  1. Ugh. What a boring stupid season. I still can't stand Reza and his pathetic attempts at being funny. He is the dictionary definition of 'self hating". He has low self esteem, insecure in his heritage and zero pride in his ethnicity and culture. Him and Adam converting to Judaism is a joke. He doesn't have the self confidence or he is too ignorant to explain to people that Iran and the iranian government are two different things and says the most ridiculous things like that they behead gays in Iran??? wtf dude. He literally has no idea what he's talking about. Also, hate to break it to you Reza but just like islamic fundamentalism - gays are not tolerated by Jewish radicals. He is pig-ignorant. and desperately trying to be 'white' as he puts it...the worst. I don't blame Asa for using this to just make money. She is a phony with a fake spiritualism earth-mama spiel (i.e. diamond water bottled water is the worst thing for the environment), she was smart enough to use itl to deflect from having to reveal her private life or do anything to embarrass herself (too much). She doesn't like these people. Mike - stop saying 'i love you' to people you don't care for. The botox looks awful and makes you look like Spock. MJ- revolting and so contrived. The deliberate and slow way she talks to try to sound deep and profound also grates me.. Producers- please find some real, interesting, successful, smart, rich Persians who are still suitably shallow for this show. These people are tragic and boring.
  2. Anyone else disturbed Mike told Jessica to shut up in the trailer.?? Was he not aware there were cameras there or is she accustomed to hearing that...The correct Persian translation isn't on the same level as 'shut up' is in English, it's more along the lines of 'shut the eff up' and is considered very offensive in Persian. I cant believe I heard him say that to his wife.
  3. Asifa's weird lasered hair line was so distracting tonight.
  4. Did anyone notice Reza spent more time bitching/gossiping with his friends than actually being friendly or loving towards Adam at his party? It's just not how you treat your fiancé. Reza's bachelor party was lame, and despite MJs pathetic attempts at sleaze and raunch, it actually looked boring and like they were trying hard to be wild for the cameras. Adam please run away and marry Sasha from the previous season. Asifa- "middle eastern people love having photos of themselves everywhere" ..."These Persian hot pants are so Persian" huh!!!??? I'm not buying her Persian background or if there was a connection it was a long time ago but she's using it to be on the show. She clearly thinks Bobby is a prize and that he won him. She will be a lifetime of pain for any husband. Also concerned that Bobby think GG is someone that you seek relationship advice from. MJ - All I see is her pursed slippery looking sausage lips. Asa - has clearly had the Kardashian ass procedure done. I love how she created 'diamond water' a product that is part of the bottled water industry and one of the most damaging to the environment, yet is a hippy earth loving spiritual charlatan. Proof these people really had no big money to begin with, each of them uses Shahs to create some totally unnecessary crappy product/pyramid scheme to foist onto the public. I wish Bravo found some genuinely interesting successful people to follow around, but I suspect those people probably don't want to be on a Bravo show.
  5. yeah I guess it's entirely possible but I cant imagine anyone on Shah's of Sunset being the subtle, discreetly wealthy type. First clue was Asifa's question "how much was this?" My guess is that Shervin was some sort of Nerd in IT that made a load of money and transformed into his playboy persona after the fact. The other's seem moderately wealthy.
  6. Not buying that the necklace bobby got asifa was real diamonds.... that thing would cost >100K and yet they seem to be renting an average albeit nice apartment and nothing else screams mega money.
  7. While I like Shervin's jokes and general bravo-edited sanity.. the house and flashy cars are super tacky. Mikes comments about Persian guys liking flashy things is probably more relevant to his immediate circle of Persian trashy LA hustler friends. I feel bad for Jessica, she has settled for an idiot and is angry and has decided to channel her frustration to the group. Agree with the rest of them that they had no business getting involved. As far as Jessica disliking the group and not wanting Mike to associate with them, meh I think that's her prerogative. These 'friends' are selfish, boring and backstabbing, why would you want to hang around them? Asa- ugh your art is crap. There is nothing original or though provoking about it. Your comments about making hejab sexy is also insulting and stupid. Hejab is not sexy, its all about subjugating women. If it was about modesty both men and women would wear it. I have an issue with her calling it beautiful and sexy, when for most women in the world who wear it, it is mandatory and a tool of oppression. I'm getting bored with this group. None of them are funny or lead fabulous lives. The only source of content seems to be Bravo funded pool parties where they act like fools. Everything else about their day to day lives is low rent and boring. New people needed!
  8. I actually feel bad for Jessica, or any other woman in her position. I have no doubt she is scouring all of the Interwebs looking for info/reports/gossip regarding her and Mike and i'm sure deep down she is devastated to have these rumours swirling around. Even if Mike is 100% innocent (and he may be- who knows!) it must really hurt her and im sure it's damaging their relationship despite the smiles we see. Just awful.
