fight between Ronin and her. Is Ronin a sith that goes after other red blades? Or more like Ahsoka, no longer a Jedi and a force welder. Either way, if we get another season, I hope we see him again.

The Batch gets involved with Rogue One prequel events... maybe set up a tangential connection to Cassian Andor live action series

That’s what I was thinking too. Cassian would be really young right? I think he said in Rogue One all he’s ever known is war and being a spy. Makes me wonder if his parents were involved in the rebellion too. Man, when I watched Rebels I really thought we were going to see the Battle of Scarif but wouldn’t it be wild if 99 was there and that’s why we don’t see them later? I kinda hope they don’t, bc just like Rebels, I like seeing other rebellion battles. On the other hand…I do like seeing animated moments on the shows.

Wonder if we’ll get any time jumps. I hope we don’t next season, but maybe eventually see a jump to age Omega a bit or get us closer to the Andor/Rebels timeline.

  18. I was close-Crosshair did choose the Empire over the squad. I’m glad no one died. Anyone up for season two speculation?

There was an interview where Jen Corbett admits Crosshair didn’t have his chip anymore and it should be pretty obvious when that happens. I’m guessing it was after his bout with the Venator’s engine. The Syndulla arc showed he was different, he didn’t kill Howser for his turncoat choice.

I’m speculating he’ll get a Kallus storyline, where he finally realizes the Empire doesn’t care for him, along with a couple of storylines where he butts up against 99, where they show they still care. I hope they actually show Crosshair with the Empire next season, unlike this season where we’re told his chip was removed by the writers and didn’t actually see it.

I’m also hoping we see 99 finally join the rebellion. It would be kinda cool to see a different side of the rebellion. In Rebels, Tarkin talked about how other cells of the Rebellion were killing during their attacks-unlike the crew of the Ghost who tended to stun more when they were on Lothal. It would be interesting to see the start of the rebellion with Rex and Gregor.

Good finale.  Nice story and some outstanding animation.  I give them credit for going with the resolution they did with Crosshair though his Empire love makes no sense after they literally just tried to kill him.  I thought they would have something bigger storyline-wise for this.  I'm really looking forward to what they have in store next season.  I hope that the Batch is fleshed out more as individuals as opposed to a group.

I’m hoping they flesh out the members of the squad next season too. I feel like I learned more about them in the four episodes they were in during Clone Wars versus this season.

I do think Crosshair looked torn again at the end of this episode. I really think if the squad had talked to him more, he might have caved. I feel like we’re going to get a Kallus like story with Crosshair next season where he figures out the Empire actually doesn’t care for him at all. I sure hope he survives like Kallus.

  20. I was a bit underwhelmed. It was gorgeous, but I guess I was just expecting a little bit more.

I can’t believe the squad, including Omega, just decided Crosshair didn’t have his chip anymore. If only they had a scanner on the ship to double check. He was still talking about following orders and holding his head.

Everyone had a moment with Crosshair but Echo. Weirdly, the other member of the squad who had been left behind and then used by the Empire. I was waiting for the two of them to talk because I thought Crosshair would really try to shut it down because Echo is just a reg.

Loved how sad the trooper sounded when telling Rampart Kamino was destroyed. Definitely was a Clone feeling some regret. Might have been my favorite beat the entire episode.

Overall gorgeous but not as impressive as the opener of the season.

Mandalorian canon confirms that Fennec was an assassin for numerous criminal gangs including Jabba before the Rebellion. Maybe Crosshair was her partner for a while...

I bet he does. The Kiner Brothers who wrote the music for the show tweeted near the release of the show that they were working on the finale music and it was making them cry. What’s more heart wrenching then Crosshair choosing to leave his brothers because they left him?

But I also wonder if Echo has one robotic foot out the door too-he seems ready to fight with Rex, especially after rescuing Gregor. What if the Batch fractures and next season is about bringing everyone back together?

  22. 17 hours ago, paigow said:

What kind of cliffhanger is coming? Rex & Gregor have guaranteed plot armour. Cid & her henchmen do not. Nala Se might hijack a transport and rescue The Batch.

I’m wondering if Nala Se still gets her hands on Omega. Now that the Prime Minster is out of the way, she can go back to experiments and not worry about Omega being killed. Maybe we’ll see Shand again with a cliffhanging kidnapping at the end of the episode.

I’m wondering if we get a storyline where Crosshair still has the chip, they get it out and Crosshair still leaves them because he knows they didn’t come back for him. I wondered if Crosshair and Shand join forces at some point because of her impressive long distance shooting skills.

  23. I think Crosshair thinks his chip has been removed. Although it would be interesting if it was really already removed.

Seeing Kamino empty and abandoned was really sad. The Kaminoans just gone without any sort of fight. Snuffed out by the Empire.

Omega is older then the Batch! She’s the big sister. No wonder she’s so attached to them.

I’m guessing we’re going to see more of the underground tunnels next week. Although I can’t imagine how they’re going to get out of the destroyed buildings submerged in water.
