  1. I wish the author had proofread this....Got a few details wrong. Sigh. The honeymoon episode was in Season 7 (said Season six in one part of the article, 7 at the end.) The Time Traveler told them that they have 3 kids, not 4. Rick fathered 4 kids counting Alexis, but had 3 with Kate. If you are gonna do articles like this...for God's sake either WATCH the episodes or have an actual fan proofread.
  2. I think a big part of SK and NF's public relationship or lack there of is to keep the Stanathan crazies at bay. Bad enough Stana has her crazy stalkers and death threats, could you imagine what they would have to deal with if they were seen at each other's houses or at Jon's restaurant or at one of Seamus' things? (Nathan and Kris fight for Stana! Stana has to choose between the men she loves garbage....etc..) As far as onset drama....I didn't see it on the screen, so who cares?
  3. I've unfollowed many Stana fanatic in this fandom due to their disrespectful attitude toward Kris, Nathan, anyone who they perceive is beneath Stana...to the point where they are being disrespectful to Stana herself. Stana was an amazing casting choice when Castle first came out. I came to the show for Fillion, but was happily surprised by Katic. Stana is very beautiful, smart, talented, kind...and I have been entertained by her work...which is her JOB! I will continue to watch anything she's in. Stana is also smart enough and mature enough to pick her own husband and manage her own career thank you very much. To hear some of Stana's "fans" talk, it seems that Stana is some gullible fool/unicorn/delicate creature...which is ridiculous and disrespectful to her. Beckett is very much Stana's creation, and I seriously question anyone thinking that Stana doesn't know her own character and/or her own mind and heart about her own life. It makes me very happy to see how happy she is to be married to the love of her life (her words)! Last year, when all the resigning nonsense was going on.....I remembered thinking...whatever happens...whatever she decides. Still goes for this year. No one can take away the fact that Stana has done marvelous work these past 8 seasons...and will continue to do so in whatever role she chooses for herself in the future.
  4. Alan had an idea for how he'd do a Castle episode and spoke of it at a con I attended. I wonder if they'll use it, or try something else. Definitely hope that he'll have more interaction with Castle than Gina Torres did when she did the show! Such a disappointment. I mean, they could have gotten any actress to do what Gina did on the show....it was so forgettable.
  5. I think an apology that consists of "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" delivered by a tearful woman who walked to your place in the rain is definitely more than a barely there apology. Yes, the answer scene to the proposal was a disappointment. I remember thinking..."I waited all summer for this?".
  6. You're welcome, Verdana. I needed to take a happy break and watch kitten videos after reading some parts of Twitter.
  7. Well, it isn't about the books anymore....but it could certainly help!
  8. I actually read the entire Twitter conversation. IMHO Toks handled herself very well considering that she was dealing with people that got her confused with someone else with the show, and were venting at her as if she is solely responsible for the direction that Season 8 is taking. Yes, she's been on the show for 4 months....which is 4 months more than me. She actually works with all the people that put on the show, which again is more than me....so even if I disagree with her opinions, she has a right to them, and definitely has a perspective that I don't have.
  9. Hmmm. She wrote the scene where Castle confronts Beckett with her lie about working Christmas....She owned up to it immediately and he understood. Then she gets Karpowski to cover for her and goes to the loft, where he's just about to leave to join her at the precinct. I loved that scene.
  10. Hmmmm....why post THIS kind of sneak peak? We've got meltdowns happening all over the place and fans throwing in the towel. They must either be 1. totally tone deaf OR 2. This is a fakeout....and this scene is made up for elsewhere by another scene....perhaps when Rick realizes (with the Nose) that Kate has gone down the rabbit hole again. This is only a tiny part of the show and not what the whole thing will be about, so I'm going to hold my fire (and Ire) until AFTER I see the episode. There's supposed to be a payoff of some kind by the fall finale. It better be a good one, or I'll start stockpiling my eps to watch after the series is cancelled.
  11. Its no accident that Ryan is now working for Rick on the side. He's going to be a big help in this, I think.
  12. I've been with my spouse for 20, friends for 30....and if he did that to me when I knew that 1. he was a member of law enforcement and 2. had gotten 5 of his previous co-workers killed then I would think that this was definitely PTSD related and that something was up that he wanted to protect me from. I would listen when my spouse told me that he loved me and that our separation wasn't my fault. I would look out for myself and let him know that my door was open if he wanted to share, but that I was going to move on with my life. I would love to see Rick speak up for himself. He's done it before, (3x23, 4x23, 5x23) I hope to Gawd we don't have to wait until 8x23 to hear him speak up this time.
  13. If things stay the way they are week after week after week it would be boring as hell until May. However, I'm thinking of 8x01 and 8x02 as the opening act. Not all the pieces were there. 8x03, 04, 05 and 06 are supposed to fill in the blanks until 8x07 and 08...where something happens that changes things up again. Yeah, November sweeps too. Then we have something to obsess over the holidays until February Sweeps where we have more of the shakeups. Then we get into the March and April episodes which set up the finale...which will probably be the series finale. ABC will market the heck out of it when that happens. Watching Castle got a lot less stressful for me once I started looking at it as more than a love story, but rather a TV series whose prime function is to generate revenue for ABC. I'm glad someone is mentioning Rick's previous divorces....Really makes that line "I've been married three times, I know what I'm doing"...kinda sad, huh?
  14. I disagree. I've been married a looooong time, and with my hubby 10 years before that. You don't tell your spouse everything....especially if you are trying to figure something out. Nothing that Kate is doing seems out of character or unrealistic to me, because I've lived something similar to it. I'm looking forward to seeing Kate and Rick to work through and resolve this crisis to their marriage. Because it can be done, and the marriage is stronger for it...because you know that you can go to the brink...and make it back to each other. From that little snippet of conversation with the Irish mob hit man (lol), Rick knows that something is going on with Kate and that she's crying out for help. Whew, a step up from last week's initial reaction....which is Rick being Rick by thinking it was him. As much as I hate seeing them apart....its obvious that they still love one another and will find their way back to each other. In the meantime, I'm getting tons of great scenes with Nathan, Stana, Jon, Seamus, Molly and Susan. And what some see as a season 4 retread....I'm seeing callbacks galore. I did a rewatch of the DC arc, and now am hitting all the seasons 1,2,3 and 4 callbacks that present itself.
  15. I'm very happy they added this new recurring character . One of the things I wished they did in previous seasons was have Beckett go toe to toe with slimy lawyers. I think there was one in Season One....but that's it. Has Beckett ever had to deal with a murderer going free because they made a "deal" and so forth? It was her worst nightmare in regards to finding her mother's killer-- that he'd make some deal and only do a couple of years....which is how many years Bracken did before he got shanked in solitary.
