  1. Oh...if only they'd cook from home again!!
  2. Yup... I've just about given up trying to create a creamy Pink Drink wannabee. I'll have to try the pink drink at "Duncan" (would this be Dunkin' Donuts?)
  3. If I were a homeowner on this show and was told to add to the drama by acting like a jerk, I'd refuse. IMO, some of these people aren't acting...they really are obnoxious. Quite a few of the homeowners are truly grateful for the help, thank goodness. But, yeah...why throw a hissy fit when Hilary's crew find potentially dangerous things happening in your house.
  4. She sure loves that guy--& understandably so. He fully supported her when she left a White House position to take a chance on owning/managing the Barefoot Contessa gourmet shop out in the Hamptons. And I bet he was a wonderful supporter whenever she had any doubts along the way. Guys like Jefffrey are hard to find.
  5. I wonder if she likes being the only one now not in the studio, out there in the elements, braving the snow, wind, etc....just being different. I wish FN would get replacements for these folks.
  6. When I lived in Raleigh, I loved it when little southern kids called me Miss Ann. A few native NC associates called me that once in a while. Coming from NYS, I found it kinda sweet and old fashioned (but my boss never called me anything but my first name, thank goodness!)
  7. In 1984 I certainly realized that T/D were the real deal in gold medalists, thanks to that program. But there was something about him that creeped me out and I think it was him frequently grabbing Jane by the back of her neck & maneuvering her on the ice. Every time he did that (and he did it in just about every program I remember seeing), I cringed.
  8. Ina never wears her wedding rings. Actually, she never wears any jewelry on her show. So maybe Alex feels the same way about cooking with rings on her fingers.
  9. They were so creative while cooking in their own homes (except for Sunny and her grill).
  10. Oh...the A-frame where they had a competition renovating her mom's place and one next door.
  11. Sauted salmon in a bit of olive & sesame oils, and served with Peanut Sesame Noodles.
  12. Which was her favorite place to renovate? I missed the show.
  13. Women dream of world peace, a safe environment, and eliminating hunger. What do men dream of? Being stuck in an elevator with the Doublemint twins. “The worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of charades.” “The problem isn’t that obesity runs in your family. The problem is no one runs in your family.” I may not be that funny or athletic or good looking or smart or talented. I forgot where I was going with this. It’s weird being the same age as old people

Wha...??? Did they have an encounter? She's not my cup of tea, but if she put that treasonous, nogoodnik down...she's OK!!!!!!
  15. I had cataract surgery on my left eye several years ago. When I went down to the kitchen the next morning, I was stunned at how light the room was.
  16. Maybe we can look it up on copycat recipes. Right now I'm experimenting at creating a creamy pink beverage similar to Starbucks Pink Drink (but I want mine to be better than theirs!!)
  17. I too keep meaning to get to Lidl (how is Lidl pronounced: leedle or li--del?). The ads are so appealing. I thought it was connected/related to Aldi somehow.
  18. Pineapple & Shrimp Fried Rice (wanted to use up the rest of the grilled pineapple).

Sorry...I spoke too soon. She's back to head flippin' again.
  20. Ina's Sicilian grilled swordfish with arugula, grilled pineapple slices, and baked potato cheese "puffs"? (can't recall the name but Wegmans makes them).

Major announcement for those of us driven crazy by Nicholle's head flipping: she's got a slight hairstyle improvement!! Her hair style now sits farther away from the left side so she no longer has to "flip it" away. There used to be a poster at this forum who would give us updates at MSNBC. I wonder if that poster got the word to Nicholle. Hmmm. If so, thanks a million for passing on the word.
  22. Sweet Chili Chicken w/ fresh mint, scallions, & cilantro leaves. And pilaf.
  23. A glass of Chardonnay and Caesar Salad w/ grilled chicken at our little golf club restaurant (on the breezy porch, thank goodness) with my mystery book club. Haven't seen these people since the shutdown. We toasted our getting through such a challenging year.

I'm so sick of pageant hair and unprofessional attire--on certain female TV news people. When I think of the crap that women endured in the early days (heck...the 70's & 80's even), trying to make it in broadcasting news--Barbara Walters, Jessica Savage, etc., it really bothers me to see such casual clothes. We sure don't see the men wearing anything but suits & ties.
  25. Well, they hooked me (probably because I just started really watching this show last year when they were all at home with no one yelling...didn't realize until later on in the show that this was pre-pandemic days). Yeah...Jeff was in his glory with his eggplant sammies, not having to share the stage during his segments.
