  1. This is the first episode I've caught in a while, and wow. So much drama, so much cheese, so much overacting. There's been some pretty bad character arcs over the past few seasons, but IMO this one is the worst. Maybe it's because SM's acting does nothing for me (it just bounces between yelling and crying and sometimes both simultaneously) or because the cheese factor was painfully high. Or maybe it's because I miss the original incarnation of Morgan, back when he was a player and still managed to be a mature adult. It seems like the writers (and possibly the cast) think maturity = having a family. I'd be totally fine with Hotch and JJ being the only team members who have kids. Not everyone has to have a family of their own to be happy. We were first subjected to this unnecessary transformation with Rossi and now Morgan. It's sad to see how much this show has changed. I did like the last 10 minutes though I agree that the pacing felt a bit off. I also liked the closing quote which I believed was originally used in "Run."
  2. I know I've read on this board before that her fans were the most delusional but I never actually believed it until now. I know everyone in the cast has these types of followers but the ones stirring shit up "on behalf" of AJC seem to be the worst. I may be overreacting but it kind of bothers me that neither her nor her husband have said anything. You have fans harassing someone you know and claiming to do it for you and you're staying quiet? The two of them are even being tagged on some of these posts and I believe they both follow Mr. Stewart so it's not as if they're not seeing what's going on. I think this is one of the many reasons so many of us have turned against JJ. It's not just the total destruction of her character, but the fact that her fans are so touchy and defensive. I end up associating all of them with JJ and by extension, the actress who plays her.
  3. He just tried to clear it up by saying that he loves everyone on CM but that doesn't mean they hang out off-set, while describing himself as only "a blip in the show." Then he responded to some looney tune AJC fan who was demanding an apology for AJC with: "If you're this concerned with who I follow on Twitter, id recommend finding something more productive to do." Then he retweeted a message from a separate looney tune AJC fan that read: "Let #JoshStewart know he can't get away with publicly being a douche bag to @ajcookofficial!! Our loyalty lies with AJ! Unfollow him! PLS RT" So he basically told AJC fans to get a life while also trolling them with the retweet. I can't believe I'm gonna say this but Josh Stewart might be my spirit animal. I wish they would just let him play himself instead of Will Lamontagne. Edit: now someone is accusing him of cheating on his spouse. God social media is frightening.
  4. Small group. Stick with me on this analogy: they're like the NRA. They seem to think they speak for the majority when in fact they only speak for a microscopic minority. I'm quite proud that I was able to compare this awful group of people on twitter to an awful group of people in real life.
  5. Well he went to Paget and Steve's wedding and they were tweeting at each other earlier today so I get the feeling they're pretty good friends. I honestly never got that feeling with him and AJC and her hubby, which is to say they've never implied on twitter that they hang out outside of work. It seems that it's not destroying the Willifer fantasy for people so much as renewing hope in Jotch or Jeid, so really no good has come of this. And now I'm stuck in a twitter black hole from which I may never emerge…pray for me.
  6. Though I haven't posted on this board in quite a while, I have continued to check in to see what everyone is thinking about CM. I'm breaking my quiet streak because I want to vent about something to sane CM fans. So I guess a few days ago Josh Stewart AKA Will Lamontagne Jr. unfollowed AJC and her husband on social media. He also unfollowed dozens of other accounts so it probably wasn't anything to get worked up about, but the CM fandom went crazy asking him for an explanation. Tonight someone tweeted at him "@J0SHSTEWART why did you unfollow aj and nathan? wtf dude i thought you were cool. this ain't okay." I guess he thought that by giving an answer he would be left alone about this issue so he responded with: "Sorry to disappoint u. I've just decided to follow people I have personal relationships with. Hope alls well darlin" Now I interpret that answer as meaning that while he is on good terms with them, they're not close. To me this seems like the logical and sane way to take it. But this is the CM fandom on social media, so naturally they did not handle it well. They are now harassing him, calling him a bad person, unfollowing him (whatever), and imploring AJC and her husband to do the same. They are also telling him that he is no longer welcome on CM. This whole madness just got me thinking about how awful it must be to be a celebrity. I mean he has a fairly sizable presence on twitter with around 53k followers, but that pales in comparison to so many other people who must have to deal with this shit regularly. Anyway I just wanted to share this lunacy with all of you as a reminder that you really are the best of the bunch.
  7. I don't necessarily think the part about apologizing is true, particularly when it comes to family. I'm sick and exhausted and just flipped out at my sister (who is visiting from out of town) for no reason and 10 minutes later we were laughing. She knew I didn't mean anything by it and we obviously know each other well enough for an apology to be unnecessary.
  8. That would only work if he were a regular. I don't think an actor that recurs as infrequently as he does can get fired, he just won't be asked back. Even if he was a series regular, with the amount of legal trouble he has been in recently he is in no position to request anything.
  9. I don't think it would make much sense for Will to be the mole. By definition it really needs to be someone who works in the FBI and specifically, in the BAU, otherwise there's no way for him to actually be a mole. Not to mention we haven't seen that character in about two years. Maybe he's in the Erica Messer mystery doghouse with Jane Lynch.
  10. To be fair none of the characters ever dress like that, though I would love if Garcia's dress found its way onto the show. It really says something when a dress that inappropriately short for the workplace is more professional than anything she's worn in years.
  11. Eh, it looks like all the others (minus season 1). I'm not about to overanalyze it and really, I just can't bring myself to care about a DVD cover.
  12. Right but this show has also never done the "optics" of killing male main characters either, unless you count the off screen death of Gideon.
  13. You beat me to the punch Saje. While I agree this conversation is much better suited for The Bullpen, there's no denying that most of the discussions on this board are circular. They generally come back to: JJ sucks, EM sucks, or MGG/Reid is amazing. I've learned at this point not to put too much stock into what any show runners say. I know the people on this board think EM is the as bad as it gets, but it's not. I know that's kind of a crappy way of being optimistic but there it is. With regards to a potential crossover, I say no. If BB goes beyond the first season then maybe, but let the spinoff stand on its own and prove itself first. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing some of the characters make cameos, however. I hate the Chicago shows over on NBC but the one thing I do enjoy is seeing how seamless the cameos are. It's clear those characters exist in the same world and live in the same city. My only concern is that it wouldn't feel effortless, so to speak. That these characters from BB will be awkwardly forced into scenes on the mothership or vice versa.
  14. Couldn't agree more with you Daniel about what I want to see in season 11. Part of me thinks we'd be lucky if we see just one of those changes. Although for some reason I'm feeling oddly optimistic about next season. I certainly don't think we're going to get early seasons CM but I can't help but get the feeling EM is kind of picking up on what some of us want. I think the fact that they're not replacing JLH with another regular character is a good sign. Finally that revolving door can stop and the writers can hopefully refine their focus back onto the core 6. And let me say again how much I liked Kate and JLH. I feel the need to mention this every time I talk about the actress or the character to prevent a certain poster from twisting my words.
  15. I agree that the people on this board tend to analyze the show on a deeper level than those posting on Facebook, but I can't imagine the writers or the network care about what the "smarter" fans think. They are more likely to care about what the majority of fans think. This is a business and more fans (particularly in the demo) means more money. This may be a stretch but it's similar to voting for elected officials. It doesn't matter if everyone in the country with an IQ of >150 votes for one person if the large majority of others vote for another candidate. Majority rules. And no, I'm not trying to make any sort of statement on our nation's government.
