  1. Except it was not such a priority that they it needed all hands on deck. Nxy was not immediately causing an issue right then and there. Even Kelly mentioned that in the episode. No one is saying abandon the search for Nxyly, but at least send someone over to take a look. Especially when Kelly was raising the alarm that there was something going on there that conventional science couldn't explain. If for example, Brainy had spared a few minutes to go down there, they would have figured out the issue with Rankine much faster than they did. I would appreciate this argument more if Kara hadn't already made a commitment to be there for those people just earlier.
  2. On one hand, Dig seems to have put that whole thing away based on everything he's said over all the Arrowverse shows. On the other hand, worlds await. Time will tell. The show never said that. As you yourself pointed out, one or two folks could have been diverted to go to the hospital. Kara just some episodes ago, made a commitment to do better for those same people, that's the least she could have done.
  3. Wow, this was quite the episode. Making Yolanda think she sent Henry to burn in hell is one hell of a twisted way to break her. Seeing her guilt and suffering just keep ramping up over the episode was heartbreaking. She didn't deserve that. Now I'm really feeling worried for poor Beth. I haven't seen an on screen Catholic self-flagellate like that since Charles Cox. Yolanda and Courtney were keeping this a secret from Pat. Undoubtedly. Then her parents would get involved, which she understandably wouldn't want. They probably want the same thing as before, Yolanda going to school and back, no friends, no church, no social life.
  4. They could have divided their resources more efficiently though. Was the entire team necessary to go look for debris? Couldn't Supergirl or Dreamer have put in a little facetime, especially since she was literally just doing social media blasts about how important the people there are and helping out Orlando, not to mention the fact that she bears some culpability in the building's collapse. It was Rankine, which contains all the letters for Karen. It wasn't just Kara and friends either. Andrea was more interested in covering traffic than a building collapse.
  5. Wow, Eclipso came and he did not disappoint. I feel sorry for Isaac, kid had literally no dog in this fight and he died because Cindy lied to him. Hell, I even feel sorry for Cindy, she didn't deserve whatever hell she was dropped into. Mike has a serious point though, with all the kidnapping he could use a STRIPE of his own. Maybe Zeke can put a flaming chainsaw on his 🤣 Really? This show is sunshine and rainbows compared to some real dark stuff.
  6. Aside from obvious backdoor pilot-ness of this episode, I get the feeling it was aired out of order.
  7. A great episode, with Josie calling out in everyone in Riverdale for their shit being a particular highlight. I especially liked how she just straight up told Hiram he was a little bitch. He deserved that. I had completely forgotten about Jughead robbing Pops or Cheryl sending Josie a pig's heart (why?) but it's good that Josie didn't let that slip on by. I howled when Betty was all "Let's save Riverdale together!" and Josie just replied that they didn't even talk in school slow your roll. Seeing the Pussycats reunite was amazing. It's so weird to see young adults on this show who actually have their lives together, not the spiralling mess of the Core Four. I would really love to see a show where Josie and the Pussycats tour the nation, and get involved with weird voodoo stuff. Please make it happen, CW!
  8. For me, the issue was not so much Bill's gaffe with the Nazi salute, but how his lazy, privileged way of dealing with the issue escalated it far more than it needed to go. All he had to do at the start was sign the HR letter, lay low for a few weeks to a month (and use that time to get his shit together) and that would have been the end of the matter. But he refused because he thought the students would "smell the bullshit", so he goes up there and gives a insincere apology and guess what, the students smelled the bullshit and the whole thing went from bad to worse. Bill is the reason it became such a big issue, no one else. Literally everyone warned him about it too, but he ignored them because he felt he could just snap his fingers and make it go away.
  9. Sportsmaster and Tigress have been promoted to series regulars, so we'll be seeing them again
  10. I actually appreciated that Ellen didn't magically become a better person after a few weeks away. She's still fucked up, but at least she has some ability to realize that about herself now. That's pulled from the headlines plots for you. I will suppose that the flood probably hurt some folks who were already hurting though. Who knows? Worse stuff happens in real life with some disturbing Zoom fails, so all I did with this reveal was laugh. Where would the CW be without drama? Ditto. Guy was already going to far with the Sarah thing last week, it just escalated. I can fully understand wanting to leave Corinne, but this revenge thing where you steal her kid from her? That's just disgusting.
  11. This is a case where the need for drama on TV outweighs what's the right thing to do, I suppose. I didn't read that scene as Sarah threatening to have him arrested so much as if he punched someone on a public road in broad daylight he was gonna get arrested regardless. She said that to him after Danny had already walked away and the situation was already calmed down. The same thing happened with AJ. This group of friends seem very ride or die for each other.
  12. That's not how I read the incident with Adam, Danny and Sarah at all. Adam was the one who almost escalated things to violence on first sight and Sarah was the one that shut that down for both their own goods and she even made sure to tell Adam that she was on Corinne's side in this incident. I get why he feels this way, but once you're at the point where you're trying to control who your SO can meet, that's the stage where you need to let the relationship end imo. Danny did bring this on himself, but he seemed very apologetic when first confronted. His tone only kind of changed when Adam threatened violence. I wonder if Maya's mom is going to end up moving to Greylock or if this is the end of this particular plot? Grover is really becoming the standout of this show. This. She really shouldn't have done that in a public place. Perhaps she wanted (or was even advised in rehab to) avoid going to his motel room since she was already told not to return or use Sarah as vehicle for a meeting, but surely there was a better way. She seems to be trying to fix their relationship in private but amongst others her attitude towards him hasn't changed much so I'm not sure if she's simply keeping perspective on him or keeping things private or simply fronting to her friends.
