I'm hoping that these people whose lives and finances were destroyed by the post office and their software get some kind of justice by the end of this show.

    Spoiler

For some its too late.   One lady lost her family and her home, she wound up drinking herself to death - literally.   There were other cases like that.

  2. GOOD.   Turnabout is fair play.

Seriously no one thought it odd that the organization brought private prosecutions for theft when those they accused said it was the post office's software.   Like, the barristers?   Not a single one went "they all were told they were the only one having problems, but that's clearly not the case based on the number of prosecutions."

  3. The stuffed animals on the bed was creepy.   We know this is true that Andrew has a thing for having them arranged just right.

I believe the Queen got an advance copy, but also believe that she thought Andrew came across just fine.   She always did have a blind spot for him.   At least in this show Andrew has some inkling that when his mother died, he wouldn't be so privileged anymore.   But yes Andrew is that dumb to believe he came across well.   I doubt he hired anyone who would tell him otherwise.   He does not strike me as the type of person who surrounds himself with people with tell him no.

Gillian Anderson has that posh lady accent down perfectly.   Low,slightly slowed speech.

So does this mean that "Bud" isn't ignoring "No Soliciting" signs and bothering people in coffee shops anymore? 🤔

Pretty much why he had to get  his own "coffee bar."   He's been banned from coffee shops.

If he has a "ministry" now does that mean he gave up on selling insurance?   Is he part of the clearinghouse like his parents?   Is he following in his father's footsteps of not working because he has a full time "ministry?"    I hope Heidi is as good at the grift as Jill is.

I know, at work it makes me feel better when I find out someone else is having the same problem.

Instead the Horizon was blaming the poor postmaster Instead of fixing the problem.

The arrogance of not being willing to accept that their brand new system was not perfect!

It wasn't so much Horizon wouldn't admit it.    It's that the government spent millions of pounds, so they couldn't admit that even though they spent all that money, there were still problems.   Which as noted here, any competent software engineer could have told them that its normal and not a waste of the money they spent to have to debug it.

  6. I would not trust his parents to supervise him -- they knew about his behavior years ago and swept it under the rug.

I would not trust Anna to supervise because having a husband is more important to her than anything else.

The federal judge would not release  him on bond to his home because he didn't trust anyone there would report any violations.    That's why he had to stay at the Rebers until trial.   The same thing would happen once he was on supervised release, none of them would report violations then either.  The ones who would won't be anywhere around Josh.

  7. Can't wait to see this.    I've been following the real case.     There is STILL no compensation for the victims.   For some victims, its too late.   They killed themselves over this.   The postal service allowed people to be convicted felons, ruined lives, etc. rather than admit the software they spent millions of pounds on was faulty.

Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if all those improvements to the existing space didn't include upgrading the insulation.

Oh I'm sure Mr. Construction David put in proper insulation.

All those big open spaces (meaning no doors) with high ceilings are really hard to heat and cool.   Its not a small house, $1000 a month is not out of the question, especially as electric costs rise.   I noticed our kwh has doubled.    But of course Jill will just grift rather than conserve.    She won't unplug all her little candles, lights, etc.

I suspect he does, but I also am not sure he really cares, which is probably the same difference.

He doesn't know nor does he care.   Which pretty much sums up his approach to his marriage and his kids even before he went to the pokey.

Is there a plexus getaway on 9/14?

Im thinking Philip was so uneducated that he can’t even hack a Bible college. Or he lost his license and could not drive there.

Or P met a girl and Mahmo put a stop to that non sense.

Or he was getting too independent and having thoughts like "Mahmo isn't always right."   And EATING.   The fact he was filling out made her care of the other kids look twice as bad.

  11. Look do you really expect Timothy to know what "no soliciting" means?   With a mother who converts people in the laundromat?   It's gonna take more than a few months of exposure to other ways before it sinks in.   Baby steps.   he didn't sulk and whine when he got beat at games by Heidi, its an improvement.   Because you know Jill always wins  or the world ends.

But the Queen thing.   I just find it cringe.   Its overused.   Also the Queen is sovereign and above the law.   In a marriage, its a partnership.    No one is queen or king for that matter.   But that's a personal thing.

  12. If SCOTUS denies cert (doesn't take the case) that's pretty much the end of the line.    There won't be any more legal bills.    Since he already filed for cert (request for the Supremes to take the case) there should be only minimal or even no legal bills until such time as the Supremes make a decision to take the case or not.   If they don't (which is more than likely) then that's it.   No more bills.   So that drain was ending soon already.

Now the ongoing support of Anna and the kids, that's going to continue.   From what I gather Anna helps out around the big house, helps with the homeschooling, etc., so she does "earn her keep" so to speak.   And the kids are more minions for Jim Bob to control and raise the Duggar way which is to never question him.   Then the girls will be married off and the boys will find jobs in Duggar enterprises.

I can’t wait!  Life has been boring since the punta Cana trip ended.

That's why she is not posting -- she hasn't thought up the latest drama.    She already did everyone sick, her shoulder/knee, a miscarriage, and being attacked by a can of beans.    She is realizing posting her never ending vacations is starting to hurt her "brand."    So she has to come up with new storylines.    It takes a bit to come up with a Jilly worthy drama.

  14. Considering David Waller was pretty high up in Gothardism and was at HQ with Bill Gothard, I have my own ideas on why he and Josh are friends.   And that's all I am going to say.

  15. I am quite sure that the lawyers explained the likelihood of success of the Supreme Court even taking the case to both Josh and Anna -- and Jim Bob.    Whether they listened or not is another matter.

  16. Oh heavens, selling insurance where you have to generate your own leads is all about cultivating relationships.    Asking random people in a coffee shop then leaving bad reviews when you are told to stop is not how to go about it.   Of course, he will just claim persecution instead of change his approach.

I was so hoping that exposure to Heidi's family would change him.   Guess that Jill brainwashing is strong.

Well that judge ruled against alex getting a new trial but it’s still going to the court of appeals so hopefully they’ll rule against a new trial too.

    IMG_7700.jpeg

He has little or no chance of prevailing on appeal.   First off, there is great deference to the trial court.   The appellate court also does not work with "innocent until proven guilty."   Finally most of the "errors" like allowing the financial stuff in was the defense's own fault -- they opened the door to it.

Of course, they will also appeal the denial of a new trial.   But the SC Supreme Court picked Justice Toal for a reason.   She's a former Supreme Court justice herself.   She knew at the time she ruled how the appeals court would view everything she did.   They chose her to make the ruling appeal proof.   I do not think that has sunk into Dick and Jim's ego filled heads.

I still don't get why Dick and Jim are so invested in him being proven innocent.  This is beyond even protecting the good ol boy network.   This is like personal.   Which is bad for a defense attorney to do.
