  1. Figured I'd get this going after Derek Haas (showrunner) posted this tweet regarding the finale. Any thoughts?
  2. Thought I'd get a spoiler thread given the finale is looming. Derek Haas (showrunner) posted this tweet today regarding Casey. http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/04/chicago-pd-season-1-finale-teasers.html
  3. I want to like Gabby and sometimes root for her but Jesus she makes it too damn hard. She's so judgemental and argumentative. She's bossy and controlling. Not too mention she's either the centre of or part of every central storyline the show has whereas other characters get very little. What annoys me most though is that everybody is in love with her. She's beautiful and strong yes but when we can't go a single episode without someone bringing up how great she is then i have a problem. It's too much. I don't need to be knocked on the head with how great a character is, I'd rather see it.
  4. How many more episodes in the season?
  5. Interview with Jesse Lee Soffer on last nights episode. http://www.examiner.com/article/jesse-lee-soffer-talks-fighting-crimes-on-nbc-s-chicago-p-d Two quotes that interested me. Jesse- Yes, actually this current storyline, the Lonnie Rodiger stuff was definitely the most challenging because it was a far stretch for me as an actor. I have never had to deal with this kind of stuff. And there are some scenes coming up in the next episode with Antonio (Jon Seda) from Intelligence and he is challenging him. And Antonio is not sure Halstead did it or not. And Halstead is fighting back. That stuff has been my favorite.
  6. I really enjoyed this episode. I'm shocked to say I found myself liking Severide and Lindsay. I really wasn't expecting too but I think it was just how sweet and light their scenes were at the end of an otherwise dark episode that got me. It's nice seeing Erin smile and Severide has been through the ringer over on Fire lately as well. I say let them have their fun. I can't see them getting serious but it makes for some cute and lighthearted crossover scenes. Regarding the Jay stuff - I could see on one hand why they were mad at him. The evidence looked really bad plus he was lying about his wherabouts. Voight had repeatedly warned him to back off as had Antonio. Jin was already up shit creek as he had been providing him with information which probably could have led to him being fired by Voight. Then on the other hand, Voight more then anyone knows what it's like to be in a position like Jay's and I found it really hypocritical for him to get so judgemental and blame Antonio for everything. I liked the way it all ended but when Jin and the rest were trying to high five him and play it off like nothing happened I really wanted Jay to turn around and tell them to fuck right off. Burgess and Ruzek - I think they have potential but I really hate this whole fiancee thing because I think it cheapens Adam's feelings for her. I think he likes her but I'm not buying he's that into her. I think he's just really panicked and wants out of the relationship. Burgess, I think is crushing hard so I think it's unfair of him to be acting the way he is towards both girls. Man up Adam. I like Sumner as a character but the cast is full enough already. Jin and Atwater already get next to nothing. We don't need an additional full time cast member. Promo for next week looks good but as I think I've said before, I'm over the whole Burgess wants to be in Intelligence plotline. Especially while Atwater barely gets a scene. Plus the whole undercover prostitute scenario just seems like a silly way to give her and Ruzek more scenes. Either he has to pretend to be a client and ~hilarious hijinks ensue or he has to rescue from a dangerous scenario.
  7. There's a shocker, Jay didn't do it.
  8. Thought I'd start this up especially when I saw this which was posted a few days ago about switching the Emmy submission category from drama to comedy. http://tvline.com/2014/03/25/shameless-showtime-emmy-comedy-categories-season-4/ This is kind of a joke to me considering this has been the darkest season yet in my opinion.
  9. Elena's revenge - like I'm struggling with this (and not just because she's so awful). How did the Ewings ruin her life? Because JR may have taken land from Papi? I just don't get how she can be so self righteous in this whole thing. Her brother nearly killed them all, he killed Chris and Pamela's babies. She lied and covered for him (which is illegal as he was a fugitive). Chris understandably dumped her which she barely even reacted to but other then that they all seem to have forgiven her and let her back into the company. Now she's trying to steal the company out from under them because decades and decades ago JR stole land from Papi (this isn't even confirmed, just Cliff's say so). I'm sorry but how does they mean they stole everything from her? I mean she's never even suffered compared to the rest of the characters. Literally nothing ever happens to her. She just blandly stands by while everyone fawns all over her. She's caused more damage to the family then they've ever caused her. All of the above doesn't even consider how she's dicked around both cousins. Yet she takes no responsibility for this. She just stands idly in her (ridiculous) assumption that she's been wronged and that they owe her. Fuck off Elena. I'm so over Emma. I'm all for that character in a show that we love to hate but I hate when the character is completely hateful and never gets a comeuppance. Episode after episode is just Emma getting one over on John Ross/Pamela with that smug smirk on her face. Have we been given a reason of why she's so spiteful towards Pamela who's only nice to her? I suppose what can we expect with how she treats Anne. Meanwhile Pamela, the only rootable character in the damn show gets two tiny scenes per episode where she smiles obliviously while both Elena/Emma take advantage of her. After the last season I think the writers would have had a fair idea that Pamela/John Ross were favourites yet this is how they've done this season? I'd say they've alienated nearly everyone at this stage. They were showing such promise last season and then this season happened...
  10. Glad we didn't get too much Fiona in this episode. I'm over her downward spiral. The silent prison scenes were more then effective. It's sad to see where she's ended up. I quite liked the Lip and Amanda plotline. I like how devious they are together. I can tell by the finale promo that he'll get back with Mandy so it's a shame we can't enjoy them for longer but oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Loved the Ian/Mickey stuff.
  11. A place to discuss what's on the horizon... Hopefully a storyline for Pamela.
  12. At this point I don't because I think Cidre prefers showcasing Elena and Emma then letting Pamela (who I've always found the most rootable and interesting) do anything. At this point I can't see what can happen. I'm already predicting an eventual John Ross and Elena reunion so I think Pamela and John Ross are doomed no matter what.
  13. Yep less of the TMSO crap though I'm not banking on it. I'm surprisingly enjoying the Christopher/Heather storyline. He's so much more likeable with her then he ever was with Elena. Please good god give Pamela her groove back.
  14. Agreed but watch them turn her into a one note psycho or something ridiculous by next episode so that Lip has an excuse to go back to Mandy. I don't hate Mandy as much as I have in the past but I really resent that they made her a regular. They don't give her any decent storylines except being Lip's love interest and it really drags down his storylines.
  15. I cannot wait. I can't believe we're almost at the end of the season.
  16. For all media related conversations and news..
  17. Just thought we could have this here for any media related news and conversations
  18. I started watching the show in season two when the Izzie/Alex stuff and Izzie/Denny stuff was in it's angsty glory. I stopped watching in season three when Izzie/George took over. I watched intermittently after that and returned to full time viewing last season. April is my favourite character which seems to be an unpopular opinion. I can't stand Leah and have been resentful of the interns general overtaking of the show.
  19. Time to change that, it's been a popular forum over at TWOP so hopefully posters will follow us over here.
  20. Hi everyone I'm Chas a newbie joining from TWOP (RIP). I'm looking forward to chit chatting with you all!!
  21. Yeah she's taken a backseat since her mini breakdown earlier in the season. I really thought that they would pair her up with Gabbys replacement who was homophobic at first.
