  1. Bethenny is 50 going on 15. No one is trying so desperately to snatch Paul up that she has to sit on him to claim him. "This is MINE!" She seems to have confused everyone else with the incestuous RHONY women. We're not all out here dating the same 6 guys. Beyond the fact that Bethenny has fairly terrible taste in men, there's a global pandemic out there. Most people aren't trying to get too close to anyone they don't know, especially if they can't confirm if the person is vaxxed.
  2. Seriously! Heather is fucking house trained. She'd be embarrassed if she shit the floor or the bed unlike some of these other women.
  3. This is really deserving of an old-timey newspaper headline, something like "Shah-shank, clankity clank!"
  4. Jen was allegedly traveling for the cast trip to Vail when Sharrieff called her to tell her to come back because the FBI was at the house to arrest her.
  5. I know people will want to jump to the conclusion that Kathy and Kyle torpedoed the book, but there's already been a lot suggesting that Kim is too difficult to work with in order to publish and sell the book. She was sued by her ghostwriter for her unpaid fees. Writers have to pay for their fact checkers and this book NEEDS fact-checking. After that, they'd want to have Kim do press and maybe send Kim on a book tour. She might be doing better these days, but I'd be wary about sending her on a book tour. It's also possible that the publisher wanted more gossip about Big Kathy, Paris, Kathy Hilton, and/or the Davis family than Kim's manuscript delivered. Gossip about Paris and Kathy Hilton is key because both were likely a significant reason Kim got an advance as large as she did. Heck, the publisher might have wanted Kim to confirm or refute some of the more salacious House of Hilton stories and Kim refused. All of the sisters seem to acknowledge that Big Kathy did some not acceptable things, but NEVER want to speak ill of her. It's telling that the one thing Rinna did that got Kathy to publicly chastise her was when Rinna and Eden were wondering if Kim's susceptibility to addiction came from Big Kathy's alcohol issues. Yeah, it's entirely possible that Kathy, Paris, or Kyle killed the book, but that's also telling how limited the expectations for the book actually were. Stassi's book shipped 100K hardcover copies. At a list price of $27, that's $2.7 million. Did Stassi get an advance? I don't know, but it probably wasn't $300K like Kim got. I've read that publishers can take about 50% of the sales. If Kim's book was projected to sell fewer copies than 100K, then it's pretty easy to pay the publisher to stop the book because it wasn't going to make all that much. However, Lauren Weisberger, who wrote The Devil Wears Prada, got a $250K advance. It sold 13 million copies. If the publisher thought Kim's book would sell a million copies at $25/book, then it's a lot less likely that Kathy, Kyle, or Paris could part with $10 -$12.5 million to pay the publisher to drop the book. Additionally, Harper Collins is a publicly traded company. How were they going to account for a new weird infusion of cash? If anyone pulled strings, it was the Rothschilds. However, it's also likely that with Kim's erratic behavior and revision of sales estimates that they realized it wasn't worth pursuing or worth suing Kim to get their money back.
  6. I can 100% believe that Heather got herself into some condescending faux pas meaning to be benevolent. However, Leah is a toxic sludge pile island composed of plastic, fatberg, and heavy metals actually poisoning everything around her so I'm always going to be skeptical of anything coming from her and never want to side with her. I'll wait and see.
  7. It is like the beyond basic bullshit that I'd expect out of a 26 year old posting on Instagram: "I'm loving Starbucks new oatmilk unicorn frappuccino" with a shot of her be-ringed hand holding the frappuccino. B Real? Real basic.
  8. Doubtful that she has a case because they typically craft those entertainment contracts in such a way that they can boot someone for all sorts of non-fault reasons too. They've got to give themselves room to retool on the fly if something happens: someone dies, Q scores plummet, they add a new host who gels with everyone except for 1 person, they need to change formats or better target their audience, they get a cohost who the network would actually jump through hoops for (Amy Schumer, Kim Kardashian, Meghan Markle, Chelsea Handler, Katie Couric, Tiffany Trump) for a price they can't ignore, or there's some sort of big news/world event that would preempt the show for at least 6 months (OJ Simpson trial). In general, the US is an at-will employment country, which generally means they can fire people for almost anything except for things the law says are never firing offenses. Even if Sharon grumbles like she's gonna sue, they'll throw some settlement money at her and make her sign an NDA. It's what NBC and America's Got Talent did with Gabrielle Union and she actually had a legitimate cause of action.
