  1. I agree with you DB--this show deserves a bigger audience. While I doubt that there is much crossover appeal between this show and the walking dead, it amazed me how versatile Tovah Feldshuh is in playing such distinctly different characters. And even though her lip synching was not exact, it was still pretty damn good. I loved both songs this episode. The Christmas one should become a cult classic. And Josh amazed me with his athletic dancing--I had heretofore thought he was chubby, but I guess that was mostly muscle. Greg and Paula continue to be two of the greatest supporting characters in any show, and Heather is the "Kramer" of the show--so off the wall, but just adorable.
  2. ratgirl, your choices are just so wrong. Though I suspect Noah is just as wrong a choice. What was once my favorite hour of the day, M-Th, has become dead space. I tried two months of Wilmore, and that was enough--he was great when he occasionally appeared on the DS, but I tired of him quickly on a regular basis. Guess I will be going to bed earlier. Even the new Colbert show is not worth staying up for.
  3. Today is Maia Mitchell's (Callie) 22nd birthday. Now the same age as David Lambert. Maybe that's why the adoption intrigue became boring to me. I think Stef and Lena's conflict mirrors a lot of lesbian couples that I have known--the more dominant (butch-ish) one becomes super threatened and tries to clamp down on the more passive one--seen it many times, and always comes across as ugly to me, kind of bully-ish and at the least unfairly controlling. Callie could use some therapy--she keeps making the same mistakes and trying to self-sabotage over and over. The second coming of Jesus--seems like he grew six inches and aged four years. Mariana--grab your dessert spoon--you are getting your just desertion from Matt--although I sympathize with her realizing her mistake, and need to move on without beating herself up further.
  4. Crandon just doesn't work for me. Or Brallie. Whatever. At this point, I hope they elope and end up in a trailer park in Mississippi. The adoption social worker being unconcerned that Lena and Steph are going to couples therapy? Because if the social worker was really doing a final evaluation, it would have included extensive interviews with the parents, and opened up that fact, and led to questioning the stability of their relationship.
  5. Another possibility for the show's focus: Rectumfy--Teddy has grounds for a civil suit against Daniel. Grounds. Get it?
  6. Colin Ferrell is doing amazing work in this series. Rachel and even Kitsch have their moments as well. Vince Vaughn is just terrible, though. A lot of it has to be the writing and directing though, but then how is Ferrell able to overcome those same hindrances? Having said that, I am enjoying the hell out of this cluster-XXXX. Just when I think it can't get worse, it does. And instead of being outraged, I feel like I am watching a "Spoils Before Dying" spoof. My theory is that the blue diamonds are a metaphor for Viagra, and everyone seems to have some kind of sexual dysfunction or fetish. And that "hard drive" is another metaphor. And when NP does a director's cut of this season, it will show the four hours about Stan that was left on the cutting room floor.
  7. Yes they did. I presumed it was to cover why AJ was being moved out and to protect Callie's privacy. However, since Callie is a foster child pending adoption, the lack of licensure would have forced the system to remove her from the home as well.
  8. Why? This show is terrible, even with Dwayne Johnson doing his charismatic best to overcome the clich hip-hop entourageousness that the writers obviously think is original.
