Is this the first we've seen of Jessa, since the birth, out of the hospital? She is so wan that I do wonder if she was dangerouly I'll, post-partum. If she is healthy, then she looks wonderful! After my first, I also bounced back quickly, thanks to my jogging/walking 3 miles daily during pregnancy, plus excersise.

I watched the whole video. The Pearls are ignorant, hateful people. I grew up in a very definite patriarchal home. My dad was like the Pearls and his word was always the law, even for my mom. The Duggar's seem nearly modern and kind compared to the Pearls of the world. I can't see either JimBob or Michelle giving anything other than a light spanking. Well, Ben took a year off school for the pregnancy, and now he will need another year off because Blessing. Soon, another pregnancy, another Blessing, over and over and over! It's good to see Jessa's been able to breastfeed, after the traumatic birth. Little Spurgeon has the little cracked lipped, blister babies sometimes get after prolonged nursing sessions.

Her beauty and patience are obvious. After the video ended, several more appeared for viewing. I've seen every episode, but there were clips there that I never remember seeing. What really stood out to me was the absolute feralness of these children! Running through the house from the kitchen into the living room with balls of pie crust dough in their hands. Jenny running around with a mixing bowl filled with as yet unmixed egg, butter and boxed cookie mix. Kids making slushies and absolutely trashing the entire kitchen in doing so. Kids crawling all over counters and tables and appliances! The kitchen floor itself was unsafe for that many kids running around. There was at least one broom laying in the middle of the room,on the floor. Kids running around had to dodge brooms and mop buckets! I can't even begin to imagine the greasy hand prints on the cupboards, walls, doors and furniture!

From Jenny's earliest years, she has looked withdrawn, incredibly sad, and usually turned away from or hiding from the camera. I'm sure they have never even considered therapy for that poor child. They probably think Jenny has a rebellious heart, and in a few years, she most likely will be shipped off to JOTH!

The Duggar kids are often shown on social media spouting out bible verses. I think verse memorization was highly stressed at the SOTDRT. I've known deeply devout Christians, and never do they go around saying bible verses! I really doubt they talk that way at home around each other! It's all for show! It reminds us of just how Godly and conservative a family they are. Maybe a verse written on a Christmas card is the most I've seen in real life.

That Duggar Christmas video is strange to me. Of course, we have the Mostest Smuggest Josh leading us around the warehouse mansion, teaching us all about Christmas, stopping to have Michelle explain to us all about the baby Jesus, peaking into the mailroom where the ever-working Jana (who, by the way, has perfected the fundie-bump hair), is sorting all of the international leg-humper Christmas cards. Enter into the industrial kitchen where the twin J-boys are pretending to be hand washing coffee mugs. When there are TWO Industrial dishwashers right there! When Joshie asks what yummy foods will be cooked to fill the restaurant buffet table, the boys look perplexed and couldn't name a single menu item. Because they knew that the J-slaves would be peeling plastic film off frozen tubs of food and slopping it onto the buffet. They show us a bowl of "homemade" cookies looking like stale, store-bought Chips Ahoy! Sweet Jinger and Joy are assembling gift bowls for their neighbors. Do the Duggar's even have neighbors? Into the bowls, they put a full sized bible!, fake $100 track, one banana, one orange, one apple and dollar store candy! Jackson is trying to interest Justin with an indoor game of football, who just walks away. And hi Jordyn, who is helping herself to a snack; most likely her breakfast was an instant packet of oatmeal mixed with warm tap water, most likely prepared by Jackson. Enter into the train station sitting area, where various adult Duggar's hand out. Then we get to hear the very special Christmas story, told by Ben while Jessa gazes creepily at her Headship. The whole video is finished off by the barefoot Duggar's singing a Christmas song, making precious, sweet, super awesome family memories! Oops Sorry! Michael endorsed young marriage so young people need not wait too long for sex. Honestly, I do believe that is the reason many fundies marry young. A year ago, Michelle animatedly told Guinn that she would most likely be a grandma in less than a year. Guinn reacted as if she had been slapped! She seemed shocked! "Well not too soon, I hope"
