  1. Within the greater context of the conversation it was really wrong of Logan to bring it up, especially since this is a conversation he created when he decided to be cruel to Kendall on his birthday even though he has no intention of letting him go. I worry this too, as Logan amply demonstrated this episode, he is no great respecter of women. Can you imagine how Logan would react if one of his kids happened to be LGBTQ? This one was actually the worst because it was lower key than the others. Some people might think it's Connor being wacky again, but the way he deliberately proposed in public in a situation where Willa is dependent upon him for travel? That's horrible. I swear, Connor would strand her in England if she said no. She was likely thinking that too. This is not the first time we've seen Logan weaponize this to traumatize Kendall when he thought Ken was getting too big for his britches. Logan knows it's the perfect weapon so he'll always use it. Makes me think this is the actual reason he covered it up. I would believe this if she ever actually tried to parent her kids. I'm more of the opinion that she allowed because it would get her semi-permanent access to Logan's money without being married to him. We've seen her use the kids as leverage to get things out of him before. This was at the tail end of a conversation where they were sniping at each other, so I don't really see it as an apology. We see it happening in this very episode. Logan hurt Caroline, Caroline turned around and hurt Shiv and Shiv turned around and hurt Tom.
  2. I say this every week, but damn the Roy family is so messed up. It's a family of serial emotional abusers. The worst thing is that they won't even let you run away from them. Kendall finally getting the idea and trying to get away from these people and Logan guilt tripping him by reminding him of the murder he helped cover up. Caroline was so right when she said that Logan likes kicking people to see if they come back. It's disgusting. I almost vomited in my mouth when Logan called himself a revolutionary. The way he literally used his own grandkid to test for poison to screw with Kendall's head was especially nasty. Caroline and Logan have been divorced for decades and the man is still slithering around in her life. Showing up at her wedding with the 20 something assistant he's having an affair with is so gross. Even her own fiance was more interested in hanging around Logan than he was with her Just when I was actually feeling sorry for her, Caroline actually blamed the kids for going with Logan.. She really thinks Shiv being 13 means she was actually making any sound decisions. And for real, is Shiv's nickname something her mother came up as a guilt trip?! Shiv then gaslighting Tom into making him think he was being manipulative when she was playing around with him by telling him she doesn't give a damn about him. That chat about the embryos was chilling. Connor being creepy and doing a public proposal when his girlfriend is literally stranded in England with no way away from him is manipulative as hell. He doesn't even hide that he's doing it for political points for a campaign that's going absolutely nowhere! Roman wins creep of the episode by continuing to send dick pics to Gerry even though she was telling him to knock it off. The worst thing is that he really thinks it's cute or a joke or something. it's absolutely crazy that I thought he would fall from grace because he screwed up the Mattson deal, but he actually saved it (sorta) then screwed himself over by sending a dick pic to his dad. That poster from last week was positively prophetic. And then Shiv rounded things out by being a real piece of garbage and trying to use Gerri as leverage to screw over Roman. Shiv has no scruples at all, she just puts on the show. And then that cliffhanger! The way they shot it so that you couldn't be absolutely sure if it was ripples or bubbles was diabloic!
  3. It would have made more sense if they had brought up Savitar, since that would explain Barry's fear of becoming evil and how the future had changed from what it was supposed to be, since that had happened before.
  4. Ewan said something similar, that Greg doesn't take himself seriously, which he really doesn't. This episode is a great example. It's great that he got a win, but he's still going out on a date with someone who will go to work the next day to write a hit piece on him, not to mention the fact that half the reason she seems to be doing it is to get back at Kendall. I mean, that's not the actions of someone with any self-esteem. Greg was working at a theme park in episode 1. Logan is an absolute piece of garbage, but he wouldn't let his kids do that, if only because it would reflect badly on him. Ewan has no interest in Greg at all and never did, except when he can use him as a weapon against his brother. She's in a co-dependent relationship with Ken
  5. Jeremy Strong deserves an Emmy for this episode. This could very well be the best Kendall episode ever. From the cringy birthday party filled with the cringiest stuff ever, his convo with his ex-wife, his siblings crashing his party and his dad just mindfucking him again and him losing it when he realized he couldn't find his kids present. 😥 Seeing him just wade through that pile of meaningless stuff unable to find what he really wanted and breaking down because he realized this entire thing was pathetic and just wanting to go home before Roman got his final digs in, I really felt for him. Speaking of Roman, he was super trash today. The Logan in him was really showing. He finally felt like he got the leg up over his sibs and he decided to kick them while they were down. Where was the Roman who refused to sign Shiv's letter? Roman was more awful than he ever was. I can't believe he thinks having people spy on his niece and nephew is an okay thing to do. Tom was really feeling his oats today when he he got the news of his freedom(?) It's so telling that he waited until he got to Greg's office to really let loose and celebrate. Then that forehead kiss! And Greg telling him to prove his boasts about his sexual prowess! The show needs to put up with this pairing for real. Greg was the only winner tonight really. He got a date! It'll end horribly because of course it will, but still! And Tom's jealousy immediately harshing his mood!
