  1. I was happy to see PJ Granger finish since he lives not that far away from me. I spent a lot of time in Bedford as a teenager. To me it sounded like they were trying to imply he was ex Amish. This is a very conservative Christian area though so it could be any number of churches he left though. Glad the weatherman and Elet made it through. I thought for sure Michelle was getting through. Glad she will be in the finals. I thought the wind chimes was the easiest new obstacle this season. Snake river didn't seem too bad once people figured out to jump. All in all not a bad ep.
  2. I thought this course was easier overall than Venice and Houston. Yeah, the log roll was harder than the previous version but still better than some of the obstacles we've seen. That is one thing I don't like much about the show, different courses for different cities. We've taljed about how some who fail on one course could maybe finish on another. I don't know what the fix would be though because the same course in all cities would be boring for us to watch. Maybe they need to hire retired competitors as testers and have them rate difficulty and advise on how to divide them up among the courses so each one is similar in difficulty to all the others. I really don't like the ninjas being allowed to skip parts of obstacles. They should have to hit all 5 steps since it's called the quintuple steps. They should also have do some rolling on the log roll. The guy who jumped should have been a dq along with the one who rolled on top of it. I didn't find too many tonight who were super rootable/likeable. My favorite was the nerdy rock climber - I hope she comes back next year. Flip did redeem himself fairly well I suppose. Overall kind of a meh episode for me. Bring on the weatherman! Have any women made it to the city finals? I think maybe Meghan did but can't totally rmember at this point.
  3. I may be going aginst the grain a little but I really enjoyed this ep. I got the result I wanted but since I wanted Meghan to win only slightly more than T, I would have still been happy had it gone the other way. I liked that we were guaranteed a skilled winner who liked and respected the other. They both seem to be mature women who kick ass at what they do and handle themselves professionally. I hope that the win works out for Meghan and that it helps get her to where she wants to eventually be in hrr career. I also hope the exposure T got from the show opens up a world of opportunities for her and that she lands her dream job. I loved, loved, loved seeing Christina again because she is my all-time favorite chef from HK, let alone winner. Is she still working for Gordan in an actual head chef position? If so it would seem she took advantage of her win a initial "head chef" job. And on a shallow note she was damn sexy in those glasses;) I assumed that Milly would be the first pick and deservedly so but was a bit surprised Michelle was 2nd. It was nice to see her get the respect that I suspect she deserves. I wouldn't be surprised if Michelle ends up having the most sucsessful real world career over the next 10 or 20 years. Allison was solid as usual but Josh surprised me with a good performance. Randy shouldn't have been brought back but I think the idea is probably to bring back some weaker ones to see how final 2 handle them. It helped Meghan that she only had 1 weak one while T had Adam and the blonde one (can't remember her name.) T should have taken Josh but was very smart in snagging Nick since he ended up being really strong. Plus she was smart in how she handled the weaker 2. I am always hesitant to think I know whst these people based on their edit but I'm going to venture there anyway. I came away thinking that Meghan needed the win a bit more than T. It seems like Meghan is very work driven and a personal life is a very distance 2nd. Meanwhile T appears to have a good family life to go with her career. I think T probably went home after the final and got a lot of support at home that made it easier to regroup and move foward. If Meghan had lost I suspect she would have felt way more lost and empty. On a final note, what cracked me up the most was that the more Michelle drank the more she was hugging on Meghan. One more drink and Meghan could have gotten lucky:) I say that jokingly of course.
  4. While I do think they have promoted Kacy way too much but I don't put the blame on her (or at least not the vast majority of it.) Her body looked like she had actually invested time and effort into getting stronger but I don't know that she could have done enough mental training to deal with the pressure she had to be feeling. And there is certainly nothing she can do about her height which I think played into her falling. I won't have any issue with her getting a wild card because I have seen other people get them for less. I actually liked this ep the best so far. I really wanted the breast cancer survivor to make it further but what she did was amazing considering where she has been in the recent past. And I also really liked the 21 year old rookie who sings opera. He might be a little cocky but he is really good and I'm looking forward to seeing him again. I was also gkad to see Mr. Kacy make it up the wall this year. He seems like a good guy and I wouldn't mind seeing him be the first to go all the way.
