  1. This is probably off topic, but now I'm wondering how on earth (err...Westeros?) would you pronounce "wight" if not like "white"? Is it my Pittsburghese coming out that makes them sound not similar, but identical?
  2. Even knowing they were renewed, I found myself questioning my knowledge and wondering if this actually was the series finale! I joked to a friend I was watching with that we should have made a callback drinking game. Cause we would have been druuuuuunk. I think my favorite was Ben's look to the camera when holo-Sebastian showed up. So are we going to remain three years ahead next season or will we go back? I would be happy to bypass triplet pregnancy.
  3. I rolled my eyes at the triplets thing, but my favorite moment of this episode was when April told Andy she was glad he didn't tell her because It was such great news. . Moments like that remind me why I love April so much despite her moodiness most of the time.
  4. Isn't Reston a democrat? Is he still in it?
  5. Part of me was hoping Mellie would be a casualty of the bomb so I could finally give up this show. Instead, it looks like a guy she loves who actually loves her is going to die. Fits DOES take everything from her. What a bummer. Beating a dead horse here, but Quick is gross. Why did they use Dominic's hair for the paternity test? Why couldn't they have used David's or Huck's? Was it just a matter of "well, we need to remove trace evidence from the body anyway, lets put this spare hair to good use!"? Also, costume designers, putting Olivia in huge coats makes her look bigger than being 9 months pregnant.
  6. Leslie! Also, drunk Ben is hilarious.
  7. I'm pretty impressed the final round went as well as it did with all of Joel's err, um, passes. I have really strong feelings about Mitt Romney too, but even under pressure I could have spit out "Mormon presidential loser!" 2012 was not that long ago. That one should have been a gimme. I don't know Star Wars either, so I would never have gotten Wookie, though I think I know enough pop culture to get other references.
  8. I've been pretty much obsessed with this since I first heard it. Also, this video has made me appreciate Dany more than the first three seasons and five books, so it has that going for it....
  9. This really bothered me a lot last season. She would be wearing this button up shirts buttoned all the way up around the house and with the family but at work, she'd wear plunging necklines. It was so weird. She dresses like she belongs on Little House on the Prairie. It seems like it's too soon for her to be moving on, but I'm okay with it because Joel is acting like a dum-dum. I always found Zachary Knighton's character on Happy Endings gross and that hasn't really gone away on this show. I blame his hair. It just needs good, regular washing. Of course the charter school got the go-ahead. It was so easy, I don't know why they didn't do it years ago! Whatever. Ready for this storyline to die. The promo monkeys at NBC have been teasing Sarah/Hank for weeks and weeks and every episode, nothing happens. Well, at least last night he finally did something. I like Hank a lot (my favorite character and not a Braverman - coincidence?) and I think Ray is doing an amazing job in this role. He deserves better. I don't understand Jasmine and Crosby's storyline. They've been out of the house for quite a while and their mold issue still isn't fixed? And now they have money issues? Didn't Zeek and Camille get a lot of money for their house? Can't they float C/J a loan so their grandkids can, you know, not fall in a hole when they get up to pee in the middle of the night?
  10. I was not happy with the ending of this show, but I had even more issues with the episode/season itself. Terrible editing and it felt so rushed. Making the whole season a single weekend leading up to the wedding (and we got the first wedding scene in season 8? 7?) was a mistake. The concept would have worked in an earlier season, but there was just too many loose ends that needed to be tied up to keep them sequestered in a strange place all season. I felt like the finale was just checking off boxes of things that needed to be said or done. Are we supposed to believe Robin is "The One" (TM Jack Donaghy)? Nope. Tracy was perfect for Ted. I have disliked Ted for many seasons, but she really brought out the best in him. The finale wasn't about how he met their mother. It was about how meeting their mother kept him in town so he could end up with Aunt Robin 15 years later. I'm not angry he ended up with Robin, but I do not like how they got their. Had we had the whole season to get to know the mom, maybe more time with her sick, more scenes with Robin and the gang after Ted and Tracy's wedding, it may have felt more organic for them to end up together. I will look back on this fondly because even when I was watching out of obligation, it made me laugh and made me care about some of the characters, but it's still a disappointing ending.
