SASHA! Boy did I turn the TV on at the right time to see him suck it up and take control after losing that first set to Novaxx. Sasha, I love you so much right now and want to have your baby! Thank you on behalf of #TeamABN!
  2. I won’t spoil the finale for those who haven’t watched yet. But I was surprised at who won. Everything that all 3 teams made in both rounds looked delectable. I especially loved the hats in the first round. So clever! I enjoyed the videos with their loved ones and must say that Julien’s wife and kids are so gorgeous! I would love to have seen what “my teddy bear couple” George and Geanina would have done. At one point, Kevin had to practically kick dumbassTom out of the way so he could continue working. Grrr, for the millionth time, I can’t stand those co-hosts. Congrats to the winner but I th
  3. I guess the pressure did get to Naomi after all. I can’t imagine dealing with the stress and high expectations that today’s premiere athletes face given the immediacy and criticism on social media and news reporting. Apparently it has gotten the better of darling Simone Biles, too. It would be so difficult to have a “I’m just going to have fun” attitude.
  4. Honey did not like the harness for the first 2 or 3 times but all of a sudden loved it when she saw me take it off the hook. She knew we were going somewhere! So she stood there patiently as I snapped it on her and then sat in her seat patiently as I buckled her in! I wonder if Buddy’s vet might know where to get one locally?
  5. That crazy boy! Have you considered a harness for him that can be buckled into the seat belt? I started doing that for Honey after a former co-worker had to slam on her brakes when a driver pulled out in front of her in the blink of an eye. Her doggie was thrown forward and suffered a terrible injury. 😢 BTW, I love me some Led Zeppelin!
  6. I watch a lot of tennis and root for Naomi. However, I am not feeling this docuseries. As others have mentioned, she has such a soft voice that it’s difficult to hear her. And I never had any doubts that everyone in the public eye has varying degrees of pressure and sacrifice. So although I’m two episodes in and will watch the third tomorrow, I have not learned anything new about Naomi. Frankly, I have a growing sense of discomfort in watching all this behind the scenes stuff. That birthday party scene was intrusive to me. She and her sister were cute together in episode 2 but she needs an em

Yes, it appears that 624 is DirecTV’s Olympic Channel. Prior to finding that channel, I was looking on my local NBC channel and on NBCSN but then saw a banner regarding 624. I’m probably not making sense! But I’m just glad I can watch on TV and not a device.

If you have DirecTV, tennis will be shown at 9 pm CDT on channel 624 which is a special Olympic channel. Once in a blue moon, it is worth it to have that overpriced satellite service.
  9. No, no, no, no, no! 😢 The wrong team went home! I’m going to pout the rest of the day. I enjoyed both rounds and especially enjoyed the teddy bear picnic theme. I have never heard that song before. But they were too harsh on George (the real teddy bear) and Geanina. That guy team should have gone. I’m rooting for Julien and Elise or Kevin and Marie Vittoria now. If G & G ever do have children, I can imagine they will be the most loving parents. 🥰 They are darling.
  10. I’m super late to reply, but if you still need to find discussion on episodes from November 2016, I believe they may begin at page 217. Just keep reading until you find the one you’re interested in.

According to Fed’s Twitter, he has experienced a setback with his knee and is withdrawing from the Olympics. Even without the knee issue, I doubt he would have gone to Tokyo without Mirka and the kids. But will the knee be okay for the US Open? This Fed fan sadly thinks not. He will be 40 in August and I can tell you that as someone who does not have excessive wear and tear on the knees, it is shocking how the body changes beginning around 40. YMMV, but it’s almost like a clock goes off and the body says screw you. Even if you exercise and do yoga regularly, it’s still a bitch to see how the b

Yep. Novaxx was just too fierce for Matteo. That was a great first set and I had hope. It was a good growth experience for him and perhaps he can get it done next year. Someone is going to have to step up and take out Novaxx. I hope someone ruins the US Open for him.

What an incredible set! Matteo is not going away quietly. Keep it up, big guy! Show Djoker that you’ve got balls, too!

C’mon, Matteo, in about an hour you have ONE JOB! Please don’t get overwhelmed by the setting, don’t let your opponent pound you in the ground, keep your head about you, and serve the crap out of that ball. You have many more supporters than you realize, so get your cute buns out there and win this thing! 😘
  15. Oh please don’t drag the forum for this totally charming show down with political qualifiers of “red” states or “blue” states. We all know that the filming has been impacted by the virus, so can’t we just leave it at that? I think the show’s production team is based on the east coast and it’s probably easier to film there right now. Isn’t anyone else sick of labels?

I am also happy for Ash but glad that Pliskova won the second set to make it more of a match. I think Chrissie said that by the time the season wraps up, Ash will have been away from home for 7 months due to restrictions and reminded us that the American and European players can usually see friends and loved ones since our restrictions are more relaxed. I can only imagine how difficult this season must be for Ash, but that championship makes it worthwhile. #Team ABN

The ladies doubles final is now on ESPN!
  20. I can see why you’re feeling low today, @Netfoot. Bravo for giving yourself the first shot. I’d have to get someone to do it to me. I know I couldn’t do it. Wishing you a better afternoon and a good cuddle with the furry sausage monster and one of your new books.
  21. Marcella used to do that on The Kitchen.
  22. Duck and lavender in a brioche? Am I misremembering this? What a horrendous combination. IMO, brioche is perfect on its own. It needs no flavor addition. Just enjoy its buttery goodness. Don’t laugh but the couple of times a year that I grill burgers, I buy a package of Walmart’s brioche buns! They’re always so fresh and I very lightly toast the insides to create a protective barrier so the mustard and mayo don’t seep into the delicate bun and disintegrate it. I will never buy a regular hamburger bun again. I would eat the heck out of that puff pastry thing that was also in round 1–whate

Shapovalov is 0-6 vs. Novaxx. Perhaps the tennis gods will be kinder to the Canadian on Friday. PLEASE!

ESPN2 has the other matches. I watched all of Shapovalov and am watching FAA now.
