I thought even Carrie Ann looked disgusted with ALM. Being we love to talk producer manipulation and conspiracy theories.....how does this sound? Maybe they really want a M&M win, but Meryl does not get as many votes as adorable, all American, floppy curls Charlie. So they score her consistently high to show the viewers she is the best, and tend to give Charlie lower scores to show he just isn't as good. And maybe Charlie continues to reel in the high number of votes. So last night, they decided to do the opposite, hoping Meryl fans will vote like crazy, and Charlie fans will feel relaxed and comfortable. The only glitch in this is Amy. Unless.....they really want a Meryl/Amy showdown, and Charlie is consistently the high vote getter.

Have fans been saying anything about this interview on Twitter? I don't follow Caleb, and I am curious of the reaction. ETA….I just watched the interview. WOW is all I could say. Using the R word was horrible, but he also insulted his fans by mocking them for giving him song suggestions on Twitter. Dude, these same fans will be your bread and butter!!! And the first thing that comes to mind about the hometown parade is hookers and cocaine?! Just go away Caleb……I used to be impressed by your voice, but you need more than a good voice to be a fan of mine.

Bearcatfan, that's an interesting dog story! I have been rooting for Charlie since night 1. My husband, who doesn't usually watch this with me, has watched every show, because he was intrigued by Charlie also. I hope he comes does awesome tonight…..still waiting for those 10's across the board!

I think some of Sam's fans may be mad enough to not vote for Alex, but Sam really seems to like Alex, and his Twitter reflects that. I think some of Sam's fans will vote for Alex because of that.

I was looking at tweets to Alex, and it seems a lot of Sam's fans really like Alex. I think he will get a lot of Sam's votes in the next few weeks.

That is an interesting thought about Jena being the bottom 2……….

Most people I talk to, most people on message boards….seem to not like Jena's singing. Who the heck is keeping her around??? It would make me delightfully giddy if she was a shock boot tonight!!

I missed Jess's "Human", and the song with Jena, Sam and Alex singing. I will watch in a bit. But from what I have seen, Alex won the night. Caleb is awesome in his genre and will front a band some day. Sam….not great, but at least he looks more comfortable. Jess….still cannot feel emotion from her, though she has a great voice. Jena….there is no doubt her voice is great (don't like her low register), but I still don't care for her.

They need to flush that idol out ASAP! Someone will be "sacrificed" in the process, but hey, what can you do? Then the next week, they have to vote him out. I wonder if the idol can only be used up to the 5 to 4 TC?

Certainly a lot of the judges' scores are subjective. What bothers me is ignoring blatant faux pas......such as the lift in the waltz.

I think it is just his bite that causes his smile to look that way. I have seen others with the same issue. I do think braces would have definitely fixed that.

Alex has never been in the bottom 2 or 3.

Jason Mraz is the mentor next week. That should be a good fit for Alex.
