  1. Is anyone else tired of the queens wearing breast plates under their skimpy outfits? I know I was tired of Jimbo always wearing humongous breastplates, but I gather that's part of his shtick, along with the HUGE ass padding. Even the triple titty look was annoying. But this time I was surprised that after the lip sync challenge, the winner had her breastplate bouncing out of her outfit like a yo-yo during her dance. Yet she won? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind breastplates, just not the exaggerated ones, and once in awhile.
  2. I agree totally, but I wish your replies weren't merged because you wrote things that I really wanted to comment on individually, like Aurora's panic attack (the drama, puhleese) especially since Robyn led her to it. "Kody, she's getting that look, oh she's going to have a panic attack" It wasn't even subliminal. But that last bit I quoted immediately takes me back to the scene where kody was bragging that he picked out Robyn's wedding dress. And then he went on to complain why aren't men involved? What a narcissistic jerk. I just still can't get over how wrong he was, in every way possible, but he's so stupid, he still doesn't get it.
  3. A lot of what you say makes sense. Aside from TRULEY, Christine was probably thinking she was done with all the babysitting, since she was done, and she was working again. I also don't think she felt Robyn's kids needed babysitting because they were of age where they could be just with Peyton. And her quote makes me wonder if that was a dig at Robyn since Robyn didn't work, why couldn't she look after Truley etc. while Christine was at work? But I also believe Christine wasn't into looking after Robyn's kids from another man - she had no interest in that. But I think she would have loved raising Solomon and the cray cray little girl I can't remember her name lol. Then again, maybe once Robyn started requesting kody to come home to her, on the other wives' days, she decided she wasn't going to do anything to help Robyn.
  4. Watching the both of them miserably doing the "watch back" made me think of my mother's favorite saying, "Beware of what you wish for, you may get it. Just not in the form you expected." Robyn wished she had Cody and now she does.
  5. This group's (except Kirsten) constant search for men makes me so glad I do not have to be single nowadays. Mind you I wouldn't be on the hunt for one night stand, I just can't do that. Even when Lou was doing her shark impersonation, out in that water circling that poor man, I was relieved when his wife showed up. I said to my husband, "Next time we go to Mexico or Jamaica, I'm going to be watching you standing in the water, in case some woman is casing you ..." lol
  6. I've always enjoy Lu, and I used to enjoy Sonya, but her inability to listen and comprehend, annoys me. As well as her need to be the center of attention. She was intentionally rude to Kirsten at the restaurant, and it made no sense. I have always been able to live quite well without ever seeing Kelly on my screen.
  7. I have never despised Ramona, as much as I have during this episode. She's in an entitled elitist pig. I would give so much money just to see some staff tell her to f off. It's not like she would tip them or anything if they were nice to her.
  8. I guess it comes down to what one considers "respectful" or not. Since kids are expected to live with their parents until marriage in India, I consider the home to belong to adult Sumit's, as well. Sumit probably asked Jenny to act as an online pal until they determined what their relationship was. Then again, I consider sneaking a crush into my house, under my parents' noses, as a rite of passage. Lol
  9. Whew, I understand now. when when you mentioned he was married when Jenny came over, I thought you were referring to the first time she went to India. Because at that time he was definitely single, and had definitely made some sort of commitment to jenny.
  10. Do you mean to say I shared a personal story about my horrible talk to texting experiences, and there wasn't even a badly typed closed caption? Lol
  11. I'm confused. I was under the impression that after he gave up the catfishing, and they started honestly communicating, she flew over to meet him and he was definitely single at the time, because she stayed with him and his family. It was only after a couple of years the parents realized he was serious about being with her, so they arranged a marriage, pronto. And he was bullied into it cuz we've seen he cannot say no to his parents. But he was not going to give up Jenny, married or not. I believe she was even helping him out financially. And since he was 'legally married' married for a whole 2 years, and didn't tell Jenny, the show, her daughter, etc. I think Sumit was simply immature and hoping if he and Jenny ran away, they'd all cancel the marriage.( No way will I believe that she knew what was going on when sumit's father in law came to their home to confront her. No one's that good an actress.) Yep, so I'm not going to beat up Jenny for a situation that only Sumit was the author of.
  12. When it comes to drug overdoses, I don't think others should be charged because it makes people not want to be involved (like that guy who'd rather leave her in a car than call 911.) The justice system plays both sides. If he called 911, police would charge him with a) drug possession OR b) selling drugs If he doesn't call 911 re: overdose, police will charge him with a) failure to render aid or b) murder (if they think he sold it). Make up your mind. (I'd just keep away from any of that).
  13. Well, if writing closed captions was left up to my phone, every other word would be out of place. For example, my phone typed 'when today' after I said, "wintry day". Then when I said "I have a potluck stew" I got "' have no potlucks too'. SMH
  14. I get so frustrated with the idiocy these women show. There are around 3 who are relatively clever, but oh dear, you can see (while they're fighting) who's missing some basic common sense. A and M determined Nicole was guilty (despite it making no sense) and even though we could all see A was out of line, she wouldn't shut up to let Nicole speak. I've come to realize, the one who's guilty of faking drama will scream the loudest, and/or physically storm out, without any facts. They also shout over whomever they're attacking. I often read posts that complain about housewives (on all the shows) being boring or dull. But I also find I'm usually drawn to these "boring" women because they're often normal, fairly bright, and authentic (because they refuse to to fake any drama).
