  1. The fire episode was so bad. There are no words as to how badly written this episode was. One of the worst episodes of the series. They were all just sitting around on the staircase of a burning building - having a discussion - instead of, I don't know, leaving the building. The stupid kid somehow is able to get back into a burning building to a floor that was above the fire. He just happens to find the letter sticking out of a box. Nobody once bothered to say to him that Ben gave him an extra year with his father. Apart from a lot of problems with the plot and direction, the acting wasn't even very good. It was like they weren't even trying. Nothing surprising in the final. I already knew the kid turned into Gideon. I assumed things would change because they wouldn't leave Jen or whatever her name is, dead. I never thought she was much of a character. If she had stayed dead, it wouldn't have mattered. We all knew she wouldn't. They just couldn't leave the Ben and bland Addison story alone. Now they're leaping through time together? Great.
  2. I was just thinking that it might be an interesting story if they brought Debra Pratt and Donald Bellisario's daughter back again. She was on one of the original episodes - as a small child who could see Sam. She could play the same person 30 years later - or whatever it is.
  3. I don't know what the dates are. This show is bad about telling us about what time Ben is in. When I saw the bad guy walk in at the end - the one with the stupid name - I thought it was Hannah's son all grown up. However, I don't know how old the kid would be now. Only idiots would give themselves a name that stupid. It could be made up. Hannah did comment on how smart the kid is and they built that contraption together. I agree though, it is strange that with all the information in world at their literal fingertips, no one has bothered to see what Hannah is doing now.
  4. When Ben asked Addison to be his hologram again, I imagined myself throwing my remote control at the TV set. This was such a poorly written episode - most of which has been spelled out in earlier posts. Does anyone know why Morgan had a witch's hat in her shop? Does that mean something apart from being part of a witch's wardrobe? This show seems to be directionless. They finally got rid of Addison - which wasn't working. She is easily the weakest link in the series. Then they put her back. Which now goes back to my theory on how this show will end.
  5. This episode left me speculating that Ben would leap into a situation to save Tom's wife.
  6. I am unhappy about Magic being an alcoholic angle. It wasn't a necessary plot point and it just sets him up to fail. Then we have to go through his recovery. I'm not interested in the lives of the people back at the base or at the very least going through their personal drama. TV shows can't seem to leave addictions alone. The characters end up relapsing and then the viewing audience suffers. This episode reminded me of when Sam had to go through the Watts riots.
  7. I don't remember seeing a date in Hannah's episode, but wouldn't she be really old or possibly dead in the current time?
  8. I like Tim Matheson, it was good to see him on TV. Aside from that, this episode just dragged. It was almost excruciatingly slow. Tom is the bad guy. Or will be at some point. Holy crap Tom is boring. They put the two least interesting people together on this show. Addison and Tom. The Boringsons. I was glad to see Ben dump Addison's ass. He's right. It needs to be remembered that it has been 3 years for Addison and just a couple of leaps for Ben. It's a very fresh wound. Otherwise, I don't always know who these people are talking about.
  9. Can we speculate on how they are going to end this series in this thread?
  10. i spent most of the is episode thinking "F you, Addison". "Only I can help him". "I can't leave him in there alone". Why are you still on this show Addison? They gave us no closure on Hanna's future. Did she contact the university? Was she a pioneer in her field? Did she just have a fulfilling life not being a waitress?
  11. Every time I get my hopes up that the show runners realize that a character is a waste of screen time, they pull the character back in. It's almost like they do it to mess with the people who don't like the character. They didn't learn from the original show that Sam should never have had a wife. In this show, they plop a non-working relationship into the leaps.
  12. I was going to rewatch Eureka. I went to Peacock and it was gone. Does anyone know where to watch it now?
  13. It seemed odd that Oliver didn't want to fix his tooth.
  14. I don't know if I missed something somewhere, but Joy suddenly moving in was kind of a wth. Where did that come from? I have always liked Andrea Martin. I was happy to see her when the character was first introduced. After this episode, I hated her character. She was kind of over the top nutty - especially about the fish. I no longer saw what Charles liked about her or why he would want her to move in. I did like the white room scenes. Somehow, they reminded me of Steve Martin's earlier work. Today, I was thinking about the two wild and crazy guys bit Steve used to do with Dan Akroyd on SNL. Charles looked so happy to be there. He really needed to escape reality.
  15. The one thing that crossed my mind when Ruby and Isla were in the water - Isla is a mermaid. There shouldn't have been that much of a struggle. She could have turned into a mermaid and game over. Why didn't Isla just turn into a mermaid and take off with Ruby?
  16. I thought this was a dumb episode. The only part I liked was when the cat dropped the giant gift on the doorstep. I was relieved that they didn't turn the cat into some studly love interest that never turned back into a cat. Otherwise, cat lady picked up a guy on the first meeting, brought him home and Ruby is calling it "love energy". This was more of a "look what the cat dragged in" moment. Not a lifetime commitment. I always like to see Dr. Linda show up on TV, however, this plot was a total miss. At the end they decided to terminate a lifelong friendship. They couldn't just spend less time together? Also, the one woman telling the bullies that she didn't care what they think was a really weak resolution.
  17. I never cared much for the Anthology of Interest episodes.
  18. Human Resources got a second season? This surprises me.
  19. It's not a good sign when one character tells you that another character is going to die, and you think that's fine. She doesn't add anything to the series anyway. The actress was so bad in this episode with her unconvincing screaming. I have never liked asylum episodes. They are always a save somone from the electroshock therapy and a deranged Dr. I find these episodes too creepy. I don't remember the asylum episode in the original series, but I also think that a lot of people who were put into these institutions weren't crazy. The woman he was trying to save was put there due to "hysterics", apparently. I have to add, I'm referring to a comment up stream who mentioned that Some of the inmates could see Al.
  20. I re-watched this episode last night. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it the first time. I noticed that when Sheriff Tom was standing outside, at certain angles he has a strong resemblance to Jarad Padalecki. I was still confused by the shootout. Some people start shooting at each other, then someone accuses Calian of shooting someone. I didn't know who was shot until they showed him at the very end. I'm pretty sure it was Francis who died, but I thought it was the former sheriff at first.
  21. By the end of the episode, I was wonder why Addison and Ben are together. Do they have anything in common? They don't have any chemistry. After she screamed my initial thought was "That was terrible". I don't know what the other workers name is - who works back at the lab. She was whining. "Why did you trust Janice over me"? Shut up. It's just business. Go do your job and stop complaining. Donald Belisarius is producing this thing. I don't know why he didn't stick with told formula. That worked. I noticed tonight while watching on HBO, that this remake only has a 66% audience score. For the most part it was just Sam and Al and the leap. Every once in a while, we would get a glimpse of the lab - not a bunch of scenes with a lot of whiny drama queens and bad acting. I did like the leap. If I hadn't read this forum, I would not have understood that part of the cover up was the manufacturing of how people died - because, at the end, I didn't understand how he saved everyone from their unrelated deaths. I get if now.
  22. I thought Abby was pregnant in the first few episodes of the series. But there was never any confirmation. Although, I thought there was a barfing scene in an earlier episode. Just from a dramatic series standpoint, bringing children into a series can kill it - unless we never see the kids and they don't have any plot points. I don't think they belong in this series, so maybe they will wait until the end.
