  1. I also have a FamilySafe shelter in my garage, and I would trust it a million times more than the one they showed on this ep. Plus, who wants to put bolts in your bedroom floor? - you can't move it, you wreck the floor, you are either going to have to hope future buyers want to keep it or fix the floor, etc. I can get to my garage in less than 60 seconds and up to 6 people can fit in it comfortably. All this while keeping my comfy adjustable base bed in the bedroom and having paid less for my shelter, fully installed.
  2. I hate the change guy so bad that I'm going to start paying in cash, just so I can start collecting change in a crusade against him. He was arrogant and rude and there are already a million solutions to this supposed problem. Heck, McDonald's drive-thru has had a thing you can toss your change into for charity for years underneath the window. I also don't get why they were so impressed with the phone number idea. Caribou Coffee has been using mobile phone numbers to check-in for years, as does another big fast food chain in MN, just to name two. Finally, he was centered on baristas, but Starbucks and every other coffee retailer has their own app that they are trying to steer you to use. Loose change isn't going to change their minds about capturing your money for their own selves. Stupid Robert for giving him a deal... although, I doubt it is one that will be finalized.
  3. The cut-out at the bottom of the W mimics the shape of the Frywall in a pan. I actually liked the logo. I might like the product if they get that price down. I'm wondering if you can just take a silicone mat and a binder clip and have basically the same thing for less.
  4. Jumping in to say thank you so much for these Old School Recaps. I very happily read each after the corresponding episode and they not only agreed with my own emotional reaction (oh, the man pain) but also did my historical research for me and filled in the dialogue that I couldn't make out on my own. Fug Girls, you continue to amaze and delight! I'm one happy campaign contributor!
  5. Thank you SO much for the information, Beldasnoop! I will get a set ordered!
  6. I'm usually unhappy about all of the cutting, but this is the first time that I'm mad about the missing scenes on the PBS version... does anyone know which versions of the DVDs would contain the original uncut versions of the episodes? Everything that I'm seeing on Amazon seems to indicate that they are the PBS cuts and I remember reading online already the Amazon and iTunes single episode versions are also cut. Help! and thanks!
  7. Thank you for mentioning the worst aspect of the "talking murder doll". I couldn't understand why none of The Sharks pointed out how very creepy the voice was. Calling it a robot may be honest, at least, but who would want to listen to it? Totally agree with all of the comments on enough with the letting of iPads entertain your children. I love me my gadgets, but kids need to learn to play on their own or, you know, interact with their parents occasionally. Otherwise, your child might grow up and buy a No Phone.
  8. "And okay, she was good but why was she soloing in Sam's church???" EXACTLY! I really like this song and this version, but why couldn't this have been Sam's song? Or, at least, Karen not take it over entirely? My Karen hate was already deep and profound, but this just cemented it for me. Even though I have forgotten most of the details of this show over time, whenever this spins up on the iPod, I can't just enjoy it because I start to get mad on Sam's behalf again!
  9. It is good to be with my people - no use for Karen, wanted to love the show, ended up loving to loathe it. And yet, I keep a couple of songs (featuring MH, thankyouverymuch) in fairly regular rotation on my iPod. Love this.
  10. Exactly. Two politicians that want to be on tv does not mean that he's getting one dime. Of course, it could be that it was some sort of staged meeting for something that was approved, but I doubt that seriously. Everything that Shibori said times one thousand. He's not the first person to make the connection between music and math and schools aren't going to plop a bunch of hard-to-get funds into something completely unproven. I think he'd have to find a private funder to get this out as a test in order to get the evidence that Shibori spoke of. This dude needed a Kevin to come in and tell him that he needs to either smarten up or fail again in no uncertain terms.
  11. Jumping on quick to say that I really enjoyed the recap. After the usual teary-eyed watching of the episode (business travel is the worst when you miss your shows), I was thankful for the laughs! ("I hope she burns it to the ground.")
  12. And, the extra time was allowed to start a half-hour early on my station - having no idea, that meant that I came in just at the end of the technical challenge. What followed was 20 minutes of content and 40 minutes of pledge drive prattle. I would have gladly given them money to have actually gotten to watch the entire show, but instead they made me hate them a little. Especially the woman who was sure that the pledge gift book was awesome in spite of her never cooking herself.
  13. I actually thought that the Lumi kit might be fun (in the way that I buy things that will be fun and totally intend to do them while they collect dust in a closet.) What wouldn't be fun at all is partnering with that woman. That voice that just wouldn't shut up as she tried to find a new way to say 5% for $250,000 drove me nuts.
  14. Loved Jen's line reading on "I think you underestimate the voters." <> "I do not think that is possible." <> Kyle having the shoeshine stand would have been genius, Traveller519!
