  1. Well if somehow EJ is connected to Helen--maybe that means Noah is in his life as well and in reading Noah's books he gets interested in the real life things that happened.
  2. This story reminds me of that Dateline episode where there were two neighbors, and one of them objected to the other crossing his property--and he shot him. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/15/nyregion/shooting-dressage-social-media.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes
  3. I think Tom eating Logan's chicken might be my favorite scene of the whole series. That bite he took said it all.
  4. Keith interview in GQ. I had no idea he was 72. https://www.gq.com/story/keith-morrison-dateline-profile
  5. Not sure it will work but this is the link. I saw it because Jon posted about having her on. https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5mZWVkYnVybmVyLmNvbS9wb2Qtc2F2ZS1hbWVyaWNh&episode=NjRhNmQ0ODgtZTZjMC0xMWU5LTkxZGMtNjc2ZmQzY2U0ZTdh&hl=en&ep=6&at=1570743118466
  6. I have thought that about most of the houses they've done--they seem to be in modest neighborhoods-often not that much bigger than the owner's original home--and boom--they put a second story on it that makes it tower over the neighboring home. I'm in a suburb of Boston and it's the same here--in my town, there are a lot of older historic homes, and then some that are post WWII-1960's builds and then they put up new homes that are just huge in the midst of them. I actually liked the very modern hipster look of the house itself--but it will definitely stand out on that street unless some neighbors follow suit. From the outside it looked like one of the homes the guys on Boise Boys might do.
  7. Rachel will be a guest host on Pod Save America this week.
  8. I've been calling it hypnosis--Trump will pick a word or phrase and use it over and over until his followers do the same--Fake News is now morphing to Enemies of the People. No Collusion is another. Since they announced the Impeachment Inquiry, I feel like the GOP talking points that most are following contain them.
  9. Aren't Rachel's parents in CA? I don't know her schedule for appearances but I hope she gets some time with them and that they can help her with getting around. Travel is hard enough without a messed up leg. I was very confused about the special Sunday show. I watch via Hulu and they didn't even have it on their channel guide, they said it was Dateline.
  10. I liked the latest home they did but I did not think it looked like a home for people with two littles--maybe these people are just extremely tidy--but babies seem to come with a lot of "stuff". I liked the floating stairs with the wood slat wall, but did they have any kind of railing or do you just grab one of the slats as you climb up?
  11. They should know that Rachel is on in prime time and her having the reporter who has breaking news on is only good for them. I will give them that she definitely is on the left side --but I do not think she's unfair or in any way distorts the news *but then I mostly agree with her!
  12. Actually, I noticed that in the past couple of weeks, she's had NYT people on again--I wondered if they lifted their ban against their people doing Rachel's show---I'm pretty sure Mike was on last week when he had some hot story.
  13. Rachel told Lawrence last night that she was going to try to get info from Abby. I thought she handled Meghan very gracefully (it's Rachel)--Meghan takes most everything a liberal says as offensive, and Rachel was very serious, spoke to her respectfully but said what she really thought. And saying something good about McCain put Meghan into a better mode where she was not confrontational. Nicolle did a good job tonight but I'm glad Rachel is in tomorrow. This book tour is going to be brutal for her, it sounds like. I got a free copy of the book by doing a free trial of Audible on Amazon--you can cancel after the trial and keep the books. I think I'll like listening to it--I loved Bagman.
  14. She was good.. Every time Meghan or Abby tried to ask her something she acted like she took them seriously. She was very smart to be complimentary about John McCain first thing.
  15. No Rachel tonight--Nicole Wallace just said she was filling in tonight. Rachel did a good job on The View today, and then rushed back and did Andrea Mitchell's show.
  16. Rachel is taking great pleasure in saying "The President is going to be impeached" as often as she can. I was thinking of starting a drinking game every time she said it but I'd have passed out. She deserves it--with all the bad news she has to deliver every day.
  17. Oh my, I was just thinking about that last night--that the show started out very slow and pretty dark --and I fully expected the old man to die soon--and let the heirs fight it out--and after a few episodes, they seem to hit their stride and it got so much better--I can't imagine it now if Logan wasn't there torturing them all. So glad to hear the music won--the opening theme gets in my head and I can't get it out. Best theme song in a long time.
  18. https://www.realitytea.com/2019/09/11/sonja-morgan-dorinda-medley-make-offensive-comments-about-transgender-models-at-nyfw/ Nice women.

    Design Shows

Saw a promo for this --new design competition show coming in October. https://www.hgtv.com/shows/rock-the-block Mina from Good Bones, Alison Victoria from Windy City Rehab, Jasmine from Hidden Potential, and Lee Ann Ford from Restored by the Fords re-do identical places. I know that Mina and Jasmine can do actual construction and I think probably Alison can from past experience (she doesn't do much on WCR) but I've never seen Lee Ann do anythng but paint things--mostly white. I hope they have hired helpers.
  20. HGTV brought back a show from last year--it was called Music City Fix--couple in Nashville--she is a real estate agent and does the design and he is the contractor---is back with a new name--Masters of Flip. They do a nice job with expanding modest houses and updating them but she has a very obnoxious sense of color--every home I've seen, my first reaction has been "well it's just paint--we could fix that" and he chronically takes on the house --they always have full access to look at the possible homes and he always seems to buy the house and it has some major problem he didn't catch so he is chronically over-budget. Their first 2 episodes of the new season are on the website under the HGTV Sneak Peak. The first one is the only episode I could remember where the husband didn't go way over budget, so I had hope they had a new thing but the second one, the house literally had no foundation--and he never looked until one of his workmen took him to the basement. They make huge profits if the numbers they quote are accurate. I like that new show Going for Sold do nice work and make a fraction of what these people make.
  21. This would make a good episode. I can't believe he was released.
