  1. Cassie looks absolutely gobsmacked that Colton has backed her into a corner like this. I feel like she has no choice but to stay now. Her chance at being The Bachelorette is zero... so does she stay with Colton for maximum publicity?
  2. Also came here to post about Rickey... one of the nicest/sweetest Idols of all time. RIP. Very, very sad.

It's a mini-series produced by the Canadian equivalent of Lifetime chronicling the 2013-2014 season leading up to the Olympics. It feels more like a reality show than a documentary, but as a fan of theirs (hope that doesn't make me a pariah around these parts!) I found it enjoyable enough. Be forewarned: there are defintely some staged (off-ice) moments that will make you roll your eyes, but the parts that focused on training and competitions were very interesting.
  4. Shawn really is insecure, isn't he? He is not doing himself any favors acting this way. He's scarily posessive. He wouldn't be coming at Nick so hard if he was secure in his relationship with Kaitlyn. This whole season is a trainwreck! Ahhhhh. I love it!
  5. I still think Christian is a little shit, and he has a lot of growing up to do, but I think the dinner party (and the unseen clips episode) did a nice job of humanizing him. I liked that he and Maria won the game. I also never noticed the women wearing skirts all the time! They don't have the same set of modesty rules as, for example, the Duggars, so their clothing always seemed very modern (probably becasue it is off the rack). I didn't have a problem with Christian's parents being there either. Like others said, they were probably the most involved of any parents on the show, so it was nice to see them again. It also gives me hope for C/M. It's always been very evident to me that his parents have a true partnership (and friendship!) with clearly defined roles and expectations that are in line with their belief system. They have mutual respect and admiration for each other, and are really great role models for C/M. Let's hope that Christian continues to be self-aware and improves his behavior towards Maria. The other couples: zzzzzzz. I hope that next season (if there is a next season) they do a better job of finding actual arranged marriages. Is it true that Ragini/Veeral's relatives are somehow involved with the show? If so, talk about a conflict of interest! Well, at least they didn't pull any punches -- Ragini definitely didn't get a good edit.
  6. Trista and Ryan now have their own home renovation show! Did anyone know about this? It's called Rocky Mountain Reno, and it's like a 5th rate version of Fixer Upper. Aricle here: http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/trista-ryan-sutter-cohosting-new-hgtv-show-rocky-mountain-reno-details-video-2015265 It's on right now and looks like I'm watching the series premiere. This got absolutely no promo, because I watch HGTV all the time and never saw anything about this. I did a double-take when I heard Trista's (very distinct) voice.
  7. Pretty disappointed with tonight's results. Not happy to see Willow go when Noah, Chris, and Robert are all still there. Very unfortunate.
  8. What's there to say that hasn't already been said? What a disappointment. Clearly, there was no love lost between Shonda and PD, but her ego really got the best of her in this case. Why would anyone watch GA in syndication now? While I agree that Shonda has revolutionized television (in the sense that we have more women and PoC in leading roles, because she paved the way with colorblind casting, etc.), it doesn't change what Grey's has disintegrated into: a poorly written show that has been on the air for WAY too many years and outlived its usefulness. In real life, people don't die every time they leave their jobs. They just move on. ER did this a lot too, and it was frustrating then, just like it's frustrating now. I'm tired of seeing death played for the shock value. At this point, what would be more shocking is a character leaving a show with a HEA. I'm going to be very angry if Addison and Cristina don't show up next week.
  9. Looks like you're not too far off. According to Laurie McCarthy Season 3 will focus on the reigns of Catherine, Mary and Elizabeth! From The Hollywood Reporter:
  10. Well, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who cried during Lemon and Zoe's final scene. I was a little bit embarrassed about that, but it seems like I'm in good company! I thought it was probably one of the sweetest moments we've ever seen on this show. Despite the relatively hostile "friendship" Zoe/Lemon have had over the years, I've never doubted that they'd be there for one another in a real time of need. This was a great illustration of that, and I was happy to see the olive branch come from Lemon this time. I'm still not sold on Lavon/Lemon, especially since I absolutely LOVED AB/Lavon, but there's this genuine sweetness about AB/George that makes me feel like even though it is rushed, this isn't a rebound for either of themm and I think that's what makes me OK with Lavon/Lemon (if everything must be wrapped nicely into a bow).
  11. Cortney's really disappointed me this season. I think she has some deep-seated issues that she needs to work on IN THERAPY. Honestly, I think both she and Jason would benefit from (individual) therapy. I am not sure why she's wrapped her entire identity up in being a wife. She seemed very put-together last season -- she had a job, hobbies, friends. Then again, that was only a one month snapshot of her life, so maybe I'm giving her too much credit. I understand that for the sake of "drama" the producers are not showing us everything, but it doesn't seem like she's made any professional progress. Surprise! starting a business costs time and money and even being great at what you do doesn't guarantee success. She's going about this all wrong, anyway. She's done nothing to "build her brand." I also thought she was very mean to Jason in Vegas. I totally understand why she felt the way she did (and why she didn't want to renew vows), but I thought she came across as vindictive, when he was clearly trying to make an effort to mend fences and move forward. I was about Jason's age when I lost my own mother, so I really empathize with him. Cortney needs to understand that grief is an ongoing process and with all of the changes in his life (moving, starting a new job, getting MARRIED), it can be really easy to compartmentalize and put your pain aside while you focus on other things. That doesn't mean it's not there, grief is latent, but he'll deal with it in his own time (hopefully with the help of a professional). He doesn't open up, so that's clearly something he needs to work on, but she needs to be patient and accept his peace offerings, not use them against him and say that he's not speaking from the heart. Still don't understand why Monet is on this show. Jamie and Doug, whatever.
  12. The woman playing Lemon and Magnolia's mom was Meredith Monroe, who played Andi McPhee on Dawson's Creek. It took me a few minutes to place her. I had no idea she was 45! Holy shit. LOVE AB and George, they are the shining beacon of hope on this show.
  13. Megan Follows killed it tonight (both literally and figuratively). Bash needs to chill out, not sure why he's mad at Kenna. When she told Catherine about Diane's plot, she had no connection to Bash. It's not like she betrayed him while they were married. At the same time, this is The CW, so there needs to be some drama in these relationships. I'd rather something like this than another love triangle. So wait, is the actress who plays Greer (Celina Sinden) really leaving the show? I figured they moved Leith to series regular, so that their romance could play out on the screen. If so, I'm disappointed. I really liked Greer.
  14. Man, I was really banking on Lemon and George. Color me disappointed, I want AB to get a happy ending, but the chances are getting slimmer each day! :(
  15. Well, I think Chris is all in with Whitney. The way he talked to her during the ITM was the most expressive I have seen him to date. He doesn't appear to have a way with words, but maybe (like others mentioned above) it's because he has to feel something in order to not speak in Bacheloresque platitudes. Even with early frontrunner Britt, it's been nearly all physical. He seemed really, really smitten with Whitney. I would not be surprised if Whitney gets the first 2nd 1x1 date. We'll see! Also, Whitney's voice was MUCH less annoying this time around.