  5. I posted earlier today in the spec thread that i thought will would flip to mike and carolyn and they'd be the final three:) Now I'm really looking forward to seeing if he does it for the reason I said (assuming of course that they really are the final 3.) I did just post that i thought rodney went out 5th but it was kind if a coin toss for me so i can deal with being wrong on that:)
  6. I don't know, I just don't think that Rodney would have been edited was edited the wsy he was if he was the winner. They didn't have to show nearly as much of the birthday tantrum as they did and I can't see them showing Jeff ask rod if he felt entitled if rod won. Plus there's all the hot-headed behavior that was shown. I think presenting the winner they way they presented rodney only hurts tgeir brand. I mean is tgere really anyone who hinestly feels sorry for the guy because of the not winning rewards? And how many people out there are going to sit down to watch tonight and think "Oh plesse, please, please let Rodney win this!"? I doubt there are many in that category! My final prediction is: 5th - rodney 4th- sierra 3rd - will 2nd - carolyn Winner - mike Less than an hour until we can srart to put thus season out of our misery:)
  7. I think it's going to be will that flips to mike snd carolyn. My msin reason for that is the scene of them on rewatd ladt week. The whole bit of them talking about being f3 seemed so out of place to me. The discussion went no where so why show it? I really believe the included it because that is what ends up happening. So why would will flip? I think it's because he actually believed he could win against those 2. The main thing to remember is that our perception of the edited episodes is much different from the players when they're in the game. I can see will thinking that he only needs 4 votes to win if one of mike or carolyn gets at lesst one vote. He would be counting on getting dan's vote and woukd probsbly think he would get rodney's even if he flipped. Also at that point he would've thought everyone hated shirin ss much ss he did so his attack on her would actually be a selling point. I can see him trying to make a "no collar strong!" appesl to hsli, jenn and joe even though he flipped on them too. If he was able to get them tgen he would have 5 votes and win. We know that isn't going to happen but i honestly believe will would not have at that point. So yeah, tgat's the prediction i am going with. I'm also not sure thst sierra is going before rodney. Her efit would fit eith her going out in fifth place but there is still the possibility that will would want rodney out first so he'd have ss much cooling off time as posdible before FTC. I don't have a prediction for that one. I am finfing myself interested in seeing how it all plsys out even though i am more than ready for the season to be over. I am judt hoping mike csn win this thing so it's not a complete waste of my time:)
  8. With 8 on the jury the winner only has to get 4 votes if it's 4-3-1 or 4-2-2. What 4 votes could rodney get especially if he is with mike or carokyn? I think he gets dan's vote (and i suppose will's if will is in the jury) but i'm hard pressed to come up with who else would vote for rodney.
  9. [quote name="Way Wes Jr" post="1146333" 5. Will Who will get zero votes, and third place money. I think it's entirely possible that Will gets Dan's vote over anyone but Rodney. And he may have a shot at getting Rodney's vote if he ends up on the jury as well.
  10. I thought I read that people didn't really have much of a problem with Dan until after the show started airing? If that is the case I doubt there will be many fireworks at Ponderosa even between him and Shirin.
  11. I haven't seen any commercials or online clips so my spec is based solely on last week's preview. I still think Mike wins the IC. If he didn't have immunity I don't think that he would think he could convince one of the women they were in trouble. In the clip Sierra and Carolyn looked serious and if Mike didn't have the necklace I think they'd be laughing. If Mike was just scrambling I could see him maybe saying that Rodney was going after Carolyn as revenge for the birthday reward he didn't get. But the idea that Mike could convince them that DAN was voting one of the women is right up there with Rodney's plan last week. They all know that Dan is voting Mike the first chance he gets. So I think Mike has immunity and Dan, Rod and Will decide to go after one of the women. I also think we will see Dan's extra vote in play tonight. I know Jeff said it plays out beautifully but I'm expecting that it will be a boring 4-3 vote. Dan's 2 votes, rod and will versus the other 3. Or dan uses it on a tie vote re-vote to send Carolyn or Sierra home. And I'm gonna go with Sierra. At this point I'm starting to wonder if Mike and Carolyn both make F3. One path would for one of them to win F5 immunity and the other use the idol. Then one of them win F4 immunity - and my money would definitely be on one of them winning against the competition - so thst they control that final vote.
  12. I don't have any info about the place but do agree with the poster who said that it sounds like a great place for a kid's birthday party. My guess is that this place has already been book for Survivor Rodney's 31st birthday:)
  13. I don't think Jeff woukd have to look at the votes to know, or at least "know", who won. For example if it was Mike, Will and Dan in the F3 and the jury did a "You suck, you suck harder, congrats Mike." Then Jeff would have a really good idea who was taking the money.
  14. Tyler's video was not enough to make me forget that he told wome to "Sit there and look pretty." during the game. Wonder if he pulls that shit with his wife?
  15. I'm holding on to Jeff saying the winner is likeable. That means it can't be Will or Dan. I also don't think Rodney would be considered likeable after last night's "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" episode. If the final 3 really is those three assholes you're gonna hsve to pass me the puke bucket!
