  1. I'd be really thin, my house would always be spotless and my laundry would always be done. Oh and I would be zipping around town in a snazzy expensive sports car.
  2. Y is for yearly celebrations. Like the annual Edelweiss and Jarlsberg festival where Uncle So-and-So found his wooden leg.
  3. "The Prisoner" was my favorite AG episode. I also liked the Fun Girls, the episode with Aunt Bee's prize rose bush, and Aunt Bee's Birthday. The look on her face when she opened her gift and it was a set of canning jars instead of the bed jacket she wanted was priceless!
  4. Ok, here's one thing I just don't get. In the episode where we find out Rose is addicted to painkillers, how is it that she is still able to obtain prescription pain pills for a back injury 30 years ago? What doctor would constantly keep prescribing them? And if they were originally prescribed in St. Olaf, how is it that Rose can keep getting them now in Miami? Is her new doctor in Miami (we assume she has one) just keeping on dispensing them to her? I know it's just a TV show, but sometimes the practical aspects are just way too far-fetched. It makes for a funny storyline, but come on...really?
  5. The outfit Dorothy wears when Father Frank comes to dinner was one of her best. A black pantsuit with a sparkly top. So what if she looked like the mother of a Solid Gold dancer! Most of her clothes were too long, too flowy, or too baggy. That one actually fit her.
  6. U is for Uf-dah! The traditional toasting word all St. Olafians say when slamming back their mugs of hot chocolate. V is for Veedenflugen, the quaint custom of being someone's servant.
  7. One of my favorite quotes is Sophia saying "I'm old, I'm supposed to be colorful." I can't recall which episode she says it in though. I use that line now when I talk to my kids.
  8. R is for it's raining! The Drought in St. Olaf is over. The Department of Water and Coffee is glad you didn't send water, because envelopes leak.
  9. M is for Mother's Day. They all had their own unique stories to tell about their previous Mother's Day experiences.
  10. Count me in the Comfort Show Club too. Frasier and the Golden Girls are both shows I love to relax and unwind with. As for love interests, the term "opposites attract" works for Niles and Daphne. I may in the minority, but I actually like them as a couple and was so glad when they finally got together. Niles could be an intellectual dreamer and Daphne with her down-to earth manner could keep him grounded. I think they were a great match. And I think they saved the best for last for Frasier. Charlotte and Frasier made a great couple, she was enterprising, sweet and smart. Frasier would obviously wear the pants in any relationship he was in, but Charlotte could clearly hold her own in that relationship without being overbearing. Poor Martin. I don't think the writers ever found the right woman for him. Sherry was too crass for him and Ronnie was way to young and cute to settle for an old guy like Martin. If she went for an older man, it would have to be a sugar daddy situation and Martin was definitely not in that category. They didn't fit well together at all.
  11. I think the long black dress Blanche wore to go out with Ham Lushbaugh looked great. It was one of her best outfits.
