If and when Wilson do get back together. I would like Sonny to drive story instead of reacting to Will's latest crisis. I think Freddie has proven with this storyline that he is a leading man. I would like him to get involve with the kiriakis side of business with his 3 brothers. It would be cool to see their dynamic with Justin, Adrienne, Brady and Victor. Perhaps, Sonny gets involved with some shady business that threatens his family and he has to go all Kiriakis on somebody...Sonny needs to be a bit darker..Not EJ dark, but just enough to make him more interesting and cause conflict with Will....Sparkle should be a Dimera, since these writers lack imagination he will be John's son..It would be cool to see him at odds with Sonny because of Dimera/Kiriakis conflict....

I think that they will explore Paulson. I want Will to have somebody as well..I don't want him on the sidelines watching Paul with Sonny. Will should be alone for a bit to suffer the consequences of his actions. He took Sonny for granted and broke his marriage vows. I want Paulson to get together for a while, just so that it can backfire on Paul..I want him to realize that he is Sonny's second choice and not Will...I want Will to grow from this experience and become a better man,son, father and husband. I don't understand why Lucas is helping Will with this scheme to get Paul out of town. He should have tried to reason with him. Will is the problem in his marriage and not Paul..I wish that Will had somebody to tell him the ugly truth about himself..All of his life, he has had people enable him and I include Sonny in this as well..I think it might be guilt on Lucas' part for using him as a pawn in his many wars against Sami...They really did a number on him..I remember Chandler's Will telling Sonny that he always moving around from one location to the next, due to his parents many wars...He never really had a home. There was a fragility and sadness with Chandler's Will and I can see why Sonny wanted to take care of him and love him...

Speaking of Gays on other shows, I loved Kish on one life to live..They were so awesome and three-dimensional characters..They were not treated as Saints just because they are part of a minority group ...Ron is a hack on General hospital now. However, he got those two right. I also loved Bette and Tina from the L word...Those two were hot..They were trashed as well with out of character behavior just like Wilson...Bette/Tina remind me so much of Will and Sonny...

I agree in theory with your post. However, they were not allowed to have a bit of happiness, before the contrivance that is Paul Narita slithered into town.... I loved Bo with Hope, Carly and Billie because each relationship was unique and respectful to the history of the characters... Each woman entered Bo's life at different stages in his life....It was organic therefore much more beautiful. Whereas Wilson's problems make no sense whatsoever...

I don't think Sonny would go back to that type of relationship with Sparkle. Too much has happened to Sonny for him to revert back to type of relationship. Sonny is his own man with responsibilities. I think when Paulson reunites, they will be miserable together because their time in the sun has passed. Sometimes the fantasy is much better than the reality...Plus, Sonny is in love with Will and not Paul. Paul would be foolish to get back together so soon with him after he breaks up with Will...He would only get hurt in the long run....

I would not put Sonny in the same category as Rafe. Sonny was considered a co-parent to Arianna from the moment she was born by her parents. He has been financially responsible for her as well. Sonny is the head of the household and that is an awesome responsibility. It is not going to be easy for him to walk away from Ari. Will teaches Ari to call Sonny daddy. Whereas Rafe, was always a stepparent to Sydney, Johnny and Allie because Lucas and EJ were active participants in their children's lives. Rafe had more of a father role with baby Grace when he was raising her with Sami after Nicole had switched her with Sydney...Sonny and Rafe are not in the same boat when it comes to their spouses' children...Sonny cannot legally take away Ari from Will, but, he has a moral right to see her. I don't think Will would keep her from him.. I would like the show to resolve this by having Sonny formally adopt Arianna Grace..Even though there is a custody agreement by the parents giving Sonny guardianship of Ari if they die. I don't think that would be enough to protect Sonny, in case a blood relative of Ari wants to get custody of her.

I have to say that I have to congratulate the show for portraying 3 gay men in a love triangle. Including a gay man of color. I don't think this would have been possible 10 years ago for us to see sex scenes and kissing scenes between men. I was so sure that Wilson was going to be put on the back burner after they got married, only to appear occasionally as window dressing on the show. I am happy that I was wrong. I remember how Luke and Noah got marginalized years ago on as the world turns. I am happy that was not the case for Wilson.

