  1. My goodness J Harrison Ghee is all kinds of fabulous. That was a fantastic performance.
  2. Yes, I really can't get with that. Grief is so personal that I just can't pick someone apart. For example, yes people have things sent to them when their loved one passes away. In a fairly short span, I lost my father, then my mother and then, finally, my only sibling. After multiple trips to clean out and sell the home my parents lived in for 40 years, I left my home state for the last time and returned to my residence. A few weeks later the boxes of the limited items I wanted to keep arrived at my home as I had them sent. It was painful enough to sort through the remnants of 3 lives. But then to do it again when the items arrived was too much. Those boxes sat in my garage for so long because I just didn't have it in me to open them again. And yes, the pain comes in waves. I remember being steady and then, on Mother's Day, I could not stop crying. I cried from morning until night. We all go through it at some point. I won't judge. As for everyone else, I still look at this as a 'show'. Kyle knew exactly what she was doing. She played her part. The rest do the same.
  3. Hmmm... that's not quite the tone she expressed in the article. Maybe that was from something else? From the article: A few months later, I asked Maddow what she thought of the Times’ recent series that unpacked how Fox News Channel’s number one host “weaponizes his viewers’ fears and grievances to create what may be the most racist show in the history of cable news.” What Maddow found “most interesting” about the series, she told me, was an interactive analyzing Carlson’s rhetoric from 1,150 episodes of Tucker Carlson Tonight. “For me,” she said, “more than the issue of, you know, how dangerous are Tucker’s ideas, and how do they interact with the growth of the authoritarian right in the Republican Party, more so than that question, which is obviously what the central thrust of the reporting was about, I was interested in how they deconstructed why it works.” Rather than engaging on Carlson’s politics, Maddow talks about him and other cable news rivals as fellow practitioners. “If you think about baseball players,” she said, “who are extremely competitive and who are fighting to win and who have rivalries, and some of those rivalries are bitter rivalries, that doesn’t mean you don’t study the pitching technique of their star pitcher. It doesn’t mean you don’t appreciate whatever they’re doing in terms of, you know, where they put their shortstop in order to give them a better defense. There’s a sort of, like, respecting the game, in terms of people who are doing well and people who are good at it. I mean that was the basis of my professional friendship with Roger Ailes. I wanted tips from him about how to be better on TV. And he was willing to talk to me about what I was doing well, and doing poorly, to help me get better.”
  4. Vanity Fair Article: EXCLUSIVE: RACHEL MADDOW GIVES HER FIRST INTERVIEW AS SHE STEPS BACK FROM THE NIGHTLY GRIND AND REVS UP FOR HER NEXT ACT
  5. Ugh that clip. I watched this series and actually enjoyed most of it. This reminded me of how drop-dead gorgeous Eddie Murphy's ex-wife is, that I wanted R. Kelly's ex to live a healthy life, that Sheree is no stranger to this game and the person I'd completely forgotten about (Jessica Canseco) was apparently forgotten for a reason. Anyway, welcome back to reality TV, Sheree.
  6. You do what you 'gotta' do to be a housewife. Does anyone remember her from the show "Hollywood Exes"? It was a reality show featuring her, Prince's ex-wife, Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, R. Kelly's ex-wife and someone else who I have completely forgotten. Anyway... just saying that she is playing her role.
  7. Before yesterday I had never heard of this show. It popped into my Hulu suggestions. Jeff Bridges *AND* John Lithgow? Hell yes! I don't have anything to add to the conversation on the plot twists and turns. But I am busy enjoying actors amazingly execute their craft. It feels so great to see them in this series, (Amy Brenneman as well). They are just so damn good. I'm in for this ride, no matter what.
  8. First, I still love Eva. I loved her on RHOA while also thinking she was too normal for these shows. I've since stopped watching RHOA. As for Brandi, so far, she appears to be the same person I hate watched when she was on the show. I dislike her so much that even if she has a redemption arc during which she gets herself together, I'm not interested in seeing it. If this keeps up, I honestly don't know if I will watch the rest of this series.
  9. I was happy with today's announcement regarding Alex Wagner. I'm looking forward to seeing her at the desk!
  10. Weird! Mine has it correct. But I'll be sitting in front of the TV with a stiff drink and some unhealthy food tonight.
  11. Thanks for posting this. My DVR settings would have caught it but now I know to just watch it live. I'd already planned to take today off for other reasons and have ended up just watching coverage. I need an hour of Rachel's show tonight.
  12. I laughed out loud at Klaus' reanimation training all set to the theme of Cats in the Cradle. That was hysterical!
  13. All I can say is 'well said!!!'. I knew that it was Ron Rivera who issued the fine but muffed that in my post. I also lived in DC for a few years but it was in the mid to late 90's. I didn't like the Redskins name then and just could never join as a fan of the team/organization. No comment on Dan Snyder! I'm in Minnesota now and a season ticket holder for my poor Vikings franchise so I don't follow the Commanders much. I did see a bunch of people riled up about the fine, but it's all good with me. All of it just adds to the dysfunction in that organization. OTA's are done but training camps should be starting soon. This should get even more interesting since Del Rio 'offered' to talk to anyone on the team about his views and statements. At least he deleted his twitter account.
  14. I thought I would check here after seeing Maher trending on Twitter for his thoughts on free speech. I'm a football fan and don't care too much about the Commanders fining Jack Del Rio. That entire organization is a mess but I think the head coach was well within his rights. And good luck to Del Rio going into the locker room and coaching a team of young, black men who won't take his political comments too well. I didn't watch the episode and think I'll let it stay that way.
  15. Sorry, I have never seen any redeeming qualities that Brandi possesses. She'd be my reason to stop watching this show. I think it would just get worse.
  16. 😆Ha. I haven't posted much in the Housewife forums. It's good to know I can relax.
  17. Answering my own question! It looks like this was originally posted by a 'fan' account that tagged Erika. It is shared in Erika's Instagram stories. (See, I'm not too old to learn 😆)
  18. I was curious and went to her Instagram account and can't find this share. I don't use Instagram much so maybe I am just missing it. Or does her ego have its own account? ☺️ Is there a link?
  19. That might have to wait until next season. I caught Erika on her last WWHL appearance and during some random game she shared how much she really likes Diana. It sounded like they get along.
  20. Thanks! I don't follow this closely enough so wasn't sure. That makes complete sense, though.
  21. Diana was correct that Sutton was contradicting herself. Sutton was busy stating that she did NOT say that she hated Crystal and launching into 'what I actually said was I hate what you did to me'. That would have been fine except it didn't happen the way she remembered. So, I have no issue with Diana correcting the record.
  22. Do you think Erika actually pays her 'glam squad' much or is it more about them getting exposure and airtime on Bravo? I've never understood the whole glam squad thing so I'm with Kyle and Crystal on this. But hey, it ain't my money.
  23. I mean, really. Once they all got back together for dinner that night, it was - "What did you do after surfing?" (silence) - "We talked" (extended silence) - "What did you talk about?" And here we go. It was off to the races.