  6. Roman is into the fascist for the same reason he's into anyone. He's likes being humiliated or mothered. Mencken scratches the former itch, From a political and business perspective, Roman really doesn't care, he just wants to pick the edgy choice that will impress Dad and set him apart from old fuddy duddy Shiv Right? I mean, really Shiv, where did you think you were working? I kinda want to see what Gil's reaction would be.
  7. Some takeaways from this episode. Tom and Shiv's marriage is on life support. Shiv is willing to seek comfort from Tom, as last week's episode showed, but she is totally unwilling to extend the same to him. She cannot even bring herself to be concerned about the fact that Tom is losing his marbles over the fact that he's going to prison very soon. She dismissed him and then went for sex just 'cause. This was compounded by the continuing horror that is Tom's no longer clandestine breeding program. Please show, just put this shambler of a marriage to an end already. Me being a foolish person, I thought Greg was joking about suing Greenpeace, but good God, he's actually doing it, which somehow leads to him being the new far right darling of the month? Ewww. I will say that scene in the diner where they're kinda trying to joke off going to prison but they're really calmly losing it was amazingly done. Kendall spiraling again. You just hate to see it. Guy is just now realizing that this whole rebellion thing he sank all his marbles into is not going to be as smooth a sail as he would like it to be and he just decides to get rid of his lawyer when she tells him the unvarnished truth for once, something which rarely graces the ears of a Roy. Probably a good thing that she got out of this shitshow sooner rather than later. Please do the same, Jess! When he called Tom, I was really afraid he was gonna do another unwanted entrance, but Thank God it was just a secret diner meeting. I was howling when Tom just came out and told Ken that he's a loser who's failed to take down his dad already, so why the hell would he put his ball in Ken's corner? Roman has always been the type to hide his shittiness behind his 'I don't give a damn" demeanor but him simping for this Mencken dude is a new low, even for him. I knew Shiv had no principles, but her actually trying to be decent only to fold the instant Daddy called almost made it worse than what Roman was doing. Caroline actually managed to win the shittiest parent of the parent of the episode reward by not telling her kids she was getting remarried. If this leads to a wedding episode where they all just crash the party, well... Also, Logan and Kerry? Damn it Logan!
  8. Another great episode. I loved how Nancy was lowkey interested in Ace and Amanda breaking up, as well as how anxious she was when Carson was making a fool of himself at Jean's house. She was less scared of literal demons! At least some good came of it, since Ryan picked up a new hobby he always wanted to try and Carson and Jean started dating. This episode was also a bit of a Nace primer to me, since the way is clear for them now. Hope the show doesn't keep us waiting too long. Fun fact, the clothes Riley and Scott were wearing were homages to Motocrossed and Party of Five, which they starred in around 20 or so years ago.
  9. Exactly! I knew that this was some weird dream thing, but I could legit see this actually happening in real Riverdale, somehow. I loved Jughead doing his Rod Sterling impression! Cole Sprouse looked like he was having so much fun with that. The scene where Cheryl ripped out Archie's beating heart and everyone just started dancing to the beat had me bowled over. This show really makes me laugh sometimes.
  10. Sometimes I wonder why this show goes to so much trouble to keep Alice around. Then we get episodes like this one. Alice was on fire today, every move she made was just capturing my attention, she was chewing that scenery like it was chocolate. She wasn't the only one either. Poison Mary was everything I hoped she would be and more. Just an electric presence the moment she appeared on screen. And so competent too! She caught a Black Glove operative in a day, played Montoya and handily outmaneuvered Ryan and Luke along with dragging them like a sack of potatoes! I'm really liking this new development with them and I'm looking forward to see where it's going.
  11. Kendall can actually be a good businessman when he's not in his own way. The problem is that he's not part of the business right now. He's trying to finagle deals with and using his family like he still has access, but he doesn't and it shows. Shiv on the other hand is wildly unqualified to succeed Logan (because she doesn't want to put in the work), but this episode showed that she might do better on a board seat where she doesn't have to focus on the day to day stuff.
  12. They're probably trying to get folks who watch the other shows up to scratch.
  13. Shiv actually sorta earned her salary today and all she got for it was Logan dismissing her like she was a mosquito and Tom confessing to tracking her periods. Ouch. First time I've felt sorry for Shiv in a while. It's ironic that with no Logan to try and meddle with and no scandals to milk, Kendall was just...there. Ineffective as hell. Logan got him back at the end with that classic Logan "He already left" bit. Roman was also like a shadow of himself too. Normally his irreverence has an almost spunky quality to it, but today it felt pale. Maybe his heart wasn't in it. It's telling that he was literally the only one in the room that was really worried about Logan's health. Poor Greg. You were working in a theme park my guy, your grandpa was never going to give you shit. He did give him some nice advice about taking himself seriously but suing Greenpeace is not the way to go.