I complain a lot about the writing for Wilson. The only thing that they did right by them is the fact that Arianna is Sonny's daughter just like Will's. So sparkle better be careful how he talks about her to Sonny. He might alienate him if he uses biology as a reason for Sonny to not have a relationship with her. She is her daddy period. Both her biological parents wanted Sonny to have a role in her life. I hope the show have Sonny adopt her to solidify his role as her other dad. Even if Wilson were to divorce, I dont see Sonny walking away from her. I want sparkle to get with Sonny only to realize to his horror that he is a placeholder for Will and Arianna. Lol it would serve him right...If will is with someone else, it would be refreshing to see Sonny have some competition for Will. Will has had to contend with Brian, Brent and Paul.

We have all said that the cheating storyline should have been for Sonny and not Will..That is why I hate the storyline for them...Will is so insecure, he would have never done anything this stupid to jeopardize his marriage to Sonny...This is a deal breaker for a man like Sonny...Even if he takes Will back, he will not trust him again...The funny thing is that most people hate this cheating storyline on this forum and on other forums that I have frequented in the past..This storyline is an epic fail and has diminished Will and Sonny..It was poorly conceived, written with no satisfying payoff in the future...

Why did he show up at Sonny's and Will's house at the end..That is totally inappropriate..I don't think he is obsessive, but more entitled and overstepping his bounds. I like the actor that plays Sparkle...It would be cool if he came in as a friend for Wilson instead of a spoiler..I have always felt that Wilson needed gay friends..It was very jarring not seeing any gay people at their wedding last year. I understand the show not wanting to scare too many conservatives with too many gay people on there. The homophobes leave alot of hate mail on their facebook page..However, seeing Wilson interacting with gay people would be nice..We could have had some recurring characters coming in to spice things up for Wilson..Who knows one of them could have even been a temptation storyline for Will or Sonny....Will could have gone dancing with some friends and he meets a gorgeous guy there and sparks fly..Even though they dress Will like Mr. Rogers, he is still a young man..He should be out and about..Being married with a kid does not mean you don't get a life of your own...Like I said these writers lack any type of imagination to give us good character-driven stories...

I remember reading somewhere that the actors don't really get a chance to rehearse anymore and they don't do retakes to save money. They have to do everything in one take. That is ludicrous to me. The cast of days tape 7 shows a week. That is maddening to me..I have to wonder if that affects the quality of their performances. Even the big stars in the movies and prime time television get to do retakes in order to maximize their best performances. Can you imagine Meryl Streepe working under these type of austere conditions..I think not! James Franco did a stint on General Hospital a few years ago and he was stunned by the rigorous schedule of daytime and the pages of dialogue that these actors have to memorize everyday. He even said that being on General Hospital helped him become better at memorizing his lines...He had a lot of respect for Soap actors and that endeared him to me....I tend to be a bit more forgiving of daytime actors when they don't give a good performance because if that.....I just just wish that they had better writers that respected daytime, the actors and the fans. I like the cast of Days, they seem to be very cool and down to earth...Diedre Hall and Lauren Koslow seem to be very close as well...

When Sonny proposed to Will last year, there was no indication that Sonny had proposed once to another man. When Adrienne voiced her objections to them getting married, she never once mentioned Sparkle. When Sonny talked about his ex that was the most selfish person in the world, there was no indication that there was any residual feelings. There was a finality to it..Been there done that attitude on Sonny's part..There was no longing on Sonny's part. All of the sudden, Paul comes into town and they are having heart-to heart conversations and kissing one another. Sparkle's entire existence has been a plot point from the very beginning...I don't have a problem with Sonny having a past, it is the way that Sparkle has been shoehorned into Wilson's lives. I always wanted an ex of Sonny's to come into town and shake Wilson up, but, not like this...Paulson's supposed love story is forced and unnecessary. Plus, Will is being thrown under the bus to make Paulson more palatable and that bothers me alot..He is a legacy child. It is working based on the vitriol against Will and Guy Wilson. People are saying that Will deserves to burn in hell for all eternity for his indiscretion. Sonny and Paul look good together, so they should be together. No matter how much the writers may write their stupid storylines, I will never believe that William Robert Horton who was hopelessly devoted and in love with Jackson Steven kiriakis would have thrown it all way for a night of passion with a man that he barely knew...I know what I saw for the last two years, he would never put Arianna's family life in jeopardy...He wanted to be better than his parents... It was the same thing with Marina, Steve never mentioned to Kayla that he had had an ex wife..All of the sudden she shows up and starts targeting Kayla to get back together with Steve...I do believe that Steve was still legally married to her and that invalidated that beautiful marriage that they had had the previous year..What a way to shit on a couple and their fans...

Sparkle is a retcon for Wilson, just like Marina was one for Steve and Kayla back in the day. Sonny is still married and he should keep his distance..His mother was right in that he needs to stay away from him. Unfortunately, Will's blackmail scheme is going to push Sparkle to fight hard for Sonny...

