  1. So Kramer is just Government Cicada? At least she's gone now, though Joe was way too nice to her at the end. The trial was silly, but at least it had some consequences to Cisco's ridiculous decision to create a metahuman cure and then give it to the government. That was destined to go poorly. And he messed it up further in the episode with another reckless stunt. I like Cisco, but I hope he learns from this. So the Speed Force was evil after all! Or rather too detached from mundane human concerns like compassion for enemies. Guess Barry should have mentioned some of that stuff while they were bonding earlier...
  2. First impressions are important. Nancy spent most of the first season convinced Ryan was a murderer (of two different women), and he did in fact cheat on his wife with her underage friend. On the other hand, she barely knows Celia, and the little she does know is based on an amnesiac version of her. She's probably convinced herself that she can be that person again with a little effort from her side. This I don't know. I suppose they're going with the cliché good girl falls in love with bad boy plot to set up Nace later.
  3. That might be the least of their issues, since it seems like reality is breaking. Seems like the perfect piece of tech for a colony ship. Say they find a planet they like, but there's just one little problem with it. They just switch over to a timeline where that problem doesn't exist anymore on the planet. He could have seen it crash into the sea and decide to investigate. It didn't seem all that far to me, I could conceive of kids living that close to the ocean diving that deep regularly. Seems like he got messed up by a Debris and then got put back together somehow.
  4. Tobias getting way too big for his britches now. I'm eagerly awaiting his comeuppance. That scene where Lynn was cavitysearched was way too raw for the usual CW fare, even for this show. Almost had to wonder if I was on the same channel. "JJ" might be even more reckless than Jen was, weirdly enough. That argument with Jeff about her IG page was an amusing superhero spin on the normal social media talks parents have with their tech savvy kids. I love how public the League is in this timeline. They're even doing online recruiting now. 🤣
  5. This show is really starting to find its groove. This was another great episode. I guess cribbing from Fringe works wonders. Even the scenes with Maddox and his wife, which I thought were kinda dull before interested me today. Seriously, that was the oddest discussion of divorce I've even seen on a TV show. The scenes where Bryan was just cycling through partners while Shelby just looked increasingly done with the whole thing, including his endless collection of new brothers was surreal. It even managed to mix in a bit of the previous style of the show in as well.
  6. It's exactly because he's fragile that they can't push him too much. If he breaks down talking about what he doesn't want to talk about, that's just more trouble for them. Satellites aren't that convenient, if they didn't have any overhead, there's nothing they could do Bryan destroyed all the footage at the Influx base.
  7. She didn't have that convo while they were in a gunfight, or when they were running for their lives. She waited until they found somewhere to stay and things had calmed down somewhat. When else would have been a better time?
  8. She's probably just grasping at straws to find any Desert Rose she can. As for sending Ocean, he has extensive experience in Gotham, unlike her other minions. She probably didn't even think he'd involve himself again with Alice, the woman that murdered him just some weeks earlier
  9. Well yeah, the music was a part of it, but the part at the beginning with the woman running around in that abandoned plant and then killing the Influx guy with the plastic bag gave me heavy Fringe vibes, not to mention Finola's dad reminding me of Walter.
  10. The best episode of this series to date, I think. I like how things came to a head with a ll the lies and double dealing between nations. The actors also did a better job than they usually did, especially Bryan. Honestly reminded me of Fringe. Bryan was outside in the car keeping watch on the entrance. Some other team will be by later to sort that out. See above, they didn't have time to go digging through all of that before another unit arrived.
  11. I really liked the look of Akashic Valley. Very futuristic. Khalil is pretty standard for a protagonist thus far, but I think we could see some interesting storylines from him. Boy, it takes a special brand of evil to hijack people's brain to mine Bitcoin. It must run in the Odell family.
  12. It's always good when TV shows how point out how inherently horrible for profit prisons are, as well as how vulnerable places like community centers and the people who advocate for them are. Black Mask is such a piece of work. Gets Jacob hooked on Snakebite and then brings him his next hit right to his office without him suspecting a thing. Damn. Alice has gone from Gotham's most feared woman to the newest member of it's Lonely Hearts Club. Just about everyone can see through her bullshit now though, which is nice. Crows fail at even the basics of law enforcement yet again. 🙄 Angelique has a point not trusting those bozos. Alice gets her blonde out of a bottle. I can understand her reticence at wanting Jacob's help, since she's just afraid he'll turn it into a place that does all the things that made made her start a clinic in the first place.
  13. I mean, she did some stuff and knows some influencers, so... Nancy must have panicking all along in that scene (based on what she does later) but pretended to be fine so her dads wouldn't worry even more.
