  1. I know that Cristy should never have let herself get so far behind in the rent, that the family had to flee the house before they were evicted, but it's not all her fault. Bonnie and Violet need to step up and start contributing to the household expenses. They are both able bodied and capable of holding down jobs. Bonnie does have that life coach job, but she surely isn't making much money from that, and she should go out and get a part time job to help out the family. Luke could pitch in too. He's often at their house, eating their food. I know that tv shows are often far from realistic, but it bugs me that there is a rather simple solution to their money troubles, that's not even being discussed.
  2. April's mother said that the crib had been used for several generations. I thought those old cribs with the side that slides up and down were considered dangerous now and are not supposed to be used. It seems like at least April would know that, and would let her mother know why they couldn't use it. I get that she wouldn't want to hurt her mother's feelings, but April surely wouldn't want an unsafe crib.
  3. I don't see any reason to include the estranged relationship between Pride and his wife. This is a crime show and other sub plots aren't needed. That said, I'm enjoying this show a lot. I agree with many others here that LaSalle/Lucas Black is the best thing about the show, and I like the camarderie between the characters. I was suspicious of the son when he was first shown. It was kind of late in the show at that point and I didn't think there would be much more time for another suspect to turn up. Plus, he gave off a strange vibe to me.
  4. This show just hasn't gelled for me. I'm still watching it, but I only know a couple of the character's names, and I don't yet care about any of them. All the time switches don't help in holding my interest. They seem to make the show needlessly convoluted. I want to like it, but at this point I'm just watching it out of habit. The fact that there is apparently no downstairs bathroom in a house that big and expensive looking bothered me too. And is there only one bedroom in the house? Annalise told her husband to sleep on the couch, instead of telling him to sleep in the spare bedroom.
  5. There may not have been any body in the barrel at all, which is why it should have been checked there in Columbia. There wouldn't be a reason to transport a barrel that was filled with something other than the possible body of Danny's brother. I wouldn't think that they would want to haul the barrel back to the U.S. without at least knowing what it contained. A quick look would have told them whether or not there was a body, then they could have transported the barrel and body for the medical examiner to check out.
  6. I know that Danny didn't want to see the decomposing body of his brother, but he did need closure and needed to make sure that his brother really was dead. Personally, and as a cop, he should have looked in the barrel, or asked Steve to do so.
  7. I found this to be one of the funnier episodes they've had in a while. I don't know if it's due to the separation of the guys and the girls or not.
  8. I too thought that William Mapother would be the bad guy. He's another alumni of Lost to appear on this show. I have enjoyed both of these shows from the new season. I think that all the current characters are working well together.
  9. I've never even heard of Broadchurch (hope it's okay to mention the title in this thread) but I enjoyed Gracepoint and it looks like it will be an interesting whodunit.
  10. My dislike of Maggie continues. I'm not fond of Amelia either, so they can both leave.
  11. This was a lot better than last week's show. I enjoyed several of the skits, whereas last week, I forwarded through several of them. I thought someone would have told Darrell Hammond to speak up during the opening announcements, but he didn't sound any louder this week, and is still barely audible over the music.
  12. I may come to like Maggie more as the season progresses, but I really don't care too much for her now. At this point, the less I see of her, the better.
  13. This was better than the pilot, mainly due to the fact that those bratty kids were in very few scenes, but I'm still not sure this is a show I want to continue watching. The fact that the story of squirrel abuse was brought up for laughs was a turn off for me. I don't care what kind of animal it is, I don't find abuse of them to be funny. That short scene wouldn't be a reason for me to stop watching, but it didn't help in my evaluation of the show. Most of the characters so far are not that appealing to me. I'll give it another try or two before deciding if it's a go or not for me.
  14. The voice of the female genius was very distracting to me. I kept thinking it was dubbed. I liked some aspects of the show, and I'll tune in for more episodes, but I'm not sure yet if I'm in it for the long haul. Robert Patrick was indeed spooky looking in that flashback. I know they were going for a younger look for him, but the results were more like a Halloween mask.
  15. That was really disappointing. I didn't like anything about it. I've always enjoyed Josh Lucas, but his presence didn't help at all. I have the second episode on dvr, so I'll go ahead and watch that in case it's a big improvement over the pilot, but I find it difficult to believe that they can make it watchable enough for me.
  16. Yay for Donny winning America's favorite!
  17. I'm anxious for the new season to start. Grey's has always been a favorite of mine. I know that I will miss Cristina, as I have missed the other characters who have left or been killed off, but there are still characters to root for, especially Meredith and Alex.
  18. I am a fan of the show, but only because it's cheesey fun. I do not mourn any of the dead characters. In fact, I was glad to see Rebecca get knocked off. She has irritated me from the start. Has it been renewed? I'll be back next season. It's one of those shows that's a dumb-fun watch.
  19. As usual, I'm behind in my dvr viewings, so I just finished watched the finale. I hope that it is just the season finale and not the series finale. Even though it has its soap opera moments, it is still an entertaining show, with interesting characters. I always saw Lee Anne as the poor victim with bad judgement, so I was pleasantly surprised and entertained to find out that she was no victim, but was in fact a huge manipulator. I would like to see where the story goes from here.
  20. I'm glad that Tina Majorino did change her hairstyle. I agree that it was distracting. I guess we'll never know if she was asked to change it or if she decided on her own that it looked sort of ridiculous. I wondered why Martin didn't pick up some of the automatic rifles that belonged to the men he killed. He could have used that extra fire power.
  21. I didn't know when this show was on in my area, but happened upon it today while channel surfing. I know that I didn't give it a fair chance at all, but I turned it off after about 5 minutes. I found the 3 judge panel to be unnecessary and irritating.
  22. I'm surprised that Eleanor didn't search Charlotte's purse or clothing to make sure she didn't have a phone with her, before Charlotte went upstairs to use the bathroom. Even if Eleanor thought that Charlotte was going along with the plans and wouldn't be likely to cause trouble or alert the authorities, that was a careless oversight on her part.
  23. I finally got a chance to watch the season finale today, and I enjoyed it. Yes, there were predictable moments, such as the Captain's wife dying, and some implausible happenings, such as letting that cop get command of the ship, but probably 99% of the shows that I watch have predictable, implausible storylines. Why should this one be any different? I wouldn't call The Last Ship great, and has its faults like most other shows, but it engaged and entertained me during its run. I look forward to season two.
  24. I forwarded through a lot of this. I don't want to see guys moving mattresses or other guys complaining about those that aren't moving mattresses, or the excursions that the women went on. I also forward through a lot of the yelling, both from Ramsey and the contestants yelling at each other. I want to see what kind of cooking abilities these people have, and it's gotten very tiresome watching the rest of the crap. I could never watch this show live.
