  1. The bean counters probably wisely decided it would cost more to fix that error than let it go. They know there’s no real evidence for much of an audience for this show. Actually, if TPTB had a sense of humor (which they don’t because they are making serious art, don’t you know) they’d discreetly hide people from the past in various scenes. Have Nick standing behind some book cases, have Ofelia wedged between some Walkers. And to spread the humor, have Rick and Michonne tucked into some scenes. The only thing this show is good for nowadays is some rip-snorting laughter.
  2. I spent half of my time (or more) trying to remember who this particular character is in any given episode and why I should care. With each character, I seem to keep coming to the same conclusion: I don’t care. (But I do like Dwight and Sherry. I just don’t get what they’re up to.)
  3. The problem with this show (and the mother ship) is that NO ONE knows who to write characters. They are either good or so over the top it isn’t funny (hello, Governor!) I mean the writers create the impression of good characters. Look at the John Dories. Could have made for interesting, long-running characters. But what were they asked to do to further the script after their initial appearance? Not much. The actors probably got bored standing around for weeks with nothing to do, then having 2-3 days of lame-ass line reading to do. So, the actors moved on. I’m surprised Morgan didn’t leave. But now that Kim is coming back, maybe he will.
  4. The writing on this show (and the mothership) is like watching the slowest chess game in the world. It’s all about positioning everyone just right for the big finale only for us to see the words: Next Season On Fear The Walking Dead. Why resolve something now if it can be the “enticing” season-ender and get people to come back next year?
  5. This is the first episode I’ve been able to make it through. Part of it are the two people from Fish and Wildlife. Too bad they can’t become regulars?!? One of the things that I don’t like about this show is the way Tenant is portrayed. (Not necessary in this episode. I get being worried about her kid.) To me, she acts like a “sad-sack” most of the time.
  6. My bigger issue (complaint) as I’ve said all along is I wish there was a map that showed me where all the key points are. Sometimes people make these walks as if it’s nothing, but sometimes it’s like a chore.
  7. I nearly feel off the couch the first time I heard Sheldon speak in the episode. I knew he was getting bigger and his voice was changing, but last night I almost thought they’d gotten Christian Bale to speak in his “I’m Batman” voice. ” Maybe I’ll get used to it. I guess I have no choice. what’s going on with Paige seems important , but I don’t see how it can have any relevance to the TBBT plot. is it just me who finds Missy to be the true star of this show?
  8. The numbers don’t work for the reasons said above, but the biggest issue is what about the care or, in this case, lack of care? While nearly everyone is making jokes, there’s the poor Ben Vereen character facing an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. I’m sorry, I don’t find that funny. I’m willing to bet most of the audience has has some experience with nursing homes re: loved ones. It’s no laughing matter.
  9. I don’t want to get too deep (this is a situation comedy, after all) but there’s something depressing that hangs over this show. I mean, we’ve already seen one person die, and the other have their share of ailments. I’m struggling to find the humor in it. Plus, most of the characters have serious flaws and are annoying. What’s her name’s sister who showed up last night — another downer. Look, I get the whole alone thing when a spouse dies. But it’s not working here.
  10. And yet another slightly different opening sequence. (That’s all I got.)
  11. They changed the opening credits, yet again. That’s pretty much the only thing I can say. Oh, and this: Do they not have any grownups in charge at the “home”?
  12. Yet another episode where it seems the only point is to make the Reagens look like overbearing fools. Not that the Reagan’s are wrong, god forbid … just overbearing. Do the writers not like the Reagens? Do the viewers? Do the Reagans?
  13. If Magnum and Higgins are supposed to be such good pals and partners, how come he didn’t know she’d gotten some help from MI6 about the whole citizenship issue. I remember how big a problem that was when it first came up (understandably), but now no fuss, no muss. Was there even a point to that plot twist?
  14. What is it with Selleck? Can he not walk? (Not to be an ass, just curious.)
  15. I kind of missed this: at the end, did Owen do out to find his dog, or the man he had helped? Or both?
  16. Why would anyone want to work for Bull? He’s such an obnoxious p****?
  17. On an unrelated note: How do you think they keep the actor who plays Pete from poking someone’s eyes out with they arrow? I watch him when he’s walking, especially when he turns quickly, and he seems to come close from time-to-time? Think they use a stunt-double?
  18. I wonder if anyone actually has a plan for this show. Now, after all the previous—and serious serious— diversions, they’re real going to have the two men who haven’t spent a lot of time together, riding off in the van??!? The chef really, really bugs me, just like the guy who keeps coming on to every woman with a heartbeat.
  19. Like with most shows, I wasn’t real clear on the timing of things, but I found it odd that no one seemed to know that the woman was a “Bernie Maddoff-type” and swindled lots of people. Seems like that would have come right up when they pulled her ID.
  20. There are good points to the show, but almost none of them have to do with Sheldon. He is even more insufferable here than on BBT. He is so catered to and spoiled. Why would the President just let him traipse into her office? Where are his manners? Do manners not count if you’re super smart? At least on BBT there was a little growth, mostly thanks to Amy. But it will be YEARS before we get there.
  21. That was anti-climatic. Part of the problem is that the show has done such a good job about keeping Izzy off screen I don’t really know what to make of her relationship with Bull. Yes, they had the kid being kidnapped story, but that felt more like an anomaly. Honestly, I know more about Bull’s relationship with Marissa than with Izzy. (Not that I’m saying they’re having a relationship.) Also, can someone tell Weatherly that there’s more to acting than talking like you’ve been punched in the throat. Seriously, he’s taken the whole “speak breathlessly” a little too much to heart.
  22. I’m thinking this is some elaborate ruse masterminded by Bull to get at the opposing counsel or, possibly, the head juror. There was just something odd about how Bull greeted the female attorney. He went out of his way to use her first name. He nearly sounded as if he was flirting, which Bull did a lot of in the first 2 years. It seemed … odd. And every time someone mentioned the lead juror, people said how awful he would be on the jury. It just seemed … excessive. My money is there’s something squirrely with opposing counsel, and this is some elaborate sting.
  23. Hetty’s back! Wait! No. She left again. How many years has this been going on? Seriously. And the Federal Government has no issue with this? Caller’s always been an entitled jerk (“I was adopted. Poor me.”) but last night, with both Fulbright and Hetty, he confirmed it in spades. Poor Sam is ready to throw in the friend-towel. and what is it with Joelle and Anna? Does the show not have the money to pay one of the actors to commit? This whole seesawing between the characters has gotten really old. Again, how many years has this been going on? Speaking of wearing out its welcome is the whole Kensi/Deeks pregnancy. That’s all those two add to the show. That and Deeks blinding sneakers.
  24. Do a Google search, or look back through this forum. It came to light at the end of last season. I don’t want to rely on my memory, especially about things like this, so check it out on your own.
  25. Sure, the kidnapper said not to call the cops, but they didn’t say anything about calling Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Alas, no one thought of that. Bye, Bennie, happily married in Rome. We’ll sweep all the dirt under the rug. What are they going to do with the character Izzy? I’m surprised the actress has stuck around this long.
