  1. Seeing the sister of the main character and girlfriend of another whither away and die sounds incredibly depressing and pretty much the exact opposite of what I want from this show. I really hope that's not where Scorpion is heading. I do like seeing Sly be the mature one, though.
  2. I just about lost it when I saw Tim eating the pizza in the bathroom. This show does those little throw away gags brilliantly.
  3. The one living with the parents is the middle child. The Colin Hanks character is the youngest, and the sister is the oldest.
  4. Good news for those of us outside Canada and Africa, the Degrassi YouTube channel is uploading full episodes of Seasons 1-10. Season 1 has already been uploaded. Unfortunately, DHX Media, the parent company of Epitome, doesn't own the Canadian (or African) rights so those living there won't be able to watch. Yeah, weird since it's a Canadian show, but I guess that's the TV business for you.
  5. I'm fine with Chris Rock and I enjoyed him the first time he hosted the show. That said, these shows have so many issues that go well beyond who's hosting, I'm not sure it matters all that much who the host is.
  6. I was thinking that maybe they could at least had a reference to him, especially with Conrad getting the cop to release him. So of all the characters the one to get the final word is...Lindsey. Speaking of Lindsey, that whole thing with Grissom not recognizing her, was that supposed to be some kind of inside joke about her being a differnt actor than the last time we saw her? It was okay. It felt a little disjointed, especially in the first half. I wish we had seen more of Brass, and even a little more of the current cast (probably an unpopular opinion). That said, I did like that we got a heavy dose of Grissom, and I was glad to see him and Sara back together, although I too don't want to think too hard about the idea of her giving up the head of the CSI lab job to go off with him. DB will be miles ahead of any character on Cyber the moment he steps on set. That's still not enough to get me to watch, though.
  7. It's for a gallery shoot they did for The Hollywood Reporter in which cast members pose as characters from classic TV shows. You can see the pictures, including the obvious one, at the link below. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/modern-family-cast-re-create-tv-shows_55f9cfe9e4b08820d9171f74
  8. And then there's this thing, which involves a bunch of talented people showing up in what looks like a Hallmark Movie Channel reject.
  9. Imogen was going to OCAD Faculty of Art, which Google tells me in Toronto. But, yeah, they could have put some of the others like Becky and Jenna in a Canadian University. Drew should have graduated with the last class, but because he dropped out for a while he was held back a year. I loved the little scene with Snake and Clare, but he shouldn't have had to explain why he was there- he's Connor's godfather and Connor's been living with him since arriving at Degrassi. That's more than enough reason for him to go to the graduation. I was hoping we'd see Papa and Mama Bhandari one last time.
  10. ..."and almost The Interview" Ha! That alone makes me want to see this movie.
  11. Winston and Zig are in 10th grade along with Tristan, so it's not just a play for freshmen.
  12. From what I understand, it's just going to be the current members (Frey, Henley, Walsh and Schmit). I'll admit that documentary that aired on Showtime a year or two back did make me appreciate their music more. It also made me realize that amazingly enough Henley wasn't actually the biggest asshole in the band. He and Frey are quite the pair.
  13. As expected, The Emmys didn't give the show much love, giving the show only two nominations- one in writing (Do Mail Robots Dream Of Electric Sheep? -Joshua Brand), and the other for, you guessed it, Margo Martindale and her two minutes of screen time.
  14. A big one in the rock music world, bassist and co-founder of Yes, Chris Squire has passed away at 67. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/chris-squire-yes-bassist-and-co-founder-dead-at-67-20150628
  15. My guess is Hemsworth will probably have one or two scenes and they'll be funny. He's already shown that he has a good sense of humor about himself and that's half the battle in those type of situations. The movie itself? Well, I just have trouble seeing any Ghostbusters film working without Bill Murray.
  16. And it's for that reason that I'm not quite as excited for this as I probably should be. Still, Noble's skills and presence are vast, so I do think things will likely work out just fine in the end. I mean it's not like TPTB are going to do something stupid like have him sleep with Joan.
  17. Was he the one that used to post those detailed breakdowns of each episode including the musical cues? Whoever that was robbed me of too much time in my life reading those, lol. Even for episodes I didn't even watch. I can't say I have too personal a story with Dave, but I will say that I was pretty miserable my first semester away at college and watching his show at night (this was the first year of his CBS show) was almost always a highlight of my day. I'll be forever grateful to that, as well all the other countless other hours of joy he gave us over the years. Bill Murray was indeed the perfect final guest. In a way I hope he's one of the "surprises" in tonight's episode. Dylan was about as good as we could expect, and it was clear Dave got a great amount of joy from having him on the show so I'm all good with that. I did get a kick out of how Dave told that story about telling Harry that Dylan was the greatest songwriter and then Dylan comes out and sings a song he didn't write. Still that song, "The Night We Called it a Day" seems pretty appropriate in the end. I think I'm going to go into a media and online blackout from the mid afternoon on until after the show airs tonight. I really don't want to be spoiled in any way for this one.
  18. Bill Murray on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell , talking about being Letterman's last guest and his legacy. This interview took place after Murray filmed last night's episode, but before it aired.
  19. I liked that the boys didn't automatically jump ship with the girls and leave Cory's class. It was an easy joke, but I did laugh at the other class versions of the characters we know and appreciated that it was only a small one minute gag and not something that took up a big portion of the episode. The reference to Feeny always being Cory and Topanga's teacher made me laugh as well and I did like that they at least acknowledged how weird it is that the same seems to be happening with Cory, even if they doesn't appear they'll do anything about it. The bit with Riley at the funeral really didn't make any sense, but it did give us what I thought was a nice little moment between her and Augie. Got a kick out of the morbid joke from the dearly departed Ms. Svorski. Liked the continuity of Maya's mother being a bad actor. Topanga going from being a high powered lawyer to running the bakery wouldn't make any sense in the real world, but if it gets her more involved in the show then I guess I'll take it in the GMW world.
  20. Will he be doing one final Stupid Pet Tricks? I could see that showing up in the last week. I have to figure Regis will still show up, even if it's in a cameo. I'm holding out hope for Springsteen in that final week as well, although I know that's probably unlikely at best. BTW, I didn't see it mentioned above, but buried in the press release about next week's guests is a confirmation that Dave will be interviewing Paul on the Wednesday May 13th episode.
  21. 50 Shades gets the Honest Trailer treatment.
  22. I wish Gloria's scheme had backfired on her in some way. I loved the Jay and Alex conversation, and laughed a whole lot at the stuff with the grill. The rest was, eh, okay.
  23. Figures. The one time I wanted Kentucky to win they don't. I hope Wisconsin didn't use all their mojo to win this game, because for me the only way that game with Duke can be a great one on Monday is if Wisconsin wins.
  24. So on the former NBA all star turned basketball analyst list of rankings, my top choice is Chris Webber, with, I guess Grant Hill next in line. After you get to the bottom, go down a little bit further and then a little bit further than that, and that's where you'll find Reggie Miller. That missed lay up that would have tied the game is going to haunt Gonzaga and their fans for decades.