  11. There's way too much face-licking on this show. I love Mellie and I swear she is the only thing keeping me watching. I cannot believe (yes I can) what a hypocrite Fitz is. She's gonna tell him about Big Jerry soon, right? It will be interesting to see his reaction and their relationship after that. Between Kerry and Guillermo, I am so over the choices these actors make. It's painful to listen to them speak at times. And is it rubbing off on others or is this how they're directed to deliver their lines? Everyone is starting to sound alike, but Kerry and Guillermo are the worst.
  12. Thank you Sarah! Finally, someone who isn't in mourning over Will dying on TGW! I hated Will and haaaaaaaaaaaaated Will/Alicia so I am thrilled with this turn of events (dreading grieving!Alicia though)! I'm actually several weeks behind and got spoiled on Facebook Sunday night by my preschool teacher. And I may have been so excited that it took me extra long to fall asleep.
  13. I caught a rerun on a plane this weekend and the show felt so different. Then I remembered, oh yeah, they used to do shows in the apartment or the bar or the sidewalk or... anywhere other than Farhamptom! When Ted said tonight it had been a long week, I heartily agreed! I'm both very ready for this show to end and sad to lose some of these characters.
  14. Bert line of the week: "Adults spill too!" Super cute wedding! I love love love this show.
  15. I'm ready for a break from Clue Boom. Reagan did so well in Take the Hint, the final round was surprising. Also, I thought Fred did well on Take the Hint, he seemed a bit slow in the earlier games.
  16. What goes through my head every time I think of Kristina: She is being a terrible mother. Max was being rude and selfish and no, the world does not need to bend to him, he needs to learn how to survive and thrive in the world. It was not his day, Sarah and Hank have a deadline, and they're the ones who rented the printer! I could not believe Kristina's response. I admit that I know next to nothing about kids with Aspberger's, but this cannot be the best way to parent one of them. He's a spoiled brat. At least Adam was being mature about it, until he got defensive about his parenting skills. Otherwise: great stuff with Julia and Crosby, Julia and Joel on the phone, and Zeek and Joel.
  17. I wish every day was Bert day! They really found a goldmine in Albert Tsai. The dirty cake was a cheap plot point and I wish they had been a little more original there, but I still loved this episode.
  18. I consider myself to be pretty easy when it comes to SNL, they don't have to try too hard to make me laugh. That said, I reply enjoyed last night's show and I am not a Jim Parsons fan at all. The murder mystery sketch really made me laugh and Taran's Jebidiah is always good. it will take some time to get used to Colin in WU, but he seems like he'll be fine.
  19. I hate Julie Bowen too! Ahh it feels so good to say (err type) it out loud!
  20. I thought this was pretty great for a first show! The monologue feels like Weekend Update-lite, and I wish he would keep it short and do more behind the desk, but I think that's my own bias just from being used to see him at a desk. Amy was the perfect first guest. They have a great rapport and she made him comfortable. Plus, she looked hottttttt. Divorce and a new boy looks good on her! I love Crazy Uncle Joe anytime, but putting him with Amy made me love him even more. Loved the SotU pics. I probably won't watch the whole show every day, but definitely worth tuning in every once in a while.
  21. I love this show, definitely my favorite new show this season and I cannot figure out why it is not on Wednesdays. I think it would have been a hit in between The Middle and Modern Family. Why don't networks make their schedules the way I want them to?
  22. Pretty much any female celebrity who shows up in sensible shoes goes on my good list at least for a little while.
  23. I liked Jason Sudeikis, mostly because he made me laugh ("I'm not even that drunk, I had so much bread today!"), not because of his clue giving. I'm pretty sure his Alec Baldwin clue is in the running for worst. clue. ever. Also: Retta, Valerie Bertinelli, Yvette Nicole Brown Martin Short is the worst.
  24. My favorite judge is probably Ana Gasteyer. It never fails to crack me up, especially when L/G/F/A knows the secret and then asks opposing counsel "is that in your opinion?" garnering crazy looks. I also get a kick out of Dennis O'Hare's character.
