  1. Yep, that was one of her three wedding dresses. Girl should have wanted to re-shoot the reunion based on this alone. How embarrassing.
  2. Clearly, it's just a preference on female empowerment. Personally, I would love to imagine the world if more 53 year old women were able to say "I have great boobs and I love them. I think they are perfect". Especially 53 year old women who had their own, natural boobs. Or loved their ass. Or their legs. Or their hair. And they were not afraid to be able to say that they loved something about themselves. Instead we live in a world where women lament every perceived flaw. Measure themselves against impossible standards and feel "less than" because of them. I don't want people running up to me in the street to tell me how great whatever they have is. Or starting every conversation with it. Or reminding me about it constantly. But I would love to know they think it and aren't afraid to say it out loud for fear of what society might think of it. Because women should keep quiet about being proud of themselves. I would kill to hear my beautiful daughter, who struggles so much with her weight (and always has) and feels badly about herself in every conceivable way, tell me just one time that she loves any one thing about herself. That anything she has is perfect. Or the best in the world. That she believes she has the best smile. Or the best skin. Or the best hair (she does have the best of all of those things). I would cry tears of happiness if just once she would say any of those things, and hope that someday she can be confident and strong enough to do just that.
  3. I am hoping we get small glimpses of that even with no re-shoot. They had all heard enough before the final nail in the coffin came down last week to know this was not going to end well. People in small villages with no internet knew this was not going to end well. Most everyone knew this was not going to end well. Small glimpses of triumph from the rest, but nothing really over-the-top. They cannot come across as gloating too much, even though they will want to jump up on the couch and scream that they were right at the top of their lungs. And that Lu was wrong. So very, very wrong.
  4. Of course he has. Not sure what is so hard to believe about any of this. The whole point in having folks speak off the record and remain anonymous is so that one can try to keep their hands clean. They both no doubt have folks who speak for them, although Beth is very likely to just speak for herself. Just like Lu and Tom both have people giving different stories to different outlets about their deal. Trying to be very subtle in some cases, so as not to be obvious. If you just trash them left and right, it becomes clear where the information is coming from. So you just throw in some digs here and there to control/confuse the narrative. That is how it is done.
  5. Absolutely they are re-editing. I can also see them adding a separate interview with her. A one-off, after the fact kind of deal. An update they can include so it all looks more timely. I don't really see them gathering all the gals together again, having them get all dressed, sit in the same venue, just so that they can get the real story out of Lu. No need for the others to be there for any of that.
  6. Maybe my memory is off, but was Carole the one to originally label her ass as "great"? I could have it slightly wrong, but I thought it was Sonja who made the comment, followed by "no wonder George Clooney did her". Then it became a thing. Folks were talking about her great ass. Over here, we talked about her great ass. Folks on the Bravo blogs talked about her great ass. We talked and wondered about Clooney, though she didn't sit around talking about it. She might have answered a question or two, but she was hardly running around bragging. So then the next season she talked about her great ass in her tagline. Because it had kind of been decided that this is indeed what she had. I certainly didn't see a situation where Carole was running around desperately trying to convince the world her ass was great to appease her giant ego. But going along with running commentary.
  7. JMO, but I think there is a huge difference. Bethenny was already getting a spin-off. She has said she called the producer immediately after peeing on that stick to let him know what was going on because in an instant, her life had changed and what was supposed to be a show about a single gal trying to make it in the world of business would not be relevant. True, she has said that she had doubts leading up to the wedding but felt compelled to go through with it and put the doubts to the back of her mind, but she didn't concoct a relationship for the camera. That is what some are accusing Lu of doing, which is an entirely different thing.
  8. Exactly. Does it translate into jealousy? Probably, even if they aren't willing to do the work. I am jealous as shit of my SIL's body. Girl is a size two and strong as an ox. She also runs everyday. Every. Day. Even after being up all night drinking. And does yoga 3 times a week. She is committed. I am not as committed, but am still jealous, which I will freely admit. And lazy.
  9. Or maybe lust. She had the same look in her eyes when she was drooling over the pirate. Or maybe she just actually fell in love with him. I will never believe the entire thing wasn't initially for a storyline. For all the talk of Lu being so popular, the season before wasn't so good for her - save for her glorious "uncool" moment. She came off looking badly to some because of her very public war with Carole. She looked very petty. Then the next season (which was last season), she didn't get the contract she wanted. She held out for weeks, and finally settled for a "pay for play" contract. Which can be lucrative, but only if you are filming a lot. Which means you have to have something going on. Something that involves as many other people as possible. The more people involved and interested, the more you will be with those people, interacting/fighting/making up with those people. So she lands a guy that has a connection to both Sonja and Ramona. I can suspend all kinds of belief for this show. We all can and do. But asking me to believe that a beautiful woman like Lu cannot find a man in NY that wasn't on the show the first season hitting on Ramona and her friends, and didn't date two of her co-stars is just a bridge too far. Way too far to believe Lu when she said she never read any of the press about Ramona dating him before her, when it was reported like crazy only 6 weeks before. Way too far when one of Ramona's friends happened to be there when Lu first met Tom at that bar when he was with another woman. It was so obvious from the very beginning that this was all about creating a storyline. But maybe she fell in love along the way. Who knows? Bethenny said on WWHL that it was "personal" and she didn't want to be involved. But Beth saying this didn't surprise me this time...it surprised me when she said it after the season ended last year. She said "now it is personal". I think they all knew that it was a plot line device that Lu had cooked up, which was why Beth went off on her in The Berkshires when she pretended to be unaware that Ramona had ever dated him. But at some point I think they felt like perhaps she had actually fallen in love with the guy. But then again, maybe not.
