My friends used to mock me (playfully) for buying multiples of things I love but now they do it too. I go extra crazy at Costco because you never know if they'll have it next week. I have 6 pairs of my favorite Danskin leggings, some still with tags, waiting for winter. Costco has had them the past few years but I don't want this to be the year they don't and I needed more.

I have no idea what clacking sounds or disappearing pages you're referring to. Sorry.

I use Ad Block Plus (free version) on my laptop and for this site only, I use Duck Duck Go's browser app on my phone and mobile devices. I have zero ads on this, or other sites.

I have a job. It happens to fall under the stereotypical "career" umbrella but to me it's a job and it's certainly not what I thought I'd be doing when I was in college.

I just went to preorder the new RBG stamp and noticed they don't charge for shipping but do charge for handling. I looked because I remember you sharing that you were being charged for shipping. I bet they renamed it "handling" because, like you said,they're already going to your house! 😂 I'll pre-order because I can't be trusted to remember to go to the post office and don't want to miss them. I don't collect stamps but I want them to use.

I probably would have had some smart ass remark* before saying never mind, making sure he read it (by replying or unmatching) and then unmatching if he responded. *Possible remarks: I have to help my friend bury a body My friend can only pretend to be me for so long (w/ no other context) My identical hand twin needs me to cover their shift My Magic 8 Ball told me to I just unmatched with someone on Hinge. It started out fine, I liked his photo of him with Neil deGrasse Tyson, he asked if I was going to see him the next time is here (topical), I asked about his photo, then he went on a rant about NdGT's trolling undermining his message and work. Yea, NdGT is problematic but slow your roll, dude. You're choosing to spend your money and time supporting him. I didn't respond, waited 2 days, he didn't initiate any other conversation so I unmatched. I don't need that sort of energy in my life so soon.

It was. I just looked up their menu and they still have the sandwich (it was a BLT which makes it even odder) and it lists it now. Given what happens when I eat pimento, it's something I would have asked to leave off if I knew. Mayo, please. They include pimento cheese dip with their appetizers, I knew they had it, but never in a million years would I have expected it to be used as a spread on a BLT. Thankfully, my allergy is not life threatening but the 12 or so hours after were not fun.

Congratulations! "Too quiet" is so vague. It could be anything from the volume didn't come through on their end (if it was virtual) and you were literally too quiet, to not asking enough questions, to a culture fit (peppiness / talkativeness). I'm sure you'll do great on your next one!

Yep! I just finished Matthew Perry's autobiography (it's heartbreaking but completely worth the read) and he talks a bit about it and why it failed.

I don't yuk on other people's yums but my peeve about pimento cheese is that it was so prevalent when I was in GA that it would be used as spread on various "southern" sandwiches without being indicated, which wouldn't be an issue other than the fact I'm randomly allergic to pimento. No other food allergies, just pimento. Just say what the spread is!

Aaron Sorkin is known for the "walk and talk". Snappy, smart dialogue while walking. To be clear, MMM is not a Sorkin show. The West Wing is, and, while dated, it's still one of the best series to have aired. I'm still bitter Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was cancelled.

Add me to the "liked it" list. I like Daryl as a character so it was going to take a lot for me to dislike the show. I thought they said there were multiple kinds of walkers, including the new "burner" type. That was creepy. Were they doused in acid? An experiment gone wrong? I'm looking forward to next week!

I really enjoyed the series. It can be "a lot" but if you have Prime and the time, I think it's worth the ride (and time).

You're welcome. The site organization does make topics hard to find. It is random. I like to point out topical threads (if I know they exist) in case people want to do a dive into a specific topic (or don't know the thread exists, because of how the site it organized). I went from apartments to a townhouse to a single family home. I don't think I was fully prepared for how much things would cost but I'm also feeling really empowered as I learn how to DIY (thanks to YouTube). My next project is to replace the gutter downspouts on my patio cover since they are leaking at the connectors and joints, and sealant isn't working. They're narrow and replacing the downspout with a wider one will help accommodate the rainfall and also allow me to add a longer output at the bottom which will hopefully stop my patio from flooding. On the topic of topical threads, there is also a home improvement thread. The gardening thread will be useful as I figure out what plants to plant.

For those who are Costco fans, they usually have a nice selection of licensed merch for local teams. I got an official NHL licensed "jersey" style hoodie for my favorite hockey team at Costco for $25 or so. Hell, even Target has licensed t-shirts and hats at "Target prices".

I live on the edge but if it has been safely defrosting and is still mostly frozen and cold I'd pop it back into the freezer. You can safely refreeze meat and fish as long as food safety has been followed.

People who don't look at schedules and book meetings when required people are blocked out. I'm a huge fan of "tentative" and propose new time with "I'm actually blocked at the original time, everyone shows free, here" as the note. At the very least, reach out to people if your meeting is urgent to let them know you have no choice but to book over other meetings.