I think that we are starting to see the real Sparkle...Plus, he is a retcon that is just a foil for Wilson because the writers lack imagination to write them a decent story. I am loving Will and Lucas together..I like that he is standing by his boy. I know that Will's blackmail scheme will blow in his face, but I love Lucas' support of Will. They have always ignored their father/son bond...I am hoping that Sonny will come back to reclaim his family. I hope we get a scene of Sonny apologizing to Ari for leaving without seeing her..She must be missing her other daddy...

I stand corrected. Sami slept with Both Austin and Will around the same time. Even back then people were saying that Will was really Lucas' son and not Austin's.I always felt that Austin should have remained a father figure in Will's life, even after his true paternity was revealed..They bonded as father/son very early in his life and Austin named him after Billie. I always liked the rivalry between Austin and Lucas over Kate and Carrie. Will could have added another interesting layer to their dynamic...This show never think about characterizations, everything and everyone is just a plot point...

James Scott was very angry and disappointed with what they did to his character and I understand his reasoning for not returning to the Show. EJ and Sami should have been a dark power couple screwing everybody in Salem, except each other..Sami worked as a villainess or anti-heroine, but, never a heroine...It was laughable when they tried to do that with her..Sami needed Carrie on canvas and the show never explored that relationship to the fullest..It was lazy writing to have them revert back to being enemies over Rafe of all people...Carrie should have come back to Salem and join forces with Sami to crush Abifail. I always wanted Carrie to have more of an edge due to her mother Anna. It would have been a hoot to see Anna and Sami bond just like Carrie and Marlena.

To be fair bobcat1946, all his life he has seen Sami's lies and machinations exposed for all to see. That has to hurt to see your mother causing others grief and you pay for it because you are just a kid that cannot defend himself. Sami passed him off as Austin's child in her quest to steal him from Carrie. He was used as a pawn from the day he was conceived and that has followed him all his life. I don't think Will is privy to what Lucas and Kate has done as well. Does Will know that Kate and Lucas put Sami on death row? I don't think he knows the depth of their games like us the viewers...Will has reasons to dislike his mother and Sami has even acknowledged that...

I know that alot of people think that Will shooting EJ was a retcon. That is not true. The head writer at the time said Will was always going to be revealed as the shooter, but, they wanted to delay the reveal until he was an adult to maximize the drama with the eventual reveal. They felt that showing a pre-teen committing attempted murder on-screen would have been too traumatizing and troubling for the viewers. He said all this in a podcast, he also hinted that alot of backstage politics kept him from fulfilling his vision for the show. He loved the vets, and wanted to use them more, but Corday would not let him do so...Corday stifles alot of the writing team that come to write for the show. That is why there is always alot of turnover in the writing department at Days...

I liked his version of Philip as well..I liked him with Belle. He was the one that got his leg blown up due to Sami's machinations as Stan....lol That storyline was awesome..I was watching it the other day with Will the mop head...lol I used to frequent a board, where they gave raven-haired Will that name. I also remember we used to say that Will should be the first gay character on Days.. He and Bryan favored each other as father and son. Even though that actor who played a younger Will was wooden, he gave him an earnestness and sweetness that made sense with Chandler's adult version. I felt bad for him when Kate revealed Sami's lies at her wedding to Lucas and he told his mother, 'you always ruin everything Mom'..I felt bad for Will and wanted him to find happiness away from Sami....His resentment of his mom was evident back then..Even though Kate and Lucas were also responsible for his bad childhood. In his mind, Sami was always the troublemaker and therefore he holds her mostly responsible for his troubled life as a kid....

I can't believe Ken Corday thinks that Daniel is a hero and a worthy partner of Jennifer Horton....He must be smoking something...The real Jennifer would never touch him with a ten foot pole...He needs to take a look at some old episodes of his show in the 80's and early 90's to see compelling and complex male characters like Steve, Jack, Shayne, Justin, Bo, Roman, Victor, Tony and even John back in the day..Dan the pervert does not hold a candle to these men...He is so gross and he looks dirty and smelly.. It is heartbreaking to see Kate with Clyde. After everything that she went through with Austin and Billie's father, you would think that she would be able to spot a snake in the grass like Clyde....I would be happy to see her find out the truth about him and kill him....

