  1. I went to several of just these kinds of potluck weddings back in the 1970’s and 80’s. They were cousins and guests didn’t actually bring food but many Aunts provided potluck type foods. Back then, fancy expensive weddings and receptions were only on tv! But Jill wouldn’t cook anything for her own kids’ wedding receptions. Certainly she would expect all of the church ladies to cook and bring food. After all, they should just be happy to be invited to a JillRod show!
  2. Well I guess. However a Certified Professional Midwife has no actual college requirement. A Certified Nurse Midwife has a Master’s Degree.
  3. Also Jill’s ex-pastor in WV was on an ECMO machine , due to severe Covid, for a month. Fools, all of them!
  4. I remember he did a horrific tract complete with a drippy, bloody jesus and a crown of thorns.
  5. I’ve been donating plasma twice a week for nearly 8 years. I haven’t done it for three months, since I needed to stop one month before my bilateral hip replacement surgery, 8 weeks ago. But I was making $55.00, twice a week, so $410.00 monthly. Even if Pat and Tim don’t have a Medigap Medicare supplement to cover out of pocket expenses, Medicare caps out of pocket to something like 7 thousand dollars per year. Once you reach that, you pay nothing for the rest of the year. They should not have a catastrophic expense.
  6. Nurie lives in Florida, although I have no clue how near to Ma K she is. She is married to Anna DUGGER’S brother!!! Jill is so proud!
  7. Oh my! JillRod will be beyond herself that Nurie is hanging out with Anna DUGGER! I wonder if Nurie will take a cheek to cheek photo of herself with Anna DUGGER so Mama can post it on SM.
  8. We have a Proctor-Silex, 4 extra wide slots, that has to be 30 years old. It still works great. I don’t think I have even seen this brand anymore. One thing I am certain of is when we replace it, the next one won’t live one third as long. That’s the way appliances are now.
  9. Last I heard, the mom was terrified of him needing to have an MRI. She declined it.
  10. My mom had five, very close together, back in the late 50’s/early 60’s. She probably would have had more but dad got a vasectomy due to mom falling off a chair and needed back surgery. I am also so relieved Jill finally had a planned hospital birth. When she first got married, she probably figured she would be ultra fertile like Michelle and have a baby every year. I was hoping she would have quit after Sam since their little family seemed complete. I wonder how overwhelmed Jill will be this time around.
  11. We moved into our brand new house 22 years ago and it came with a built in microwave. We have already had to replace it twice, so three in 22 years. About one every 7 years! Built-ins cost so much more than counter top ones, and are so difficult to install, at least for us. We paid Lowes to install our last one. It seemed like a lot of work for him, too!
  12. And my parents would never let one of us kids pay the restaurant tab, even after we were married. And Jill brags about young, low waged Nathan paying for Jill and David’s restaurant meals, more than once. And buy Christmas trees for the family shortly after just having his own son to provide for. Poor Jonathan has probably already been guilted to pony up restaurant meals for the Rod clan too.
  13. I can’t believe Jill got Nurie to donate $100 for her grandpa. When you are a young 20 something couple with a very low paid single income, and a baby with another on the way, a hundred bucks is huge.
  14. I’m guessing it was on deep clearance at DariQueen. It looks like a DariQueen ice cream cake and it’s way too tiny for the size of that family. How sad for all the kids to watch the parents and a few older kids eat it.
  15. I had a double hip replacement surgery 7 weeks ago. Knees are even harder to recover from than hips. Jill has never mentioned her mother’s surgeries. I cannot believe she didn’t send a daughter over to do the cooking, shopping, cleaning and laundry for Pat. She definitely would have needed that help for the first week, preferably for 2 or 3 weeks. But no, she needed all of her many daughters for herself to do all of the work at home. And go on endless rv trips to warble in tiny churches.
  16. Steve even had the gall to complain about “having” to look at his neighbor in a swimming suit, in her own yard! In her own pool! He cannot stand when parents give quiet toys to toddlers in church to keep them quiet . No, they must be taught to sit still and listen to the service from infancy.
  17. That’s actually one of his better photos! Usually she posts him at the pulpit in his strangely fitting suits with his mouth hanging open!
  18. We had a lovely pale gray cat, so very sweet, that my kids named Smoky. I always called him Mokey, my baby talk version of Smoky. I loved that cat so much.
  19. Jessa has a new YouTube video that popped in my feed. She and Ben took the 3 older kids to an indoor rock climbing place. Henry was quite good! Ivy tried hard and spurge was fine but Jessa's loud good job Spurge was cringy. Ben looked funny but I'm sure I would look funny rock climbing, too. Joyless Jessa had her usual commentary of what's it like, is it fun, etc.
  20. Jill always makes sure to post unflattering pics of other “ladies” next to her “perfect” grinning mug.
  21. So Joy appears in be pregnant again? Why would Giddy’s face be blurred out but not Evy’s?
  22. Right? Even though all of the girls are dressed hideously, they rarely seem to wear the same things twice. Especially Jill.
  23. It happened to me with my third, and last, delivery. I broke lots of blood vessels in my eyes and face. Baby had red eyes too. But I have never gotten in front of the podium on my daughter’s graduation day and divulged this! I’ve never even told her! Jill just had to make Phillip’s day all about her! Sort of like how Michelle “celebrates “ Josie’s birthday by telling how she almost died giving birth.
