  1. Going back to 2013 Networks and Nielsen started turning over to the C+3 and C+7 (also known as Live +3 and Live +7) These quotes are from Spotted Ratings Like I said previously, Live Only and Live +SD are not used by networks to judge a show. Those numbers are basically used for public consumption so people can themselves see how a show is doing. There are many many shows that do not do well in the Live Only or Live + SD ratings 'yet' remain on the air because they do extremely well in the L+3 and the L+7 ratings. The same is said for the reverse.
  2. No longer are Live + Same Day ratings used. Live + Same Day to 3 AM are more or less just a guide for what these other ratings will bear out over the course of their accumulation. Today what counts is the C + 3, C+7 and even the C+30 day ratings ( C = Commercial, also C+30 numbers only go to network heads, they aren't released to the public). It's these ratings that network and studios base commercial sales on. They also base syndication values on these numbers. Several different posters on Twitter ( Calibadger, TVbytheNumber's, The Cancelation Bear, etc.) have explained all the reasonings for this shift on their websites. With the explosion of Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, On Demand and even internet live streaming the networks have had to change they're thinking about where the money base is, hense why now these other numbers are used. There is also talk amongst those who follow and compile the ratings numbers that 'having' a nielson box will soon no longer matter either as the major TV service provider companies are willing to grant access to their DVR viewing data.
  3. I too have Med. ID bracelet - and Card in my wallet because of a deadly allergy to Penicillin... My husband has one plus his epi pen for severe allergy to Bee stings... Having ID bracelet doesn't mean life threatening illness.
  4. Lewis didn't take down Barlow. What ever Antonia Slade said to him, made him shoot himself under the chin. I think that the 21 sec promo was designed for maximum impact. And Frankly seeing Hotch on his knees hands in the air and then in cuffs being made to do the "Perp Walk" was maximum impact. I do wonder if the flash of Lewis in the prison with her gun drawn doesn't just include her but the rest of the team. Maybe Hotch is in danger in Prison.. (Are we going to get Hotch in Prison Orange?)
  5. Can't blame you on that JMO..... No Hayden hasn't owned up to what she did was wrong. She's just willing to let Rossi suck up and move forward... Bottom line for me is that this writer... should NEVER have even gone to this direction. There is 'no reason' to bring Hayden Montgomery into the CM picture at all... Ok, Rossi's got his daughter now... Leave it at that and her family... And for me... JJ's little scene with Rossi was a slap in the face.. "No what she did was wrong. But She could understand why because she knows Rossi?" Please...
  6. I get what you're saying.. And I agree... Rossi not playing the petulant hurt father is a benefit to the character... WHAT I don't agree with is how he's just so willing to jump back into the 'all's happy and good' between them... It's one thing to move forward and not dwell on hurtful past... It's quite another to act like she was right and jump back into a relationship with both feet... I would have rather seen him admit that he can move forward for their daughter and grandson, but that it would take him some time to truly forgive her for what she stole from him.
  7. I just want to point out to everyone that in Season 3.... "The Crossing".... Hotch and Rossi have a discussion over Chinese food regarding their divorces and why and what happened... Rossi clearly states "I don't know Hotch? Maybe if I had kids it would have tried harder"... Hotch asks him "What do you mean I tried".. And Rossi says "What do I know only people I ever made happy were divorce lawyers"... Rossi was NEVER given the chance to change... to be a good Dad.... He already lost James and Carolyn... Maybe if Hayden had told him Rossi would have been a great dad... Sadly, Hayden's selfish decision took that away from him forever. And It's pretty pathetic of JJ who doesn't really 'know Rossi" to even discuss the issue with him... That scene SHOULD have been Hotch... and a tag into their discussion in the Crossing.... I'm a woman.... and NO WOMAN should have the right to hide something like this from her LEGAL husband.... she was pregnant and MARRIED when he left... At some point over the 29 yrs she should have told him...
  8. Les Moovnes said long ago that CM's renewal hung on if Thomas Gibson renewed. And I believe that holds true today.. The biggest obstacle in renewing for a S13 is that 'all' of the cast has to renegotiate after Season 12... While I'm sure Joe M, Kirsten, and even AJC would resign I have doubts that MGG would as he's been doing so many other projects and I have serious doubts that Thomas Gibson would. Thomas now has a new agent (Paragim) then he did before and over the last few years in interviews he's expressed a desire to do comedy again, do theater again and even branch out his directing and producing some of his own projects. As a fan I bemoan when the team is underused each week in favor of the 'unsub' show. I can't imagine what or how the actor's might feel. Frankly I wouldn't want to stay where the writer's treated the star's as if they were the guest cast...
  9. MMC, You're absolutely right. CBS seems to think the younger viewers are the way to go. But sadly one just has to watch the drop in ratings to see that it's the older viewers who are leaving and the younger viewers not picking up the 'slack'... One thing about CM and CBS though, when it comes to renewal they aren't competing against anyone but CBS shows. So SVU's numbers aren't a problem, as SVU rarely does well in the now coveted Live plus 7 day numbers. CM regularly comes in with very good L7 numbers often only coming in behind NCIS in CBS dramas. Will CM get renewed, yes probably unless Thomas Gibson chooses not to continue with the show. But I do think that Season 12 will be the last.
  10. I think people will be surprised that the ratings don't go down that much if Shemar is indeed the one leaving. Yes he and MGG appear to have a lot of followers on Social Media, however they aren't nearly the amount of show fans who don't post on Social Media... The biggest problem with the ratings right now is that the 'core' group (25-54) keeps shrinking while the desired demo group doesn't increase equally. Hense the overall loss of viewers. While younger viewers might enjoy the soap opera like feel to some of the episodes and also might like the blood, guts and gore often shown that group are not steady loyal viewers as their age often dictates they won't be. Basically younger viewers (late teens early 20's) often have other things in their lives which would quickly take their interest somewhere else. In comparison viewers 25-54 (mostly upper 30's thru 54) want to see the cerebral aspects of the show. Those viewers more then not want to experience the suspense but not see the gore... (hope that makes sense).

  13. Hi Everyone.... I've never posted here before... But of course know of this forum's existence.... The private Forum MMC is speaking of is Mine... It's the Bullpen... And while I know many of you 'used' to post there and no longer do, I also, know many of you still 'read' the forum. Hense how MMC knew about the timing thread.
