  1. Gotta say, up till now I've had some trouble embracing "Outlaw Country" as Cherlene's go-to phrase. Something about it felt forced to me, but in this episode it really started working for me. OUTLAW COUNTRY!!!
  2. I just cannot get behind this Baby Boss sketch. The rest of this episode was pretty great.
  3. Best episode in a while. I read the AV Club review of this (http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/modern-family-las-vegas-202722), and I agree with it in a couple of ways: It had a very satisfying build up to a sort of crazy conclusion, in much the way that early episodes did, and by focusing on just the adult characters they were really able to narrow the focus of the stories. It makes you realize that this is really a show that just has too many characters to be consistently good. It's hard to believe that this debuted in the same season as Archer.

    Bastion

Well there's this one part where there are the Gasfellas that throw you up in the air, but every time I press "space" to land safely, it makes me land in a hole in the ground and I fall through and lose health, and by the time I recover it throws me up again. So, kinda stuck :/ this isn't the first time the game has gotten stuck with a sort of unplayable bit like that for me.

    Bastion

Anyone played Bastion? It seems pretty cool but I keep on getting frustrated at certain parts that are just not well designed.
  7. I actually don't mind Paige, but maybe that's because my best point of comparison is Dana Brody. And well... Paige may be a problematic character, but she's no Dana Brody.
  8. The airplane wedding was *super* cute though.
  9. Oh great... a sequel episode. Well, we'll see if this is any good... But I'm skeptical. Edit: My response to this episode is a resounding 'meh'.
  10. Yup... Implying your character is a genius is an interesting choice, we'll see where they go with it. Assuming that this show keeps on going for another few years, it's going to be difficult for them to keep Alex on the show, right? They'll have no choice but to send her off to an Ivy League school or something...
  11. I don't know why, but the moment when Haley realized that Andy was the same as Phil really worked for me.
  12. I got a strong Seth Meyers vibe off of Colin Jost during Weekend Update...
  13. My prediction: Ellen Degeneres (Kate McKinnon), high on the success of her Oscars Selfie moment, tries to come up with other world records that she can break on air.
  14. Pretty good episode.. One of the more successful high-concept episodes they've done recently.
  15. Oh I mean the show was never exactly expertly done as far as chronology, but I don't think that was ever something that the show was really concerned with, which is why this episode is so problematic.
  16. In a similar note, I'd also like to nominate the season 2 episode of The Shield, "Co-Pilot". On its own merits, it's not a horrendously awful episode of The Shield, although it is admittedly subpar by the excellent standards of that show. However, when viewed in the context of its attempted rewriting of the history of the show, it falls significantly. In concept it's a fun idea - we go back to the creation of the Strike Team, etc. However, one major problem with the episode is its placement in the middle of a major Season 2 story arc, causing it to really end up releasing a lot of built up tension in an unsatisfactory way. The far bigger problem, however, is the many ways in which it totally breaks the chronology of the show. In the original pilot of the show, the Strike Team has seemingly been in existence for a while, it's Julien's first day, and Acevada is a newcomer to the Barn, the new head who wants to clean up shop. Co-Pilot rewrites the history by showing us that the Strike Team was only recently formed, and Acevada was in fact the guy who helped start the Barn to begin with. Acevada let Vic head up the Strike Team, and yet later in the episode is already suspicious of Vic and trying to take him down. Additionally, Co-Pilot shows Julien already hanging out in The Barn, being a part of the team, when we established in the Pilot that he was a new guy. It's an episode that at best is a mediocre, unsatisfying distraction from a pretty good storyline, and at worst is a disastrous attempt to meddle with the chronology of a great show. For that, I believe that "Co-Pilot" is Nonac worthy.
  17. I think opinions vary on where Six Feet Under's place in TV history is - is it a *great* show? A *very good* show? A *merely above average* one? Regardless of where you stand on the show as a whole, I think those who have seen the show would generally agree that one of the most terribad episodes of the show is the season 4 episode, "That's My Dog", in which David Fisher is memorably abducted by a hitchhiker. There are probably individual parts of the episode that aren't horrible, but I think generally speaking, its overall effect on the arc of the show was pretty memorably awful. For that reason, I believe that "That's My Dog" is a worthy Nonac submission.
  18. Never fear, fellow Danger Zone members - we'll get at least another 26 episodes of our beloved show! No word yet on whether or not they will be Archer Vice or Archer Classic. But either way, I can't complain about a sixth and seventh season.
