  1. It makes complte sense to me. 2023 me cringes at the things 1990s and early 2000s me liked, supported and found acceptable. I guess this is growing up. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Old Navy to shop their new "jeans and a going out top" collection. It's seriously a category on their site.
  2. @JTMacc99 look under the couch and anywhere it could have rolled under or in between (side of refrigerator), is there space next to the stove? Look in the bread bag, in the produce drawer, in the lettuce bin. Look in your work laptop bag, in your car (under the seats), wherever the dog food or treats is stored.
  3. I had a Ninja air fryer and it was amazing. I found it was very similar to oil fried food. I regret getting rid of it in lieu of an multi-function device. I'm going to buy another on black Friday or when I find a good deal.
  4. He doesn't need to be active. His account was either hacked and had photos lifted to create an imposter account, or isn't locked down correctly and photos were lifted to create an imposter account, or they only took his profile picture to create he imposter account. Obtaining personal information once they have access (via the acceptance of the friend request) for nefarious use.
  5. Wonder if his account was impersonated? It sure sounds like it was. Best for you, and him (and anyone else who received the bogus request) to report the account.
  6. Climate change. Storms will continue to get worse and impact locations that rarely saw that type of weather. It's not too late, yet, but, without global cooperation things won't get better. More and more cat 5 hurricanes creeping further and further north. More and more cat 5 tornadoes. More and more fire and drought. All we can really do at this point is start obsessively watching The Day After Tomorrow and prepare for the worst.
  7. Double check your local locations and you may need to contact a few different businesses since they tend to be independent and services vary. In my experience it is a service they offer. With the pandemic dry cleaners started offering services beyond pressing. Some even do laundry for you.
  8. Take them to your local dry cleaner for pressing service.
  9. What about an external drive? Best Buy has a 2TB Western Digital external drive for $68 (not on sale) and I am certain there are better deals to be had with a search more extensive than my 2 second "external hard drive" Google search.
  10. My mom has an ancient iron and I'm worried because there are no safety features like auto shut off. Thankfully, she doesn't iron much anymore.
  11. Did you sign up for the plan to take advantage of those rates? Every utility company I've been with that offers lower rates after 7 requires enrolling in a specific plan. The downside is energy rates during the day are higher so it's never a good plan for people who are home all day.
  12. Thanks for this! I'm actually looking for a legitimate WFH side gig and this would be right up my alley.
  13. Does anyone else play "try to make my utility bill less than the previous month" or "make it less than the estimated bill '? I'm on track to beat the initial projection by $30 😀
  14. Considering PETA is essentially a terrorist organization who wants to eliminate the use of all animal products AND Vital Farms has not lost any of their certifications nor has this so called animal cruelty made it to the media (it would be a huge scandal for Certified Humane and B Corp) I have no reason to believe this lawsuit is anything more than rage bait.
  15. I buy eggs from Vital Farms and other Certified B companies. If I knew someone who sold eggs and could guarantee none were fertilized, I'd buy from them. I don't think too hard about eggs when I'm not at home. It's a futile effort to get my parents to switch it up to humane eggs.
  16. I didn't catch what they were doing with the walkers in the lab but I recall World Beyond working with walkers in a lab and I feel like there were parts of it that took place in France? I don't mind the lack of walker action. We know they are there, and a threat. It doesn't need to be all walkers all the time. Overall I'm really enjoying this series, the scenery, the new characters, and even the villain. Every series needs a villain who is going to villain and I want to know how and why Darryl ended up on that boat. I loved the circus. Leave it to Paris to keep the arts alive. Except for the nutty professor and his horrifying orchestra. That was disturbing. I couldn't tell if Isabell's ex was actually Laurent's father or if he was being cruel because he's a dick (or because she left him behind). I do see him becoming another villain and he is 100% going after Laurent. I'm fine with kids on these shows but I really don't need a season of kids in peril or Darryl and crew being chased by Isabell's ex.
  17. Regular AMC app was doing that too. I was finally able to watch the live version via the regular AMC app. I'm glad it wasn't just me having issues
  18. I saw Barbie (2nd viewing) in IMAX yesterday and it was just stunning.
  19. My friend put in a rogue washer dryer that didn't require "real" hookups. She said it was life changing.
  20. I just go to my CU and they'll print off 4 or 8. That was awesome when I was moving a lot and I still have some from before 2017. Now that I'm settled for hopefully, awhile, I may order some fun checks from one of those flyers. The downside is that I'll end up with enough checks that my great great grandchildren would be able to use them (if I planned to have kids or grand kids) since I only write a couple of checks a year.
  21. "Duck Duck Go" mobile browser is the way to go. I'm disappointed that the feedback I sent to the site owner was completely ignored. So now I see no ads and my experience is way better.