  9. It's too bad Sara is gone because the best and most meta way to handle Sharon's departure would be how revival Roseanne/The Conners ignored season 9 of Roseanne, dealing with the second Becky, and what to do about Roseanne's absence in The Conners.
  10. I think about how different the conversation is about Bethenny now as compared to when she left after season 11. Back then, people were definitely skeptical of her statement that she wanted to work on projects that uplifted women, but now people are openly contemptuous of most things out of her mouth. She's bungled her post-Housewives period in a fairly spectacular fashion: she spent all of season 12 subtweeting RHONY, which NEVER made her seem like she was too good for or beyond the show her HBO Max project, the Big Shot with Bethenny, sounds like a less professional version of The Apprentice and it certainly doesn't help that Covid killed that show's momentum she's spent a decent portion of the last couple of months, when Black Lives Matter had already become a rallying cry, being an undermining nitpicking scold to women of color she revealed that she and Jason were still married, which only invited people to dig deeper into that disastebacle and figure out what was taking so long--it was her she just can't keep things to herself; everything has to play out in front of an audience whether it be other Housewives, in front of paparazzi, on television, or on social media. It's the reason people are cracking on her gargantuan ring and saying Paul looks like Jason; she's made it imperative that we know all of this shit. Who is Luann fucking right now? I don't know because she generally keeps her shit fairly low key. I love how Bethenny had a big post about scaling back her social media from 20 posts a day to 6 or 7. If it ain't her charity work, very little of what she posted merited a damn post let alone multiples.
  11. There's a huge difference between Sheryl defending George Lopez and Sharon defending Piers. George Lopez was in the middle of a comedy show telling a(n unfunny) joke about his racist grandmother with dementia when a woman in the audience stood up and gave him a double middle finger. The woman was Black. He clapped back at her and had her thrown out of the comedy club. I don't believe he used any racist language against her. There is a looooong history of comedians coming for and viciously criticizing their hecklers and people who disrupt their comedy shows. George's incident can be seen as part of that history. Whether George's clapback was unduly harsh because his heckler was Black and a woman and whether he should be even telling that joke because it's really unfunny is another story and may deserve some examination. But to call Sheryl a hypocrite simply for saying George Lopez was not a racist for coming for the woman who disrupted his show is ridiculous. In contrast, Piers had an enjoyable meeting with Meghan Markle. She refused further communication with him, but she also never disparaged him either. Piers actually continued to sing Meghan's praises for about a year after they had drinks. Piers flipped around the time Harry and Meghan got engaged. Since then he's had a big incel hard-on for Meghan. He's knocked and disparaged her at every opportunity. Meghan has never reciprocated or retaliated. On the face of things, it looks like Piers took issue with Meghan because she's a woman or Black or both who wanted nothing to do with him. His reaction was far from professional. He never articulated any real reason for his 180. If Meghan was his bitch eating crackers, he should have said that and owned that his dislike was petty and irrational. But he didn't. He tried to act like it was based on something objective and provable. People suggested that his issues were caused by racism, misogyny, and sexual jealousy; they have explained why a simple surface level reading of Piers' animosity isn't sufficient. Piers has never been able to articulate why it isn't. Sharon has never been able to articulate why it isn't. It really is apples and spaceships because neither Piers nor Sharon have ever been able to raise a cogent argument about his dislike of Meghan. And bringing up Sheryl's defense of George Lopez is the kind of specious "See! She did it too!!!" argument that I've come to expect of Sharon and Piers. It's a bullshit argument that ignores the subtleties of life, society, and context and only deals in absolutes and concrete thinking.
  12. The big issue is that when Tinsley started dating Topper at 14 or 15, the Mercers were clearly pushing Tinsley to lock that shit down. I suspect a large part of her life was devoted to achieving her MRS. Emotionally she got stuck and stagnated. Even after she and Topper separated, Tinsley didn't reset to a woman in her 30s; she reset to her teens. Since then, she's been slowly progressing. Emotionally she's still in her 20s. It's how she managed to miss every warning sign with Scott.
