Would that still be illegal or is it a spousal privilege kind of thing?  Btw, I forgot, are they getting married?  Where does that stand?

It is still illegal whether or not Georgie and Mandy are married. However, spousal privilege would mean that neither one can testify against the other about it. At least that’s my understanding as a proud graduate of Hudson University law school

I was relieved they had Christopher think people would leave because of his mom, and not because of his disability.

    Spoiler

I think they’ve done a really good job with the Christopher character of not making his CP central part of his character. Yes, he will deal with cerebral palsy his entire life, but almost every plotline we have related to him do with it.

  3. Well, we know Station 19 is in their last season. What if they’re gonna have a character or two move to Los Angeles and get hired at the 118?

    2) Been forced to sleep in the garage or couch because their brother’s bitchy baby mamma refuses to get out of your room

She *is* rather bitchy, isn’t she?

And maybe I sound like a bitch too but Mandy is 30 years old and college educated. She’s not a teenager by any stretch of the imagination. If I was her, I would be deeply embarrassed that I’m still unemployed and essentially living off the grace of my in-laws. Like, I get that Cece is still young but aside from that one job interview there has been no discussion of Mandy getting back to work or finding her own housing for her, the baby and Georgie. Mary was able to find full-time employment after having not worked for nearly 20 years and without any educational qualifications beyond high school. Surely it can’t be that hard for Mandy to at least find something part time. Alternate housing should’ve been figured out long before Sheldon and Mary got back from Germany. They had all summer to deal with it.

If I was Mandy‘s parents, I’d be horrified that my kid was behaving this way. She had to be asked to do chores? It didn’t occur to her to jump in and to take on the bulk of it instead of the 13-year-old?

But what's with the overwrought, long smarmy reading of the nominees? The show will go into Monday. And why is everyone calling everyone "my friend"? Is this MSNBC?

The presenters all had personal/professional connections to the nominee they spoke about.

I would hope they have a better solution than a 13-year-old child sleeping in the garage (unless he's going to move into the dorm, though I don't think him having a roommate there is a great situation, either).

I understand this is Texas circa 1993, so CPS would probably not care that much but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to send the 13-year-old to live in the garage. Now that Mary and Sheldon are home, Georgie and Mandy need to figure out their housing. Mary and George are first and foremost responsible for housing Sheldon and Missy. Georgie and Mandy are now adults and responsible for housing themselves and their child.

Bel Powley is fantastic. This became a different show when she was on screen. I thought they were going to hint that she's a codebreaker at Bletchley Park, but now they're hinting that she's a Nazi spy? Did I read the teaser right?

I think they were hinting she’s SOE. A lot of female intelligence operatives were infiltrated into France before D-Day. More than a few ended up in concentration camps.

Making a comment about one of the Darden boys sounding drunk?  They're not even in college, they're still in high school.  Wildly inappropriate suggestion for the show because it was totally unnecessary.

The drunk Darden kid was the older one, who is now college age. Still too young to legally drink though. Hermann is risking his liquor license if Trudy notices 😁

The George - Mary letter exchanges were lovely. After hearing the genuine love expressed in Mary's last letter, though, had a sudden moment of panic when the phone rang in her apartment. "Oh no! Not now!" I thought.

Oh my god, I thought the same thing!

I keep thinking that losing George isn't going to be saved for the finale, simply because it's such a *huge* gut punch that they'll want an episode or two to deal with the impact. And I can't imagine they'll want to wrap the series on such a sad storyline.

Severide is already primed to captain OFI or move on full-time to that task force if necessary. I would be a little surprised if Stella decided she wanted kids. (I was always bummed that Severide and Shay never had that kid together.)

I think Severide as a dad would have been very interesting to watch over the years, especially since they've made a point of how good he is with just about every kid we see him encounter. However making him a single dad (assuming the change of story didn't effect Lauren's departure in Season 2) would have *drastically* changed the character.

She's in the front row during the ceremony with Herrmann.

I don't know why, but I'm rewatching.  There are continuity issues - sometimes Julia is on Stella's lap and sometimes she isn't.  Where she is when she's not?  Can't tell.

There was probably a quiet game of “pass the baby” going on. We’ve had to do that a few times at some family gatherings. Keeps the baby quiet and engaged. Also the amount of time the baby can be in front of the camera is pretty limited.

This is my favorite episode of S11. It’s a compelling hour with emotional ending. 💙

Jason Beghe finally has something interesting to work with and he nonchalantly carries this episode. The showrunner and writers suddenly remember that Hank Voight is Chicago PD. 🙄

Noah’s 👁👁 being stapled open are truly disturbing. Does the perp do that to force him watching heterosexual porn as part of “cleansing” ritual? I hope his parents have nothing to do with what happened to him because that’ll be truly sickening.

I’m absolutely figuring it was the parents or somebody in the church who hired the offender to “convert” Noah back to heterosexuality.

and I’m calling it now. Kelly wants a baby. The way he was looking at Stella holding the baby (who I spent most of the episode trying to identify)…wonder if Stella wants kids?

I thought the same thing too. They both mentioned in passing before about wanting kids but not any real deep conversations about it.

And I’m editing because I just realized that if Stella does get pregnant, she won’t be able to work for at least a year. She cannot actively be a firefighter while she’s pregnant and then of course there’s a postpartum period. So that opens up the possibility for Mouch to take temporary command of truck, 51 and opens a spot on it for Kylie. this also allows for them to continue having cast members miss random episodes for budgetary reasons. Solves the “how can Mouch get a promotion“ along with “where do we find space for Kylie“ problems.

Budget cuts?  If everyone wanted her to stay, they could have just broken them up again. I don't know for sure, but my guess is that it was her choice.

That’s what I think too. She’s been doing the role for a long time and the Chicago weather can be tough to shoot in. And didn’t she have a baby a couple of years ago? She might have been ready for easier hours.