  10. She does move on, but I do think stuff bothers her. Or concerns her. According to Heather she was very upset the season she was demoted to "friend of". The others rallied around to make sure and include her in everything so she didn't miss out on filming opportunities. Because of this, she is very well aware - in a way the others are not - in the fact that her apple can be taken away from her.
  11. I just don't see Carole as someone who is relying on praise about her looks. Not at all. She seems very comfortable in her own skin, her own clothes, her own apartment, her own relationship, and she doesn't seem to give two shits about what others think of her, or any of the other stuff. I loved at her b-day party when she was proud to be turning 50 and spoke of how sad she thought it was that others thought it not something to celebrate. You go girl.
  12. Since when? I have never heard this before. Not that it would make a difference. I am not friends with any of them and I thought it was made up for a storyline. Yes, but Shannon blamed Vicki for her weight gain. Most people, if having to make a choice, would say that it is much more likely that Shannon's marital issues contributed to her current weight struggles, vs. Vicki. Does that mean that Shannon can never be believed? To keep her apple this year? Because she thought she would get a wedding spin-off? Because she knew the divorce would help her keep her apple for another year?
  13. Yea, the line of folks who suspected that is really, really long I think.
  14. I don't think they will reshoot it, but they are probably going to seriously edit it all over again. Especially if they are pissed, they are going to spend more time on the Lu/Tom saga than they might have otherwise. And perhaps loving any opportunity to catch her in a lie or being less than forthcoming. Loving the fact that she might come across looking like a bigger fool than she already does to some.
  15. It might just be the way that I look at things, but I think there is a big difference in finding a way to forgive a dalliance when forgiveness is requested, and having your dude tell you that he intends to fuck around and doesn't much intend to ask for forgiveness or attempt to reign (or rein?)in his behavior. I would not put up with either, but understand that people certainly work and repair a marriage after infidelity. Agreeing to the other thing is a whole other thing. And if it if your thing, then go for it - I don't intend to judge. My point is that while it might not have been her idea, I think that Lu was probably just fine with the situation. And my impression is based on watching Lu for years. The gal likes to have fun, likes to play around. We have seen that she isn't particularly faithful and has a big sexual appetite.
  16. The RO happened in January. Still a lot of school left for little Bryn.
  17. True, but wasn't Lu doing that thing where she pretended that she not only wanted more children, but that she could actually carry them? That was so funny. I don't get the deal about putting up with an open marriage for the kids. Who would do that? It is just hard for me to believe unless it is gratifying for each, which I think is more likely the case. Lu can say all day long she didn't actually want an open marriage, but just went along with it because she is such a good sport, but I will never buy it for a minute. I think she loved being married to a very rich older dude who was gone all the time doing his own thing, allowing her to also do her own thing. Still had the money, still had the status and the lifestyle, all the while getting to bang pirate-like dudes left and right. A pretty good gig if you can get it.
  18. There will always be folks that want to see one of the HW's unhappy. That is just reality. Lots of folks will do a happy dance if Bethenny doesn't come out on top in her court battle. That is just the way it is. I don't necessarily want for Lu to be unhappy, but she was always going to be unhappy (if it really was love and she really did want a commitment which I am not convinced is the case) because she was marrying a guy that even her friends were telling her was wrong for her. He had proven his character and she looked past it. If it was love, she was destined to be unhappy at some point. You cannot on one hand be the kind of gal that meets a guy for the first time when he is out with someone else, leave with him, and be shocked to find out that he is not the marrying kind. You cannot love the fact that you "won" when he picked you over all of the others, and then be shocked to find you "lost" when he continued to behave in the same manner he had behaved in before. And yes, she can deny he was cheating. Maybe he wasn't, but I find it hard to believe she would admit that he was. Because then everyone really is right. No one warned her that he was just hard to get along with, so better to go with that story Although I will give a secret chuckle if Bethenny ends up being right and the dude really didn't have any money. I always believed she knew what she was talking about when she said that. And yes, I believe Lu would run to the press. And I believe he would too. I think you will hear all kinds of competing narratives as they both try to find a way to make the other look bad.
  19. Or banging a pirate on vacation and trying to cover it up later. Or falling down drunk in bushes. Or shutting your eyes to the fact that the dude you are marrying is a total and complete d-bag, as every single person around you is screaming. But I guess shit happens. I actually hope they don't gloat. They look better if they do not. If there are winners and losers (well, clearly there are and Lu is a loser in this scenario), the gals end up being losers if they gloat. And Lu ends up winning, looking like a victim. They will want to gloat. They have every single right to do it. Loud and proud. Have t-shirts made up, take out a billboard. But I really hope the don't do it. Give us a snarky remark or two, but don't go nuts about it.
  20. Exactly. IMO, the biggest news in the RO is the fact that he has to stay away from the school. Hardly shocking that it would include Beth's residence or her business, but Bryn's school? That was the big reveal. Were it not true, surely we would see him taking her to school just to show it wasn't true? I realize that some think he is just completely uninterested in doing anything to ever clear his name because he is just a great guy who doesn't want to bring any publicity to himself. But damn, the dude would have to want to counter the narrative that he was not allowed at the school if it were coming from Beth or her camp and it was not true.
  21. Yep, that's what I thought I remembered. No Bethenny, no SG, so no big cast trip. Just a last minute trip to Miami.
  22. So the question was as to how Lu would spin it. She has decided to not go with the cheating route, because everyone warned her he was a cheater. Instead she has settled on the fact that they did not get along. That it was "impossible" and that they had worked on it so hard. It's only been 7 months. How horrible could it have been, and how hard could they have worked?
  23. If memory serves, they were filming a reality show last season. And the vacation totally rocked. Oh wait, they didn't have one last year I don't believe. Unless the Lu thing counted. If it did, then the reason for the vacation was Lu's silly engagement. Just like the reason for this one was SG.