I think the reason that Will is having a hard time explaining his infidelity is because it does not make any sense. The cheating storyline came out of the blue and there was no build-up to it, just like the Ejabby hook-up. They have truly done a disservice to the character and its fans. Even Guy said that he hard a time with the script and was perplexed as to why Will would cheat on Sonny...He felt guilty about cheating on Freddie...lol Even the actors were scratching their heads at this plot twist.. The only infidelity story that worked on days was when Marlena cheated on Roman with John. It was well done and you felt bad for all involved in that sordid mess. You understood Marlena's confusion, heartbreak and shame in breaking her vows. She loved Roman, but, she loved John as well. She lived with him for years as her husband, only to find out that he was a fraud and that her real husband was alive. She never really dealt with her feelings for both men and it came back to haunt her...That storyline made sense because it was connected with Stefano's hatred of the Brady family and the games he has played with them...There were long term consequences because it was character driven and not plot driven like Will's infidelity... If I was writing the show, I would have had Will be tempted by Sparkle, but, not fall into temptation. It could have been a way for Will to question whether or not he was too young to get married without exploring his sexuality to the fullest...Sonny is the only man that he has ever slept with and that curiosity for what else is out there could have driven other storylines for Wilson...Will could have even question his love for Sonny, did he love Sonny or was he grateful for his friendship and support when he was struggling with his sexuality and family problems..Was it love or gratitude that tied him down to Sonny..From the beginning, Sonny has had a mentor/mentee relationship with Will and that dynamic has set the tone for their marriage...What about Sonny? why was he such in a rush to marry Will and form an instant family with Ari? What was his motivation? You could be in a loving relationship with somebody without the benefit of marriage. Was he afraid that Will would eventually leave him for someone else? He was not happy about the LA trip and I am surprised that he did not offer to go to keep an eye out on Will..All of these things could have been explored within the marriage of Wilson without infidelity from either party...

I wonder how the show is going to put Sonny back with Sparkle because Sonny is in love with Will. It has to be something big that sends him back to Paul. I don't think Will blackmailing Paul's mother is enough to warrant a reunion between them. The show as usual is being heavy handed in their characterizations of Will and Sparkle. Will is being made to look like a selfish, immature, insensitive asshole, while Sparkle is written as a mature, selfless, good guy. What was the point of creating Wilson and making a big deal out of their wedding last year, just to destroy them before their one year anniversary. It is just disappointing to see. I want Will to triumph whether it is with Sonny or without him. I still maintain that Will would have never done this to Sonny and Arianna. He wanted to be the antithesis of his parents, The writers were able to convey that in the past when Chandler was still playing him..There was so much that could have been done to explore the Wilson relationship without tainting them..I think people on this board could have written better stories for Will and Sonny. I have read good fanfictions about Wilson that explored their dynamic without destroying them as individuals and as a couple. I wish that they would explore Sonny's Kiriakis side, he would be good as a darker character...Justin went dark for a while after he found out about Adrienne's affair with Emilio....Sonny should go dark, while separated from Will and Arianna. Freddie would kill it. He has really shown us his talent in this stupid storyline. Every cloud has a silver lining and Freddie is it for me..He is the only reason that I still watch this show...I still like Will, I am just disappointed in him. If and when Sonny takes Will back, he needs to lay down the law. Will needs to quit his job at Sonix, it has bought him nothing but trouble with his loved ones. Zoe is a bad influence and Will is too passive to stand up to her. A stronger person would have objected to her wanting him to hide his marriage from Sparkle. I wish Jack was still alive and he could have had Will work alongside him, JJ, Stefanie, Victor Jr, Jennifer and Nicole at his old newspaper. How would Kayla react to her daughter working so close to Jack? That could have been an organic way to explore her dark past with him. Victor Jr and Nicole would start having an affair and would fall in love to the horror of Victor. Victor was a great foil back in the day for Bo/Hope, Justin/Adrienne, Bo/Carly, Kim/Shayne. He would be moving heaven and earth to keep Nicole away from Victor Jr. I would also like to have seen Sonny interact with both Jack and Steve. Sonny was Adrienne's miracle baby and she named him after her beloved brothers. I just want the Jonhson family back, minus Duke, they were all so complex and dynamic. They were so awesome back in the day...We got a taste of what could have been and it has left me wanting more after all this time....Sonny's 3 brothers need to be in Salem causing mayhem and interacting with everybody..

Sonny comes back to town on Friday March 20th and has a tense reunion with Will...

To be fair, I do think Will is passive with men in bed...lol Perhaps on special occasions, like his birthday Sonny lets him be the assertive one...lol...I think that Sonny and Will have established roles in their marriage and there is nothing wrong with that...lol
