1. I wish Keith had mentored Veronica more on cop tactics instead of letting her learn by her own mistakes, but I suppose not his nature and also wants her to have a normal childhood.

I like the boots with stars on them....sigh....they wouldn't fit me, though.

Also, I think Logan may have been the one to promise to donate them to the school originally, knows that he will later have a knock down fight with Aaron and probably get pounded with Aaron's fists for taking them...I think Logan promises money to soup kitchen, Aaron beats him, Logan donates boots, Aaron....rinse and repeat. It really starts to be more than Lynn can just drink through.

I don't remember if we know that Logan knows Weevil's grandmother (and Weevil as anything except a random cockroach around school) but I think that who he is doing it for--that and for pissing off Aaron, of course. Twofer. It is actually nicer than anything he does for Veronica, ever, that I can think of.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into this?

Wasn't Weevil's grandmother Logan's housekeeper? And she got fired after Paris Hilton accused her of identity theft, but it the culprit was really Weevil's cousin?

  2.
Is the 1985 version starring Megan Follows? I'm looking on Amazon, and would love to see it, but don't want to spend $20 and get the wrong version from Amazon.
Yes, it's Megan Follows. I still vividly remember the day in sixth grade that our gifted teacher had us watch it. I fell in love hard and there's no way I will ever love another version like that one.

  3. Archie is SOOOOOOOO the least interesting thing about this show. Betty's plan for vengeance, plus her investigative reporting thing with Jughead (who is more than low-key sexy) were giving me Veronica Mars feels! If the show was just them against the world, I'd be so happy.

  4. I was happy to see Brooke, Shirley, Sheldon, and Katsuji again. (I actually find Katsuji strangely attractive. Way more so than Sam.) But in lieu of the others, I'd have rather had Lizzie from S10, Nina from S11, and Doug and Gregory from S12. Maybe some of them were asked but didn't want to return. Or else producers aimed for a split between "has a genuine chance" and "provides drama."

  5. I wonder if they are setting up Mr. Boss as the counterpoint to Viv's plans. He said something like "I own this town," while she wants to make it the capital of Zombie Nation. So, you have murderous thugs up against potentially murderous zombies in that scenario.

Yes, exactly. There was completely a point to the whole Mr. Boss thing -- it's just setting up season 3 and not immediate events. :)

  6. I'm so disappointed and disgusted by this. But if I recall correctly, wasn't Paul the one who said he was a drug dealer or gang member or something like that, before he made cooking his career? Funny, because he seemed like such a peaceful, if intense, type.

He did say he was a drug dealer, but also Kwame said it this season, too. Up until today, I'd thought both were cases of a super-talented kid making it through his struggles and achieving success/finding the place he belonged.  Sigh.

  7. Seasons like this with several likeable contestants who *don't* win makes me ponder dream casting for another All-Stars season. So far I've got:

Season 9: Edward Lee, Nyesha Arrington, Sarah Grueneberg (even though she is unpleasant)

Season 10: Brooke Williamson, Lizzie Binder, Sheldon Simeon. Possibly Josh Valentine, king of bacon.

Season 11: Nina Compton, Shirley Chung, Carlos Gaytan.

Season 12: Gregory Gourdet, Doug Adams, Melissa King, Katsuji Tanabe.

Season 13: Amar Santana, Kwame Onwuachi. (I find I don't want to see more of anyone else just now.)

That'd be 16. 9 dudes, 7 ladies. I guess Marjorie or Karen could help bring up the balance some.

  8. "If you're second, you're the first loser" - what a horrible message to teach your daughter, Jeremy. That couldn't possibly backfire and cause self-esteem issues.

Isn't this what Jennifer Carroll said her dad told her after her post-exist flameout on Season 8?

Also, I would also give a kidney to see Carla and Isaac together.