  14. It's a criminal shame how much this show is being slept on by people. It's just awesome. Did they say that the utility workers know nothing about it? It wouldn't actually surprise me though, especially in a small town. I actually got the impression that Ace did trick her, she just acted like it was part of the plan to downplay the whole thing.
  15. I thought people were upset because she didn't let anyone know she had been to Italy and was just mingling among them.
  16. I try to be positive about the shows I watch, both to enhance my viewing experience and because I think there's too negativity in fandom. Criticism has a role but it should be measured. I really do try to make optimism my byword, but damn, this season finale made me work for it. I suppose even the writers thought the Lex/Nyxly thing was contrived and dull, because they swept that out of the way to deal with what they really wanted to do; the wedding! the callbacks! Which I have to say were very nice indeed. I forgave the episode a lot when I saw Cat Grant. I've always enjoyed this show and I am sad to see to see it go. Farewell, Supergirl. The show was flirting with Kara becoming more authoritarian but yeah a step too far there. I was laughing when Lena again tried her hand at messing with the minds of everyone in the world. Remember Non Nocere? I assumed she just jumped with an extrapolator. I'm gonna assume she meant she should have been a public superhero since Day 1. That was nice indeed, the game nights were some of the best parts of the series in general really. I choose to believe he saw the writing on the wall and conjured up some fake Phantoms to make a clean getaway.
  17. Connor had his knives out today! I particularly liked the irony of Shiv saying Connor couldn't expect to come in and be handed a high powered job when that is exactly what she wanted (and got). Seeing her get disrespected every which way was just hilarious. She needs to get a clue "This is the quick way but sometimes it takes longer" I nearly died of laughter when I heard that line. When Logan was saying all that nice stuff about Kendall, I couldn't help but think how Season 1 Ken would have responded and felt a little sad. Too little too late, Logan, Tom seriously thinking about how to make moonshine out of prison toilets. This man is gonna flip and Shiv can't even muster up enough care about him to realize it.
  18. First Mary's graduation and now this party- why are all events in Gotham cursed with cheap free bars?! Is there some sort of liquor shortage in Gotham?! The PR guy must have had a hell of a time dealing with Bruce, he really came for him at the end there. Poor Luke could only sit there and take it. Ryan/Sophie is moving at breakneck speeds, Sophie's dreaming about soup now! With a flower! I know Marcus is too old to be grounded, but you don't need to freeze the kid alive, Jada! They're no Court of Owls, but it's cool seeing the Black Glove Society on screen. Sophie got tied to a chair again. She's got to hold the CW record at this point.
  19. Logan def thinks he's safe as houses. That's probably why he was somewhat pleased Roman stayed out of it. He's already planning on serving Shiv up as a martyr. He must have been dying with laughter inside when Tom came to him with that offer. It was unintentional on his part, but I think avoiding the show was in hindsight a good move. It wasn't going to end well for him and he can always use the excuse that he stepped away because of the FBI raid. Like all the Roy kids, her competency drops the closer she is to her father. Just because her family plays at being well bred yuppies doesn't mean she's unschooled in the sort of stuff the Roys get up to.
  20. The town hall was almost seemed to me like a vision of Shiv's future, she's gonna give it the old college try, but the noise will just get in the way despite her best efforts. Her reaction to the whole thing at the end was telling too, she started it this episode, but I don't doubt we'll see Shiv plumb some truly nasty depths this season. And Kendall, the way he was obsessing over those tweets and that host who was insulting him...This guy needs help. He's an emotional black hole that's just latching on to anything that gives him any stimulation, only to crash at the end. This too, will likely be a recurring pattern with him. Logan in his own super shitty way, puts some value on family loyalty (not that he can reciprocate in any healthy fashion). You can tell that he's actually looking down his nose at Shiv for what she did.
  21. It's so odd that despite Riverdale residents known weakness to cults, it's Cheryl's run of the mill nature worshipping that they turn their stink eye on. I've been known to wear some questionable outfits before, but if I went to a fancy restaraunt with my f=girlfriend's parents dressed the way Jughead was, my girlfriend would have killed me.
  22. Blue Valley is probably a 90%+ white town; it would make sense to tie Beth's sense of being an outsider to being Black from Eclipso's point of view.
  23. We've never seen Axe take a really solid loss the way Chuck has, so it would be a good change of pace. Axe on the run would also make it easier on Damian Lewis if he wanted to take some time off from the show. Axe's team literally discussed it. They believed it was all about the optics, no one thought they were actually going to be doing much of anything, just that it was there to make Prince and the cannabis lady look good. It's pure ego, like everything else with him. Part of the plan to take down Axe. In order to get Axe to accept FYC's money, they needed the Supreme Court to be more amenable to legal cannabis.
  24. The Watcher was vibing so hard he wasn't paying attention. 😂
  25. Again, Nxy was not doing something right that very minute. They could have diverted some people to go to the hospital. What's the point of having a team if you can't do that? If they had deigned to stop by they could have figured it out. Considering how quickly he figured it out when he did take an interest, I can say it's a strong possibility.