  13. No! There's a decent amount about Real Housewives and some celebrities, but a TON about Andy feeling fat and old, who he wants to bang (no one over 25), and just being typically Andy unprofessional at on the job. I feel like some bloggers need to give his books "The House of Hilton" treatment, meaning a deep detailed dive into the Real Housewives relevant portions to archive and reference for later use because as a whole the books are sort of a piffle and underwhelming. I believe one of his earlier books talks about how Teresa and Joe were the last to sign their contract on RHONJ and that they had a ton of questions about what Bravo could turn over to law enforcement or the IRS and whether Bravo had to mandatorily report things without a warrant, court order, or subpoena. This is why I always find it funny when Teresa and Joe insist that someone turned them in when it was obviously apparent to EVERYONE that those 2 were in some shady shit and 10 seconds away from legal and financial ruin.
  14. Bethenny was being Bethenny, business maven, and she didn't want to listen to anything Fredrik had to say about real estate. She thought she always knew better. He told her not to spend as much money as she did on her wrong side of the highway Hamptons rental house. She ignored him and lost money on the place. There were times he wanted budgets to be smaller. She said he didn't know what he was doing. There were times where he thought budgets should be bigger and she'd derisively joke that he was scamming her. It wasn't a pleasant show to watch. As they were doing press for the show, Fredrik said he'd never work with Bethenny in that capacity ever again. The ratings were decent enough that they might have gotten a second season, but he refused to do it. As unpleasant as it was to watch, it must have been a nightmare to film.
  15. Bethenny and Carole. During the reunion, Bethenny and Carole briefly talk about Cassandra Grey and Bethenny pushing for an invitation. Bethenny doesn't deny this. This is the tip off. When you factor in some hard dates when key events (Brad Grey's death and the disaster relief work) happened, you can go through their social media and figure out the timeline (when things like Carole traveling with Tinsley and when Bethenny was filming Bethenny & Fredrik) and realize that Bethenny's version of events makes little sense. About Bethenny wanting her own show, Andy wrote that in his Andy Cohen Diaries book. He said she wanted her own show and production deal. Andy had to talk her into returning to RHONY for season 7. The rift in Bethenny and Fredrik's friendship was known because Fredrik talked about it during press for the show. He said he'd never work with her again. You could see their friendship falling apart on the show. All of the evidence refuting Bethenny's version of events was really obvious and kind of in plain sight. I have a post somewhere where I go through the timeline.
  16. Apparently there is video of Brandi's husband kissing another woman at a nightclub in 2018 or 2019.
  17. Sharon got an angry 20 minute segment instead of 2 brief questions because she flipped out. Had she been able to calmly answer those questions, the entire segment would have lasted 5 minutes. It turned into something long and acrimonious because of Sharon. Someone needs to explain to Sharon that women can be misogynists, queer people can be homophobic and transphobic, Jews can be antisemites and racists, and generally people from marginalized groups can be bigots. She's a dumb entitled ass. I see she's hired Howard Bragman as her new publicist. He does a ton of crisis PR. That's a clear sign that she's actually in trouble. People turn to him as a last resort. Those slurs legitimately sound like things Sharon would say.
  18. Some folks have figured out the various bébés names based on the Instagram names that have been taken. They figured out that Lala was naming her daughter Ocean. They are predicting Summer Marie Honey for Scheana's daughter and Cruz Cauchi for Jax and Brittany's son.
  19. That is a screen shot of my reddit post in that article. Is this what passes for sourcing? FFS! Is it true? Probably. Carole was slyly retweeting people who tweeted my post.
  20. Have you tried vaxxmax? It updates every 5 minutes and shows you places with open appointments. Most places seem to also open up a block of appointments around midnight every day. You may also want to check Reddit. People have created special covid subreddits for different cities. That has been invaluable for me helping my elderly parents and relatives to get appointments for vaccinations. When people notice that places have a whole block of appointments open, they tend to post pretty quickly to let the members of the subreddit know. https://www.vaxxmax.com/ Best of luck!
