  1. While I loved that show, the thought of it without John Mahoney makes me feel a little misty. I don't understand all the reboots. Has anything come close to the quality of the originals? Any of them?
  2. The impact of Bobbie being dressed in black was significantly lessened by Sam also being in black. If they're going to try and sell Jason and Sam, KM needs to dial it back in the way she looks at Miller. Though I guess it doesn't matter; I'm not buying that Sam is feeling any pull towards Jason at all. Michael's fate - Oh, how I wish I cared. Jon Lindstrom is successfully walking that thin line as to whether or not he's a good or bad guy right now. I guess we'll know when, or if, we find out who's being held in the next room. Unless that gets dropped, as FV sometimes does with story. Today he seemed to be in the good guy camp, but just enough with the facial expressions that it could still be up in the air. Chase was so wooden today. Maybe he got his script at the last minute. Carly is an idiot.
  3. Whenever I'm feeling really down I head to YouTube and watch that episode. It has never failed me. Oddly enough, I've never been moved to see The Monuments Men. I think it's because I'm afraid it will ruin, or take away from, this episode. So for me, The Monuments Men Couch is what I watch for true moments of comedic brilliance. Movie? What movie?
  4. I read that scene the same way. And that the audience was being shown once and for all that's Nelle is a batshit loon who has completely lost touch with reality. The way CL played that scene with Brad was actually the only time I found her somewhat convincing as a person to be feared.
  5. I've watched it three times and I've cried - starting about two thirds in - each and every time. What is wrong with me? Yes, oh boy - James can be a lot to take. I treat his show like a YouTube buffet, if I see a guest I really like as either an interview or a Car Pool spot. I don't think my TV has actually ever been turned directly to his show. Yet I still feel like I've seen ever so much of him.
  6. Still rewatching, I'm early in Season 6. "When singing Toto why is it always Africa? They've got a deep catalog!"
  7. I'm doing a rewatch and I'm on CeCe's wedding. For some reason: "I don't think the badger is actually rabid; I think he's just kind of a dick." cracked me up.
  8. That was my initial reaction too - not another one! Then I watched the trailer. Yeah, they got me. Well, they got me for when it's available to stream somewhere.
  9. I know! In that first picture I had no idea that was Emma. Good group. I miss the days when these were the characters that drove story. And, yes, I know Anna has the Heinrich thing going on but that has only served to take FH further and further from the kick ass strong woman that Anna Devane used to be.
  10. Sometimes I think a very good movie needs to be left to stand alone. I think A Quiet Place is that kind of movie. (So was Jaws, but I digress...) Now on Star Wars I can see the natural progression for the next chapters and the earlier ones. It had a huge scope and a gazillion individual plot lines. A Quiet Place? Not so much. I think they should leave it be and be happy with the movie they got. Krasinski showed a lot of talent and potential here; let him find, or write, another film and back him on that.
  11. And for five glorious years he was. I miss those days. I feel nothing in Jason's scenes with Sam. Whatever chem they had seems to be gone.
  12. Silicon Valley. And it's not that I miss Erlich; I never liked TJ Miller all that much anyway. IMO, it's now gross, predictable and just plain unfunny.
  13. This. They have a nanny for Avery yet they won't bring in someone for Mike? I know it's because of story and Sonny's pain or whatever, but even if it's off screen, Mike should have a caregiver. I'm waiting for Sonny one day to say he put Milo on Mike detail.
  14. Milo Forman made some wonderful films. My favorites of his: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Amadeus, The People vs Larry Flynt, Ragtime, and Man on the Moon. He really didn't do another major picture after that last one - I figured Jim Carrey broke him. RIP sir.
  15. I would pay good money to see that the moment Anna and PeterHeinrich realize they are mother and son - a moment where he is in peril and needs saving of course - for him to call out "Mommy!", her to shout out "my boy!" and for them to go running toward each other in an alleyway. That's the only way this story would stop being the most boring story ever. And maybe not even then. By good money I'm talking, say, five dollars.
  16. I know they're not going for comedy with Nelle but she is cracking me up. Today she looked like an escapee from the Mad magazine Spy vs Spy cartoons. I'm running hot and cold on RoHo; I do think he has his on days and did a good job today and yesterday. And I want Sam with Drew (yeah, I know - fat chance.) I like him now and think KeMo has moved on to have better chemistry with Miller than Burton. I also think BM and Roger work well together.
  17. I'm so sorry, MNEMOYSYNE. As for today's episode, I got nothing. Since nothing actually happened. And I hate when they do flashbacks to stuff we just saw last week.
  18. I enjoyed most of the clips and that a good number of the cast was at the party, but with both the Sonny propping and getting a flashback of Geary (who also was always there in spirit since it took place at "Luke's" and the closing shot was of the sign) then not getting any Genie clips left me feeling bitter and pissed off. That was just wrong, IMO. Kristina Wagner is still incredibly stunning. I also tear up a bit at "not Barbara Jean's heart" and when she collapses to the floor. Hi Lucy! See you in another six months or so.
  19. Still have remnants from my long ago fan girl crush for MEK. He's one of the few from the old days I would like to see again.
  20. Diane from Cheers. I adore the character; in real life I'd probably have to smack her. Often.
  21. I just finished Season 3; I had forgotten how much fun it was to read the title cards. Cougarton Abbey still makes me giggle.
  22. I saw he was trending and I teared up a bit even before I clicked, hoping I was wrong as to the reason why. RIP sir. You were amazing.
