  1. I think it’s mainly just because of the period stuff. I think that still makes a lot of people very uncomfortable for whatever bizarre reason.
  2. Brave and Turning Red have about an equal audience tomato-meter so maybe they haven’t?
  3. I don’t think this part is accurate. The Dailymail had her already accepting a plea deal the day after the news broke. They claimed they spoke to a court clerk so I would think they were accurate. Jana posted her “confession” much later.
  4. I think this is the incident and you’re right JB doesn’t turn it off and the producer is kind of a jerk. Can’t tell which one of the older boys did turn off the music.
  5. I thought it was JB who quickly shut it down but it was in front of the camera and he left to allow Jana to awkwardly explain the family dancing rule.
  6. He was only there the day that is brother testified. I think that might also be the case for Justin and the Spiveys. It’s possible they were all just there to support Matthew Waller. Based on what was written about his testimony, he did come across as nervous so he might have needed the support.
  7. Not to defend the photo which was bizarre and immature but it was taken prior to the CSAM photos being shown and discussed. Reddit seems to think Justin and company left for good after that photo of Justin was taken so they didn’t stay to hear any of the actual horrible things Josh did.
  8. Hasn’t Laurie always just been a nickname for Laurence or Laura? I thought Lauren was the one that went from boy to girl.

    Disney Films

The forgotten mid-2000s movies had Chicken Little and Lewis in Meet the Robinsons. Watched both of them for the first time with my toddler kids and they are actually kind of charming movies. Edna Mode also has glasses and she should be a lead!
  10. I don’t know, does Michelle? That is Jessa’s example of what a mother should be. So I will give her some credit there. Granted Michelle might have been better when she just had three kids but it seems like she only ever cared about tiny babies.
  11. I can get not wanting to call the holiday Easter but why don’t they just call it Pascha ( or some variant) like virtually all non-English speaking Christians do? Not asking you specifically, but it seems odd given Pascha ties into the Old Testament which fundies tend to focus on more so than other Christian groups.
  12. I could be remembering this wrong but I thought there were some even older marquees during that scene. I assumed they were the actual ghosts of NY's past.
  13. I couldn't buy Adam Driver in Star Wars as the son of . He's too unique looking to be cast as anyone's child. I also had a hard time with Leonardo Dicaprio and Cameron Diaz in Gangs of New York - they did not look or sound (emphasis on sound) like poor turn of the century Irish immigrants.
  14. I found him totally distracting in the new Star Wars movie for this reason. He was so unbelievable as the child of .
  15. Adrian Grenier and Tracie Thoms in The Devil Wears Prada - way to be happy for your friend's success
  16. Kit Keller in A League of Their Own - all around awful and the ending totally ruins the movie
  17. If this article , and a number of other scholarly works, is to be believed - it wasn't just men who were marrying slightly older in England during the seventeenth century.
  18. This isn't all that true - a number of factors seem to have affected the age of first marriage at various points in history across all cultures. For example, the age of first marriage in England was possibly higher during parts of the 17th century than it was in 1950. The age of first marriage in the USA was also much younger in 1970 than in 1890 which you wouldn't expect if it was all based on cultural mores.
  19. I didn't interpret it as something that was deliberate. I don't see germ theory being common knowledge in the GoT universe.
  20. After catching a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy in rerun, the only character that I liked was the doctor played by the Halfrek actress from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Everybody else was just awful.
  21. I always thought he had a nose job - it also looks a lot narrower at the tip then it used to.
  22. Granted I've never seen Grey's Anatomy, but every time I see Ellen Pompeo all I can think of is the creepy role she had on Law and Order where she helped rape and murder her sister.
  23. Not all kids who attend Christian schools are particularly religious either, especially once you get to the high school level.
  24. I didn't think it was that uncommon for boys to not reach their full heights until their late teens/ early twenties. My husband and most of my male cousins didn't stop growing until they were in college.
  25. That shows how long I actually watched the show - I had no idea Kerry was even a lesbian.
