I had forgotten that Batwoman has already been renewed for season three. As we move to the "finish line" of season three it seems like they are starting to jettision things from season one that were more or less "kate kane centric". The Crows are gone. Feels like Dougray Scott won't be around for season three. Sophie has quit the Crows and has no real story line anymore so it's easy to see her decide to leave for a new city and new start. As for this episode I was truly surprised by the deaht of Ocean. I have been thoroughly enjoyin the Alice redemption arc and foolishly thought she would be able to "have it all": Love with Ocean, Forgive her father and forge a relationship there, find Kate and strengthen that bond due to both have been brainwashed. I enjoyed watching Luke take a closer step toward his Batwing destiny. Though having John Diggle nudge him in that direction did seem out of nowhere. I hope the other "arrowverse" shows follow up on John's medical issues. Mary is truly become a star in her own right. Who else would carry a tranquilizer syringe in their boot? My hopes for season three are that Alice, Kate, and Mary will begin to forge a stronger sister bond. I can see Ryan and Luke out in the fieldas hero partners Batwoman and Batwing. Kate mans the batcave along side Mary who splits time between bat duty and her clinic. Alice continues her redemption arc and slowly transitions into "hero" Red Alice. Kate transitions on the "Oracle/Overwatch" of the series. I suspect Tavaroff will become one the villians for season three as well. I will give the creative team behind Batwoman a nod because I think they've been doing a great job of pushing past the initial/original plans for the series after Ruby Rose left and pivoting the series to focus on new hero. While it has been a bit of bumpy ride at first they seem to be finding their stride and forging ahead.

I do enjoy the camp of this show and especially enjoy the episodes that highlight Elizabeth Gillies' singing voice. As I recall she and the actor that played Steven sang really well together. I appreciate how the show tries as often as possible to have Elizabeth sing. As for Adam, with Kirby not pulling away from him after he confessed most of his sins I wonder if he will come completely clean and admit to her what he did to her half brother Steven. Oh by the way, I also did a gaslight number on your brother and he's now a bit more mental than he was. And did I mention that I tried to kill Jeff with poisoned laced paint. I assumed Evan would be the funeral Fallon attends in 6 months but now I'm not so sure. I don't think it will be any of the core cast though. Everyone is finally finding their character groove and making things click and connect. After some of the ups and downs of season one who knew I'd be happy to see this show renewed for a fifth season. Go show Go.

I think Darlene would be better off without Ben. He fails to see she's struggling and needs his support. He berates her when she tries yet again to get him to understand. And she finally caves in and sells the tickets. Way to be. I too wasn't thrilled with the whole Jeopardy subplot and making Jackie look like a fool. Rather than silly plots like this it would be more interesting to have her son Andy make an appearance and deal why she never mentions him (estranged? went to live with his father?). Bring back a happier Jackie. As opposed to the constant harping on what a bad mother Bev is / was. Was nice seeing Louise again. This character is a bright spot. I just wish we had also seen DJ during this episode, although it sounds like he gets more screen time in the coming episode.

I suspect it will be Ethan in the casket. Fallon is there feeling bad about Trixie and now her brother. I was hoping that Adam would confess what he did to Steven when he was unloading his sins onto Kirby. Hope springs eternal that we will see Steven come back. I suppose the mysterious safety deposit box will contain everything Dominique needs to claim her portion of the Carrington fortune. Which won't be very much now that Blake has put up all his personal assets. I have really missed this show and I'm glad it's back.

I'm also getting a bit tired of Ben lately. He knows she's sufffering (as mosmt recent episodes keep telling us) and rather than take that into consideration and propose smaller get aways he essentially tells her to suck it up buttercup and use the money from the tickets to help out with the finances of the Conner household. I am also hoping that Darlene realizes been is not taking her needs serioulsy and cashes in his ticket and takes the trip on her own. Ben needs to go. In a perfect world Johnny Galecki would have agreed to come back to the show full time so that Darlene and David could have had their happy ever after. But that's not the case. Darlene deserves better than Ben and David. There must be some remote work from home Darlene could be doing as a writer as oppposed to to just dropping the goal of being a wtiter to become an executive at a local factory. As for Becky, I recall that Darlene gave her a pamphlet about Hotel, Restaurant Managmeent that offered financial aid and seemed doable. It would be great to see her pursue that and parlay her years of working as a waitress into the drive to manager a place. Granted the pandemic has decimated the hotel and to a large degree local mom and pop restaurants, but still. Anyway, realistically I hope that Darlene decideds to take the trip by herself. Although, I thought for sure she was going to see if Becky would go with her so they could bond and get away from their current stresses. The death of Molly may be the thing that finally snaps Darlene out of her stressed out, panic attack driven, self doubting mood.