  14. This episode really felt like a one hour trailer. It was odd that the whole Triad thing that we saw in commercials got handled so quickly, but there is this supernatural plot to cover for it. The brother felt way too reckless to me and the team forming up was a little too pat. I really loved the representation here, I could cheerfully give the show a watch just based on that. I'm interested to see how the show handles itself after this. Seriously? That's just a horrible take. The guy was clearly squeezing protection money out of them. The debt went from 50,000 to 100,000! That's not even getting into how he beat up their dad and threatened to kill them to take over the restaurant, or has been doing the same with everyone else in the community! The lesson is no loan sharks. If she had borrowed from a sketchy loan place, they at least would not have tried to kill her. It's a perfectly normal restaurant of the kind I've seen all over the place. Less drug lords and loan sharks are always good. I agree on that.
  15. I think they're doing OK. Walker's not a monster, he has his good points but you can see the seeds that will drive him bad.
  16. Supernovae are the last stage in a star's life cycle and this episode was about elderly people coping with being in the same stage. All the episode titles have referred to the episode's content in some way.
  17. From a real world perspective, they probably just wanted to make it easier for the viewers to see the video as well.
  18. Not uncommon, some people just really don't like watching videos on a tiny cell phone screen.
  19. Another great episode. The amnesia plot was good, Tunji Kasim played amnesiac Nick so well. Nancy showing her inner Hudson by gassing her grandma into losing her memories and then just dropping her off with Ryan like she had her for the day and was giving her back was hilarious. This weeks monster was done so well, I personally think it was scarier than the Igleca. Liked the whole Forgotten god thing too, plus the way they used social media to kill it. Can't believe a troll farm was used for good. Surprising absolutely no one, Grant is Ace's brother and he's here looking for help. I just hope he isn't evil. Ace doesn't need that energy in his life right now.
  20. In terms of modern spycraft lingo, surveillance almost certainly means that someone entering her room to place listening devices, monitoring software like keyloggers, etc or inspect her electronics, especially since she isn't at home right now. Fair enough, though I suppose he thought it didn't matter. Bryan thought so too, as you can see from his reaction.
  21. One of the best episodes in quite a while. I loved seeing Cisco get some new material other than the stupid Mecha-Vibe stuff and his friendship with Chester was excellent. It was so nice seeing him just geeking out with someone. Team ChesCo for the win! Chester was fantastic as well. He needed to get some more fleshing out and by God that's what he got. That scene where his dad was teaching him how to dumpster dive and Chester realized the idea he had of his dad all these years was wrong was some great acting. CW has mastered the art of the time travel episode, though I guess they must have practice from Legends. They must have also had a bet going to see how many references they could cram into a single episode too. I laughed at Iris inviting Speed Force Mom home and Barry looking for all the world like he wanted to tell her to sleep at Star Labs. 🤣 Killer Frost going to get herself into trouble soon.
  22. An interesting chance of pace this episode, seeing regular folks use the debris for their own ends. It's very in line with what Influx were saying. I hope the show leans into this more. I also like the show was willing to go back into making the morality of our leads suspect, after framing Influx as more villainous last episode. All of the debris have had effects that could be highly beneficial if controlled properly. This is simply the first time we're seeing someone actually succeed at using them that way. Except they actually do. After what we've seen so far, it's safe to conclude that the alien vessel was a long range colonizing vessel. They have suspended animation, tech to reverse aging, tech to create clones, tech for long distance travel, tech for terraforming, Even the phasing tech from the pilot would have applications in mining.
  23. I've said this about this show multiple times, but really, what are the writers smoking and where can I get some 😂 What a jam packed episode that was. Veronica literally making the same mistakes as dear old mom by marrying a facsimile of dear old dad, and Betty dating a dude that's obsessed with serial killers, just like her brother, who actually happens to be her brother's ex-academy rival. I mean, what are the odds? Hiram segues into full supervillainy by blowing up his own prison, and then sicking the escapees on a parent teacher conference. Like hell, even Dr. Eggman would sideeye that shit. Archie getting involved in shady Army plots and then fighting like he's in Uncharted or something. Jughead taking a trip on the oh so aptly named maple mushrooms and having visions of Betty (who surprise, surprise, he's not really over) and said vision getting interrupted by an alien visitation by Mothwoman, who took him home and kindly wrote his book for him? Cheryl taking a huge L today, first her maple groves heard she was cheating on them and decided to stop putting out, her grandma trafficked them and then decided to use human sacrifice on her new girlfriend (hey show, can you let this girl be happy for just a sec?) Juniper and Dagwood fulfilling their destiny as the Mulberry Twins ,and then Uncle Charles and Chick coming home for a visit to play Pin the Tail on the Human Oh, and Uncle Frank was there too, I guess. This is why I watch this show. No matter what anyone says, where else can you find such condensed madness on the air?
  24. This was hands down the funniest episode of this show yet! The humor was incredible, with all the slo-mo shots, Hannah changing into the bride's dress right behind poor unsuspecting Nick and Nancy having to be quarantined for the safety of the men in her life 🤣 I'm not really feeling Nancy with Detective Tamura, because he has to be at least 28 or so, right? Too much of an age difference, despite their similar hobbies. Poor Ryan got played again, though his mom was probably feeding the reporter, so the man was being bombarded on both sides without even knowing it. Bess and Odette were cute together, though I don't know how they'll work that out.
