  1. That was my thought too since I saw the news that Lance Lim was recurring... why bring in Katsumoto’s son unless they were going to put him in jeopardy? (Though if it gets us angry and vengeful Katsumoto, I will live with it - I started looking st Magnum because my Mentalist/Kimball Cho love was real and true, so we know Tim Kang can play it.)
  2. I remember back in the day being really uncomfortable looking at season two and how Tony and Kate appeared to me to be ganging up on McGee, all under the guise of “you’re the probie and we’re just hazing you.” I know we were supposed to think that it was funny but to me, having two more senior agents (and Kate might not have been NCIS for long but she had been a Secret Service Agent on the presidential detail, that’s not nothing) act like that on more than one occasion to the bumbling newbie that they were writing McGee as... it did not sit well with me. And still doesn’t; I have rarely watched season two on rerun.
  3. It was the season 14 opener. She told McGee about it when she came in and the latest probationary Agent (who lasted 6 days I think?) was handing in his notice.
  4. Pauley's Twitter this morning...
  5. For me, I thought the free dance in Sochi could have gone either way, depending on how each skated on the day and I have no issues with Meryl and Charlie winning that with how they skated. As for the short, what’s quoted above is pretty much how I remember feeling. I thought that Tessa and Scott should have won that portion and while I’d never hold myself up as an ice dance expert (I can barely recognise an edge!) there were several experts - the Eurosport commentators, IIRC, definitely Robin Cousins, Petri Kokko who invented the Finnstep!) all went on record as saying that Tessa and Scott should have been in first. The ubers then took that to mean that the fix was in and ran with that idea. Me, I disagree with the SD placement but not their final standings.
  6. This is in no way related to the time travel shenanigans previously being discussed but I just wanted to check/rant - Joe, when talking about his Blues Cruise, said he told Iris that they couldn't eat out for a month because he was saving for her and Barry's college tuition. (Which makes me wonder how much they ate out, but whatever). He then told her he had to do it because Junior Walker was playing. (This is what I want to check, if I heard it right.) Because I googled Junior Walker and while he did indeed sing "What Does It Take" he also died of cancer in 1995 - five years before Nora Allen died. So did I mishear things, or are the writers hacks?
  7. Ok, that would make sense to me... And then when Reyes came in, she did replace Frank but just had the title of Sheriff? I ask not only for curiosity but also because I'm trying to plot a post season two but no probably AU season three fic wherein Frank gets reinstated in some way, and I'm wondering would he outrank Reyes or she outrank him. Not having a notion how these things work, I figured someone here would give me some guidance?!
  8. Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this, but it's been bugging me for a while - Frank's title is Captain, but the man he replaced was Sheriff Corbin, while Frank was, in turn, replaced by Sheriff Reyes. I have no clue how police stations/ranks work in the USA, so why the change in title? Is there any "real" difference or are they just different names for the same thing?
  9. Pardon my ignorance and apologies if this is veering off topic, but I've seen reference in previous posts about Iris being from the future, and I don't get it, which means it's probably some comic reference I'm not aware of... Would anyone care to explain it please? (I have googled but there are so. many. versions!) TIA!