One that has been driving me nuts about The Conners they seem to keep changing where the door/stairs are to the basement. They did is a couple of times on the original Roseanne but it more obvious on The Conners. On the origial, when David walked off to go to the basement he went to the backporch where the laundry machines are. Then the basement door became part of the fourth wall that we never see in the kitchen. Now it seems like they either go off to the back porch, or more recently they head toward where the bathroom used to be. I don't recall them using the fourth wall in either reboot. I know it's a small nitpick but it just annoying and always pulls me outta the storyline.

Wasn't it just and episode or two where Anders was complaining that Sam wasn't treating him like a true partner? So Sam steps up and does so and now Anders just up and leaves. The speed at which potential storylines get burned thru is amazing. I remain amazed that no one seems at all concerned about Steven. He really needs to come back. Not a fan of Adam continuing to screw with people with no consequence. Liam needs to remember Adam attacked him. Nice to see a potential love interest for Sam. Glad Monica finally knows the truth about her Mother and sister. Despite the flaws I do enjoy the show and hope it gets a fourth season. I enjoy that the show seems self aware and pokes fun at itself. Fourth season....fourth Crystal/Krystal/Cristal.

Didn't watch this while it was on CW...ended up doing a few binge watch sessions on Netflix. I am surprised there's going to be a season 2. The mystery is over, the majority of the players dead. Darnell and Nia seem to be the only ones left standing from the mystery. And I doubt we will see Chloe. I hope they bring Max back for season 2. Although Nia will most likely revenge. I suspect I won't watch it while it runs on CW but it's a great Netflix treat.

I'm holding out hope that season 8 gives Oliver, Felicity, William, and Mia a do-over and they end up having a much happier ending than the rather bleak one shown in season 7. It'd be nice to see Oliver and Felicity break the cycle and raise Mia and William together. Hope Springs eternal. Perhaps the writers will present EBR a scenerio that tops the send off that Felicity got in season 7.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one wondering if Adam killed Steven last week. Also happy to hear I wasn't the only one that was enjoying the true camp of this show. The scenes with Liz Gillies singing were also highlights of mine. She seemed to have good chemistry with brother Steven. I hope they bring the character back into the fold. I continue to hold out hope that Liam returns. I think the show is struggling as it moves away from the true camp and tries to be serious. They just don't seem to know how to make that transition. Not a fan of Crystal 1 or 2 now. Trying to give that character "edge" doesn't seem to play well at all. Mebbe Crystal 2 will end up dead this season paving the way for Krystal #3 next season. The new running gag of the show....season 10 = Cristel #10 lol. Between Blake killing someone last week and Adam shoving his mother face first into the fire, and doing a mental job on Steven last week..this show is going into some dark places it really doesn't need to. All that said I suspect I'll be watching right up until the end of season 3.

He still had his memories. and with the loss of the "Mother" construct and realizing he killed his mother...his psychosis took him back to the last time he was truly happy.....when and his mother only had each other...when he and Norma first arrived in White Pine Bay to start anew.....

that makes perfect sense smorbie...thanks for clearing that up....just makes the episode that much better for me.

Wow. Just wow. Kudos to the creators, writers, directors, actors, and the entire crew for creating such a stellar series over the years. I will miss this series very much. I will admit being surprised when Mother "left" of her own accord saying that Norman knew everything now and there was nothing left to protect him from. At that point in time he was still going to facing murder charges...wouldn't he need to be protected from that? And I do wish we had seen Dylan learn what happened to Caleb. And we had learned the true fate of Dr. Edwards. But those are small nitpicks compared to the larger nugget of gold that was the last episode.

WIth one episode left...will Dylan learn that his dad Caleb is dead?

