I'm voting Alice as not Whook's daughter because it was her black rook that he carried with him, and she had his white knight, as if they were always the same colour, but at the end they played as opposite. I just realized one great thing about the wish realm: if the curse was never cast, Hook and Emma never went back in time, so in that world Snow Falls still exists in its original form. It's still a canon flashback! (Also, that means that Hook and Whook for sure don't have exactly the same past.)

Emma and Neal meet in 2001 according to the flashbacks. Henry was 18 when he left Storybrooke. So they are are either lying, horrendously bad at math, or both.

I was just about to reply but you worded it so much better. In order for it to make sense, SOME kind of time travel, not just different rates, has to have happened for it to be true that this is 2017/18. It fits the "don't make assumptions about the timeline" thing and they get to think they're so clever with the twist no one could possibly figure out based on what they write.

Great. Now I'm thinking the season ends and it's revealed that Henry et al travelled back in time during the "curse" and will end syncing back up just after Emma and Hook left at the end of this last episode. Or right after Henry left in the first episode, creating a paradox. That's why all the technology is 2017 and not the future. Cause that would likely be the year Henry left on his adventure, no?

Did it feel like to anyone else that the Henry/Regina side plot was a last minute insert to set up the end of the series as it had nothing to do with anything else that was happening? Also, all these meta jokes by Isaac have got to stop. First, we now know the way to get A&E under our thumbs is to call them washed up has-beens, and the beast "no one wants to see that", it's like they're just asking viewers to tune out more. AND I'm pretty sure Hamilton shouldn't be out yet in ouat world. If I'm being given generous, maybe 3 years have passes since the pilot sooooo 2014 at best.

I think they were in the vicinity of each other when everyone got sent back to the Enchanted Forest for a couple of hours. Archie was on Grumpy's shoulder in cricket former during those scenes.

I think it's part of the Pinocchio tale, so David just assumed. Or maybe Emma mentioned her conversation with August last episode to Hook offscreen. The real question is why would they assume Pinocchio was on the island during that time period. Have they always known he's that old?

I'm ignoring that ending for now... What I want to talk about is just how old is freaking August?! As old as Charming? Older? Is this why he always tries to sound wise beyond his years? Do I get to hold him MORE accountable for the whole Emma situation (all the times) now that we can add 20 years to his Age? Does he consider himself that old? I'm a little bit miffed at the whole situation as he was really the only character that was supposed to be a contemporary of Emma and now it's hard to think of him that way. And I generally dislike August, but this is how hard I'm pretending the episode ended 5 minutes early.

The Woodcutter wasn't an original. He's a twist on the character from Red Riding Hood. Snow mentioned that he's known for hunting down werewolves. Who's Dead Eye though? I can't remember. Do you mean Bad Tooth? (omg these names) But yay to Jack and Jill! It reminds me of the Good Morning Storybrooke extras with the Boy Who Cried Wolf and Goldilocks as randoms.

So, I guess the show is going with the whole, people weren't LITERALLY frozen inside the bubble during the curse, just didn't age. But then Liam 2.0 is older somehow... ARGH! This show, I swear. And I lolled at "Who are you?" "I am... no one." Because if Finding Nemo taught me anything, it's that Nemo means 'no one'.

Things I noticed on rewatch: The red bird (Iago) is actually in the opening scene (in a cage though) so maybe it was the Oracle's at some point. Or her prisoner. I swear I heard Charming say, "That was Emma and Hook. No sign of HYDE or his people." Like, pretty sure Hyde is in jail? Why would you expect to find signs of him?

Rewatching, I think the writers were trying to parallel Regina/Robin's first 'adventure': underground tunnel to a location shielded by Zelena. Kind of a bookend thing. Or am I giving the writers too much credit.

I just realized Henry took the 'dead' pen with him through the portal, back to the land of the living, without having to pay any price to 'resurrect' it.

Neal was able to open Rumple's secret magic cabinet and then use the magic crystal ball, is he born magical? No. So I'm sticking with no for Regina still too.