  9. This episode is just SO fake and scripted even for crappy reality tv standards... MJ parading her dog around for a reaction, GG pretending not to want to see it. Mike pretending to work and being interrupted by Jessica with wedding stuff in which NO decision was made. The bemused rent an office crowd looking on. Ping Pong tournament- why were they dressed like they were going to a 80s roller disco - did I miss something? I want to know more about Vida and her background to understand why she is so mean... Asifa's dad seems like a complete tool. I was raised by a middle eastern man and he told me I can be anything in the world and DIDNT train me to cook and clean after men. At least Asifa's Taliban family seem to be OK with her living 'in sin'. I just wish they would showcase more Iranian men like my dad - they are definitely the majority. PS - I thought they were Zoroastrian and not Muslim... maybe I heard wrong
  10. Hearing Reza describing his sex life was utterly gross - I wish Adam wakes up and finds someone worthy of his love and attention. There is something just really creepy and icky about Reza. Asa - love her house and her family are genuinely close and involved with each other. I'm just over the phony quirkiness and cat story line - Asa's mum was even wearing cat pyjamas and she looked like she was trying hard to be a character. They are legitimately interesting and kooky that I wish they were just left alone to be themselves. If you ever wanted to see a low rent, poorly edited music video of Asa rapping about Fessenjoon which is an Iranian stew which involves her crazy family dancing in their living room here it is MJ trying on those leggings and exposing her basketball ass cheeks
  11. I agree about Mike getting a bad edit this season too...it's so obvious and doctored too with the randomly inserted shots throughout this season of him laughing maniacally or doing crazy eyes.. not long ago he was the most reasonable and fair of this group. I think he is guilty of inappropriate flirting or touching, still bad, but different from what GG is claiming. Other take home points: Vida - the most unaffectionate Persian maman I have ever seen. For once Reza was actually funny impersonating her. Jessica - the emotion and happiness at her proposal resonated with me. I don't understand the hate towards her... she wants to marry a guy (she is too good for him IMHO) and she is young and naïve and wants to change him and regulate his behaviour, but lots of young girls are guilty of this. Whether or not Mike is right for her, I thought her proposal was quite genuinely beautiful and her raw emotion was moving. Asifa- less makeup is better my dear. Charlie- when MJ piped up with " he loves me" he didn't agree or say it - just said he 'cares about her' or words like that. There is something unauthentic about him..
  12. Agree with other comments about A$a's phony spiritualism... this girl will promote anything if it gains or saves her a quick buck. I think her one and only interest in being on this show is to leverage her commercial enterprises and earn $$$$, and being a phony snake oil 'artist' is her M.O.
  13. Ok well here is some background to explain (or theorise) on some of the mental deficit exhibited by the Shahs this episode. For those wondering why it was racist call her half Indian, well some Iranians (like any racism which exists throughout the world) consider Indians as inferior. They wont say it, or acknowledge it but some people definitely feel this way. Reza - the hair is ridiculous and combined with the chubbiness he's looking very kim jong un this season. Adam is so sweet, what does he see in Kim Jong Rez! Reza's bs outrage at calling Adam's mom Miss Ellen demonstrated his phoniness yet again. Iranians would not bat an eyelid about doing that especially when we grew up calling elders by titles, never their first name. Him calling the parents old MacDonald was also disrespectful, likewise, calling it the bowels of America. Its no-ones fault but Reza's he is an ignorant poorly travelled fat f*ck!. Also, why is he obsessed with 'white' people and an us and them attitude. I think he has some deep seated self hatred of his culture and heritage, he must have been bullied for being different as a kid and since he seems to fetishize 'white' men now, he has evolved a self defence response to exaggerate and point out differences before someone else does it . For example identifying himself and other Persians as brown and the others as white. People without Reza's mental problems don't do this. Iran and its people are diverse, we don't label our self white or brown etc.
  14. Im Aussie. Gamble's isn't really an accent - I think she speaks slowly and has an impediment of sorts - so it's not an accent as such. We don't really have regional accents in Australia, however (very generally speaking) the more broad and drawn out the accent means a couple of things -youre either from a country area and youre possibly from a lower educational background. Gina probably has the most sophisticated accent but that's probably because she is a barrister. The others really draw our their words, for example, oh hallllooooow daaaaahhhhling how arrrrrrrre you? - that's not really an accent - its just these ladies trying to be 'fabulous' .
  15. It always surprises me that professional men, such as Gamble's bf, favour frivolous silly women to date/marry. Yeah I get that they take care of themselves, look good trophy wife blah blah (still not sure about Gamble and her weird frozen face) but surely you need stimulating conversation and someone who is your intellectual counterpart at some point?? Case in point Gamble referring to enjoying the company of 'academics' like Gina... hmmm me thinks she doesn't actually know the difference between a professional, an academic, a botox nurse ... Also Gamble previously dated two very rich business men in Australia - appears to be an 'academic' in the art of husband hunting. Petti is base, boring and irritating - she also gives me the impression of downplaying her Sri Lankan heritage especially when she listed her heritage as 3/4 European. Um no. I want her and her tacky limp hair extensions to go away. I like Gina - she is delusional about what looks good on her, but she is poised and I like her acid tongue and jibes.