I also think the Crimson and Clover montage with Emma was stellar. One of the things I love about this show is that a group of people from AfterBuzz TV (viewable on youtube) get together every week to discuss the episode blow by blow. This week they mentioned the perfect ash scattering scene. There was no *blow back* from a shift in the wind. It made me wonder....were the ashes CGI? Or were there multiple takes until there was a perfect scatter with no blow back? With only one episode left I wonder if ti will come to light that Norman also did in Bradley Martin and his former therapist who's been missing and presumed dead for a year or so. I worry that the despondent Dylan we see this week may be so lost next week that he does himself in. The AfterBuzz crew raise a rather interesting prediction where Dylan ...after losing Emma and their daughter, along with Norma and Norman...has nowhere else to go but the house and motel. And he starts to see Norma around the house...and in essence becomes the new Norman. Creepy thought but would not surprise me if they went this route.

Cannot wait for this episode. I love that Freddie wrote it.

Only Sheriff Romero and the woman who was his eager beaver assistant at the time know that Norman Bates was the 2nd semen sample. She ran the DNA through the system without being told to which is a no no..so I'm sure that evidence was destroyed. But you make a valid point about Cody's father...if they took DNA at the time..it should still be on file..unless it was in Sheriff Romero's private files in which case was he left office / went to prison it would have gone with him and not entered into any official record. The polygraph was for Romero's peace of mind as to whether he framed an innocent man. Romero, Norma, Norman. and the guy performing the test are the only ones that were aware the test was being done.

I thought for sure the new sheriff gave Norman a real glass for his water was so she could run his prints and get some DNA as well. Nestor did a great job directing this episode, he's got a good eye. And with each piece of new intel Norman collected I thought for sure Mother was going to show up. I think his first stop once inside the house is going to be the basement freezer to confront what else he knows to be true. Though I suspect Marion's arrival may delay that trip. While we all know that at least Dylan comes back to White Pine Bay....I hope the rest of his new family stays put. Only 5 more episodes. I will truly miss this show when it's over, but I am enjoying every minute of the journey til we get there.

I read an interview that Max gave regarding "Hidden" the writers didn't give him any scenes in the past couple of episodes so he could focus on directing "Hidden". I think it's very cool that "Hidden" shows Norman trying to lead a normal life apart from Mother which is something Dylan was always trying to encourage. And Max directing the elaborate funeral for Caleb seemed like a great send-off. It's clear that the entire cast and crew of this show get along well and life each other in real life. They've become a their own family over the past 5 years. I will miss the show so very much when it's gone.

Amy and Howard could have continued their shared love of Neil Diamond.....they didn't need to revert to being uncomfortable around each other. And as mentioned earlier Zach is Penny's ex-husband...not just old boyfriend. Do the writers even watch / research this show? And do the writers listen when actors bring up previous history?

As Penny once said in the episode where the boys were making fun of her friend Zack..."For guys that claim they were picked on for most of their lives..you can be real jerks sometimes...shame on all of you" So you'd think they learned their lesson and not pick on Stuart.........between the actors and the writers you'd think someone would have voted for some character growth instead of going for the cheap laughs at Stuart's expense....

I really wish the writers would actually watch the show or at least keep notes from previous seasons handy. If memory serves, Sheldon and Lenard decided some time ago they no longer needed a roommate agreement. So why would they be fighting about something they no longer bother with? It's sad how the writers don't remember the history of the characters and continue contradicting previous episodes, or rehashing things that were dealt with before. And a previous poster from a different thread had a good point....Stuart was first introduced as a struggling artist. Now he's just a sad sack. Mebbe they should just pull the plug on this show before next season..just pay off everyone's contract and be done. The sparkle this show had is really starting to tarnish.....

Meanwhile....couldn't Wells have laced the needle with some kind of tranquilizer or poison so when Zoom injected himself he was instantly dealt with?

Ok....well ...that happened. Talk about a hot mess. Let's talk this through....when last we saw "Jay".....Zoom kills him as the last breach closes. Zoom then speeds dead "Jay" to his "secret" lair / prison...dumps the dead "Jay" in front of the man in the iron mask and says "well, that complicates things". (if I remember correctly). Why would Zoom bother saying that if he knew that the dead "Jay" was nothing more than a speed remnant and that killing said remnant was always part of the plan. If that was the plan... how did it complicate things? *blink* *blink* *blink*