  13. I don't know anything for sure, of course, but Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart broke up in real life, so that could be a factor.
  14. The context is different. Yondu feels guilty about Peter since he kidnapped him to get killed by his father like all the rest of his siblings, so the relationship took on a different note because of Yondu displacing those feelings onto Peter, what with the threatening to eat him and such. No such feelings there with T'challa who made a good first impression on Yondu by acting calm and talking about his desire to explore. This is fair, but I imagine T'challa told them about being a lord, and what with the part about him traveling through space the name stuck.
  15. People seem to think this way, but if the two of them are really against it, can it still be done? I thought Archie was cautious about Chad using the infidelity to strengthen his case in court re: the divorce.
  16. Wonderful premiere! Courtney and Mike being hyper into the superhero business makes sense. Doing something that really has an impact can be addicting. Again, Beth needs better parents. My heart goes out to that kid. She's trying so hard but her parents just...don't care. Normally this is where a kid would act out but Beth just tried harder instead. God bless that child! Speaking of God, it's good that the show remembered that Yolanda is a practicing Catholic. It's really something so rare to see on Tv these days. The Brainwave thing is really weighing on her. Rick and that teacher though. I wouldn't do another test like that either, that teacher was out of line. Pity Rick's uncle is trash so he won't stand up for him. I'm interested to see where this Grundy thing is going to go. And we finally have a Green Lantern on the CW! Sorry Dig, you were too slow off the mark to be number 1. This is why you don't ignore the Guardian's calls! Is it just me, or should Pat and the rest of them just have gone on the vacation and left Courtney some money to feed herself or something? Girl's old enough to fight crime, she can survive 2 weeks alone, right? To be fair, they'd have to take down the wall to seal that door. I think they've destroyed enough school property for one year.
  17. This show is always so great! I love that they delving into what gives a small town its character and identity. It's always the people living there that make a town what it is. Edge's dad must be the nastiest ex ever. He actually put himself into poor Lara's grandkid. That's a nasty form of revenge. Poor Jon. Guy was just having a good day for a change when this happens. Not only is his brother gone, he's gonna feel guilty that this happened because of him. Let this boy be happy, show! Pretty sure they're 16-17, but yeah, their stupidity is so believable it hurts. Sam was too injured to shoot and if someone has to hold that thing, better it be Jon. Whoever it is, hope they're not in Barry's secret prison. Though Iron Heights doesn't seem like much of an improvement... Based on how Superboy works, he may never be able to . Lois would rip him a new ass if he told her that.
  18. Immigration policy is way too complicated to be boiled down into a single TV episode, so I'll give them a pass on that. I mean, did you see the scene where they showed the sort of stuff that was made it into the art show? There was actually a photo of a flower of a vase! And they had the nerve to call his art tedious! Nice to see her doing something that wasn't related to Sarah or having an affair.
  19. To the surprise of absolutely no one at all, Danny and Corrine started cheating. I mean, really, they were emotionally cheating for a while now, it just moved to the physical. Grover saw it and tried to head it off, but alas, it was too late. Danny's confession about why he left Corinne was pretty heartfelt. Luke Mitchell is good at scenes like that, I think. I really like that the show dipped its toes a bit into the idea of black therapists. There not being a black therapist for 100 whole miles for Grover to talk to felt very real. His reluctance at accepting the therapy was as well. I like it was AJ that helped him with that.
  20. It's not her fault, but it doesn't mean good things for the country itself. Her brother will support her for a quid pro quo. I don't think Maya's a brat because she upset she nearly got deported, but she's clearly not 100% Team Sarah anymore either. Sarah seems to feel guilty about it, so she should really leverage that to get some stuff passed as soon as possible.
  21. Sad to see Corinne lost, but I guess there would be no point to a 5 person council if Sarah had 3 votes locked in. This arrangement has a lot of potential for future storylines, since Sarah is gonna have to compromise a lot more to get anything done. That Farnsby lady is annoying, but she's likely the best politician we've seen on the show (including the actual state governor) so Sarah should watch herself. AJ's relationship really imploded there. It was sad to watch. I get what you're saying but awkward word choice aside, he had a point about Sarah basically running the country without any oversight. She doesn't even listen to anyone who isn't her friend, family member or student.
  22. Someone in the writer's room must really like Power Rangers... The speedsters arriving in a flash of lightning, Godspeed's whole Rita act and the clones were basically Putties. They must have been saving their budget for this, because the action was pretty good. The lightsaber duel was a great highlight. I howled when Barry schooled Thawne and told him that he just plain outranks him now. I had no idea Bart's actor had any singing experience so I was floored when he started singing. He's really, really good!
  23. Whoa, John went full-on Laughing Magician mode this episode. This almost felt like it could have been an issue of Hellblazer. I don't dislike the lighter Constantine this show has created, but seeing some classic stuff mixed in was very nice. It was also great to see OZ (can't believe no one thought of that before now) Zari around, though I do wish the joy would just bite the bullet and keep both Zaris around instead of this back and forth. Pregnant Mick continues to be a hell of a thing.
  24. You can't counter emotion with reason. These people are angry and scared, of course they're going to gravitate to blaming the nearest person that they can and that's Kyle and Lana. It doesn't matter what they say to defend themselves. Maybe once people calm down they'll change their minds.
