Don't know if it's producer-driven, but it makes a house hunter look so stupid to say they're going to bump into the low-hanging light fixture.
And the realtor was just as bad, telling them they could get a light attached to the ceiling. Why didn’t he tell the house hunter it was supposed to be centered over a table?! This hurts my brain.

It's completely understandable to think you've moved on, since you're not crying yourself to sleep every night, but when it comes time to actually imagine a new life with a new person, you can't do it. You don't want the new house, you don't want to move hours away, and you're triggered by someone in the same profession possibly losing his life. She's not ready, and she might never be ready. She might be a swan who mated for life. That's okay. Women's lives don't have to revolve around love, she can find something else to do with herself. And she has the Coulters, she has her girlfriends, she has her profession. Not being with a guy doesn't mean she'll be alone.
I think you’ve hit the nail right on the head, because this is exactly where I am, too. My sweet hubby’s been gone 3 years and I’m no where ready to even THINK of anyone else much less go out with one. I think I’m a swan who mated for life. Well put.

Last night’s Smoky Mountains National Park movie was the exact same plot as Pearl in Paradise. But glad to see Arielle Kebbel again.

The wheel is acting funny on my robot vacuum AGAIN. I can tell it's not jammed, I tried doing everything I did last time but nothing. If it's not working tomorrow I will take it to a repair shop and see what's what.
I just love that thing so much, it changed my life.
I just bought my second robot. Not to replace the one I already own, but so I can have two roaming around at the same time (different areas of the house). I’m really not indulgent, actually quite a miser, but vacuuming hurts my back so much and I think I’m worth it.

I live in Florida and I will only live in a concrete block home (because of hurricanes). Laurel is in tornado alley. I would have chosen the concrete block home and paid extra for the drywall. So sad about her mother’s passing. I wondered if she died of Covid.

I finally (FINALLY) caught this one after years of seeing it recommended in this thread. It was such a gem! I love Autumn Reeser, especially as Taylor Townsend on the OC, and her character in this movie was very Taylor-esque. I wish they still made Hallmark movies like this one.
I loved all the vintage clothes that Autumn wore, especially the replica of Jackie K’s famous strawberry pink suit. I read a book about the dressmaker who made that suit and it was fascinating.

Fly away with me: her apartment was unbelievable! It had to be extremely expensive. Was that supposed to be in Chicago? Do they really have an apartment lottery?

Agree that the barrel sink wasn't practical, but it was unique.
I stayed in a resort that had a barrel sink just like that. The water splashed all over it and the bathroom always smelled like wet wood.

I would like to ask a script writer if they wrote a perfectly good script, but because of length restrictions and Hallmark formulas, did Hallmark ruin their script? Did the writers allow that because they needed the money or do they have no say after selling the script to Hallmark? If my script was turned into a dud, I’d want to hide my name in shame.

I forgot that they follow different sets of rules. Oh well. Traditionally the groom's parents pay for the rehearsal dinner so Gil and Kelly can't complain that there could be over 50 people there.
When my son got married, I invited all out of town guests that flew in to the rehearsal dinner. I thought that was the least I could do if they paid all that money to attend.

Anaheim: what a nice young couple. And I liked their realtor, too. He was very knowledgeable and looked so professional. Unlike some realtors on this show that looked like they just got done doing yard work.

Finally got a chance to watch A Kiss Before Christmas - wow, hard to believe this was a Hallmark movie. Best one of the season for me so far.
Yes, I wholeheartedly agree! It’s my favorite movie so far. And Teri Hatcher looked AMAZING!

I did watch this one and enjoyed it. It was obviously a labor of love for Holly Robinson Peete.
To me, it almost was the quality of a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. The ones in the last couple of years which were HOF, were no where near as good.

Doing a sex ed talk at a conservative Baptist church? Yikes.
I can only guess that the clueless writers mistook public school sex talks for non-existent church sex talks??? 🤷♀️
Unless maybe it was supposed to be a school sex talk and they re-wrote it for the cast available (pastors and Peg) due to the pandemic. 🤷♀️In the late 90s our church (Baptist) had a program called “True Love Waits”. I don’t remember the nitty-gritty, but I had to give permission for my 2 sons to participate. At the end of the study, there was a ceremony where parents gave their teens a “True Love Waits” ring. I’m pretty sure the “mechanics “ of s-e-x weren’t discussed (hopefully parents already covered it), but the Biblical belief of waiting until marriage was discussed.

I just watched One Summer. I think it was on this past weekend, but I had taped it. It was pretty good. I kind of like Sam Page’s scruffy look. And I may be mistaken because I was zipping through it, I didn’t see Sam’s character kiss the budding love-interest even one time! (I know he was still grieving his wife).

Fun observation: I was watching an episode of Reba on Hallmark channel, dated 2005, and a guest star was a very young Andrew Walker!

I don't think Carlin and Evan cook at home at all. Probably 95% of their vlog content is just them pulling into various fast food drive thrus. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Panera Bread one of these days.
Then how in the world do they stay so skinny?

I do not understand why these Christmas movies shot in the summer cannot be set in S. Cal. or FL or even Hawaii! I live in in FL and believe it or not we celebrate Christmas. We really do.

Just caught up with the shows I missed. I guess chubby, homely Fundy girls don’t have a chance to get married, at least to these guys.

My husband hated any kind of quilt or coverlet. I had a duvet cover Iiked, so I put it on the bed, without the inside piece. It was light weight and looked nice on the bed.

Hallmark Movies: Small Town Royalty Magically Celebrating Rekindled Love! - General Discussion
in Hallmark Movies: Small Town Royalty Magically Celebrating Rekindled Love!
Re Love and Jane: I disliked the smoky, hazy look in the rooms. I kept wiping off my glasses because I had a hard time seeing!
