  1. I think Thor is going to be well and truly pissed at them for not getting along. I was always half-way hoping that Civil War was going to be settled by Thor arriving and settling it for them. I wonder how much frame of reference Thor would have for their issues. Unlike Earth, my impression is that Asguard isn't divided into separate countries. Their all just Asguardians. Same with the other planets. I'm thinking Thor's reaction will be along the lines of 'you're all human, how can you not work together to defend your planet. Thanos isn't going to care about your internal issues!' Also along those lines I have to think that Gamora and Nebula are going to be be pivotal to Infinity Wars, as they were raised by Thanos anare the best source of intel on him.
  2. Yeah I read this a one character to each show. And Granger does sadly need to be replaced. I don't think we're losing anyone. @Samantha84 do know if anyone needs to re-up their contract? You usually have the info :-)
  3. They really tend to make every season finale feel like a wrap up. I don't think they've ever ended on any sort of a cliffhanger note.
  4. Yup. I'm guessing Thor will be the initial bridge between the Guardians and yhe Avengers. Asguard probably knows all about the events of Vol 1 and Vol 2. Do we think Ego put one of those plant things on Asguard?
  5. I was watching Age of Ultron last night and something occurred to me. At the very end Thor makes reference to multiple Infinity Stones having been found and causing trouble in the last few years. Does that mean Thor and thereby Asguard at least are aware of the events of Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1? If they are, it's probably going to make introductions a bit easier when Infinity Wars actually rolls around next year.
  6. Most daycares charge for your "place" whether the baby is there or not. And children are *extremely* routine-oriented. It might have been more disruptive to keep baby home.
  7. Premier dates are already being announced. Our show returns on October 1st. http://www.tvguide.com/news/cbs-fall-2017-premiere-dates-bull-swat-big-bang-theory/
  8. I was recently watching one of those episodes and it definitely caught me off guard to see her, both with no habit and very non MJ mannerisms!
  9. For what it's worth, it was clear that Chummy was only working part time. There were references to her being ask to cover additional shifts and some scenes showing that she was having to juggle at home as a result. As far as Shelagh goes, we only see her in the maternity home/doctor's office and as the receptionist/record keeper at the ante-natal clinic (which only takes place at most twice a week for certain hours). She's not out on the district rounds or taking 'woman in labor calls' at all hours from Nonnatus. Much easier to fit her childcare around and as Angela was adopted, there was no breastfeeding to have to be considered. Plus both Chummy and Shelagh's children were around 6-8 months old when they returned work, not tiny newborns. Since Angela's dad own the doctor's practice I can't imagine there was much pushback about her being brought in from time to time when the childcare fell through. And who would even notice another child in the ante-natal clinic anyway! On the other hand, Barbara will have responsibilities as a vicar's wife and while she might be able to deal with working before children show up, she'll probably have a much harder time being a working wife and mother. I would think a baby on scene for the Herewoods would be the end of Barbara's working days for quite some time.
  10. They named their ddaughter Angela Julienne
  11. I figured since Sr. J was the midwife and Patrick is a doctor, she gave him a pass on being in the room. Had Shelagh been in a hospital Dr. T probably wouldn't have been allowed in.
  12. Boooooo! I was looking forward to having Patsy back!
  13. Having seen the trailer that is showing with Guardians, I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. And not just because we finally have a Peter that *looks* like a teenager but for Tony Stark's role. He is trying so hard to keep Peter on the right path, to deal with the fact that while he has these powers he can't save the world yet and might truly get killed trying. At least the way the trailer cut it, it's an oddly parental role that Tony is very awkward with yet acknowledges he must take on. Peter does need guidance and limits, if only because while he *wants* to do good in the world and use his powers to help, he doesn't know yet how to do that safely and with an eye towards the long-range consequences. Those are lessons Tony learned the very hard way and I'm delight seeing him try to teach the next generation to learn from his mistakes.
  14. Just saw this for the second time the other night and what really stood out to me what how quickly the group bonded as a family. After all, this film only takes place a couple of months after Vol. 1 when they didn't know each other that well. And then it really hit me, how taking care of Baby Groot probably helped cement that bond. However it happened you now have Peter, Rocket, Gamora and Drax raising a child together. And Groot is not a child you can take your eyes of off of very often either, given his tendency to wander right into trouble. So they all have to be involved and work together and it shows.
  15. Yeah she was seen with her kids in her first appearance.
  16. Since Padget is back on Criminal Minds she probably won't be here again. But I did think it was a sweet episode.
  17. The original book had Jennifer Worth referencing that gorgeous fabric could be bought for very cheap and that having clothing made was significantly less expensive than off the rack.
  18. Speaking of CBS crime fighters, I adore Kensi Blye on NCIS:Los Angeles.
  19. Yeah, Rocket is only amusing on screen. Wouldn't want to deal with him up close in real-life. For something that could have so easily fallen into the 'make it cute for marketing category' (ala ewoks), Baby Groot turned out surprising compelling.
  20. I don't think Jada is coming back. She hates the US for one thing and last time we saw her she was engaged to be married. I'd be very surprised if we ever see Sam dating.
  21. Good points @HurricaneVal Did anyone else pick up on Sam telling Sabatino that he (Sam) is the only who is expendable. Even at his worst, knowing he might be headed towards a painful death, Sam won't take chances with the lives of the people around him. Or he's just suicidal. It's hard to read the motive.
  22. And Hetty usually deserves it!
  23. Since Nell has always dressed appropriately in the field before, I'm chalking this up to just *how urgent* this was that she didn't change. Such a great yet heart rending episode.