  21. Do you watch The Boys on Amazon? There was a great line this season about this very issue. There's a conversation between Edgar, who is Black, and Billy Butcher, who is white, about a very powerful, influential and racist white female character. “I can’t lash out like some raging entitled maniac,” Edgar says. “That is a white man's luxury.” “So, it’s just business then, eh?” Billy asks. “When, Mr. Butcher, in history has it ever been about anything different?” Sheryl doesn't have luxury or leverage to be able to truly act on her feelings. She was doing what she felt she could in the role that she has.
  22. I was gonna argue with you on that until I thought about the talk show pop culture moments of the last decade or so. Adrienne Bailon not knowing how to tell time? The Real. Sherri Shepherd not knowing that the earth is round? The View. Joy and Whoopi walking out of an interview with Bill O'Reilly? The View. Whoopi saying about Cara Delevigne "She's not famous. I'm famous"? Also the View. All of the shit Wendy Williams gets up to. Yeah, none of them involved The Talk. The most noteworthy thing to happen on this show was watching to see how long Julie Chen lasted after Les' ouster from CBS. Even if I believe Sharon had a right to feel blindsided (I DO NOT!), her crazy excuses still fall flat. She KNEW her friend was in the news for saying something controversial. Sharon CHOSE to not educate herself about the matter. Sharon CHOSE to take a public stance defending her friend. And now, Sharon has the temerity to be indignant about the show asking her about her public stance on the issue. They didn't ask her about some privately held belief that she'd never shared. They asked Sharon about something she'd freely shared with the whole world. If she didn't want to be questioned on she thinks Piers Morgan isn't a bigot, then maybe she should have kept her mouth shut. Furthermore, Sharon is such an insufferable imperious twit that she couldn't even pick up on what CBS was hoping to accomplish with the question. The question was "What would you say to people who may feel that while you're standing by your friend, it appears you gave validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist, even if you don't agree?" CBS was trying to use the segment to make sure that the vitriol towards Piers didn't blow back on the show. They wanted Sharon to say something like she doesn't agree with Piers, but she supports him as a long time friend who is going through a lot professionally even if she doesn't agree with his stance and opinions." Instead, Sharon whiffed it completely.
  23. Used him for what? They were social media friends. He reached out to her because he was a fan of Suits. They began a correspondence. Meghan didn't ask him to promote Suits. Piers and Meghan met once in real life for 90 minutes. She then left to meet Harry, who she met through her own friends and not Piers Morgan. Meghan stopped communicating with Piers after their 90 minute meeting for drinks. After it became known that Harry and Meghan were seeing each other, Piers was still supportive of Meghan. However around the time Harry and Meghan got engaged, Piers started flipping out and loudly denigrating Meghan. Many believe that Piers tried to hit Meghan up for exclusive access to interviews with the royal family and Meghan said no and that's a large part of why he turned uglier. Meghan wasn't sexually intetested in Piers. She didn't meet Harry through Piers. She didn't ask Piers to promote her television show. At most, he might have paid for her drinks during that meeting. If she gave him £100, would he shut up and go away because she owes him less than nothing. She owes him dust. She didn't use him for anything and he gave her nothing of value. Piers' response was out of hand. Sharon's behavior was also completely out of line. She couldn't be arsed to listen and attempt to have a rational conversation about the matter. She got defensive, ugly, and unprofessional. What's with all of the profanity, when she should have known better? She's been doing the show long enough. She was unprofessional, unreasonable, and absolutely unbelievable. Any scintilla of positive feeling I had for the woman evaporated after that display. She was acting no better than a Real Housewife with an IV drip of booze and a long list of grudges and grievances to air. Really, the point everyone should have made is that when Sharon decided to tweet that she supported Piers and that nothing he'd done was racist, she needed to be able to argue that point. The people who tweeted and wrote pieces about their issues with Piers have already written extensively about the matter. It's not Sheryl and Elaine's job to educate Sharon on the matter, especially when Sharon decided to step out in public to declare a position about a matter she allegedly knew nothing about. How is she going to declare on Twitter "This is 100% not true and I support my friend" and then claim she doesn't know what the matter really is. Either she's a loud-mouthed moron who spoke without knowing the facts or she agrees with Piers and holds some bigoted views herself. Maybe it's a bit of both.