  15. I came to a similar conclusion. The show has vast resources at the ready and anyone whose family tree only goes back 3 generations would appreciate this assistance. I'd like it too as I know nothing on my mother's side (aside from her mom's name).
  16. I realized after reading some comments, that this show wasn't meant to start out analyzing everybody. I thought it was a way in which to allow black Americans to try and connect the dots when tracing their roots? But in the last 3 years of watching, I saw there were other people on but it seemed to be what you're saying the same story with each one they were either Jewish and in the Holocaust or they were enslaved. still love genealogy shows, but I think I'd prefer one that combines Finding Your Roots with Who do you Think You Are? Mind you, I also enjoy anyone who has criminals in their history, or a big scandal, or even learning that they had different parents than they thought. I know it's twisted but I love twists and turns like that in genealogy. I'm pretty sure my history has a lot of twists...lol
  17. Thank you so much! I was a teacher, newly retired, but I can't say I've actually used slave or enslaved while teaching because I don't recall this ever been discussed. Usually our curriculum instruction centered around First Nations' people.
  18. I finally finished watching the episode, and I still like Monica. I can understand the others being upset that she's a blogger, but it's not like she's telling lies about them. She admitted that she used the platform in order to bring down Jen Shah, but she also pointed out she hasn't said anything about any of them. At first I was shocked and thinking oh no this horrible Monica setting up a facade so she can damage their reputations. But all she is doing, is telling the world what they do, or what they confide it in her. Yes, it's a 'nasty' friend thing to do, but I'm here for it. I'm so tired of these women not telling us what's really going on. If Monica's job is to make them be authentic and accountable, then go for it! Once again, Whitney's voice was screeching in my ear as she fought to get some of the spotlight on herself. And then finally the camera focuses on whitney, and Monica's looking right at her, and Whitney delivers, "You've been lying, all this time, to my face!" Immediately, Monica snapped back, "I've never said anything about, or to, you!" Of course Whitney did not hear a word, because she was screeching the same sentence over and over, "you lied to my face."
  19. I apologize up front, I am only 10 minutes in, and I have not read anyone's comments. But has Whitney lost her mind? When she was explaining what it was that bothered her about the book, and why she accused Heather of profiting off her sexuality, it was a couple of sentences about Heather taking Whitney's boudoir photos for her husband? I think Whitney is terrified she will be replaced on the show, unless she comes up with a solid storyline. That's going to drive me away from watching these shows. I don't mind some basic, boring reality, every so often, but I DO mind manufactured crazy antics in response to fake events or fake accusations. For us to only learn the entire fight or tantrum was actually a facade in attempt to cover up or disguise their mediocre lives. At least Monica's not pretending to be extremely wealthy housewife, with time and money on her hands
  20. When I read this my first thought was, preferred by whom? Who does the National Archives represent? I still don't understand "who" decided that saying "slaves" is now wrong? Is this just American people that don't like the term? Because slavery still exists in so many areas in the world.
  21. I had to look to see if the episode from January 2nd had being mentioned on here. Normally the three judges can come up with a decision that I sort of agree with but this case was ridiculous. All I gathered was someone owned a restaurant, and some guy from Atlanta wanted to serve coffee and cake in order to get investors for his coffee. He chose the restaurant because it was in a wealthy neighborhood and he wanted to sell to people living in that area. He asked if he could use the premises and they said sure because a) they don't serve dessert so cake wouldn't cut into their food profits, and b) coffee won't cut into their profits either. The restaurant said they had no issue with his plans because the day he asked for was a Sunday; it wasn't during a busy season so they said, no problem. The restaurant did not charge him for setting up on their premises, so he could coerce their customers to invest. There was also no charge because he was not impacting the business. He was arriving on a day they're normally open so they did not have to do anything to prepare for him. Yet, here he is, suing the restaurant because public health kept them closed when they were 'supposed to be open.' They phoned him a day in advance to tell him they're closed. He could have phoned a ton of restaurants in the same area and asked for a little corner to set up but he chose not to. Judge C was the only one who actually had it right. I was shocked that the two women judges were discussing what amount of money to award the plaintiff as a result of the restaurant phoning the day before to say that the it was closed. To me, that's equivalent to phoning a city, and asking if you can use one of their local parks for a public picnic. If they look it up and say "Oh yeah, you can use it that day as there doesn't appear to be an issue. There's no cost, no charge. Have fun. The day before you plan to picnic in the park you find out there's construction and it's been shut down to the public. Find another park. It didn't cost you anything.
  22. I just realized Kody embodies every cult-like religion with his words and actions. It's like if anyone disagrees with Kody or says anything's about disliking polygamy, then they are labeled subversive (just like Scientology and Mormon, etc) The way he simmered in anger, and then went cold while Christine and the kids were talking about his lack of love for Christine, is similar to being confronted by the church and then ostracized and shunned. He was so furious with MacKeltie for even 'agreeing' with Christine, you can tell he's already determined he's going to start to shun her. Just as a cult would banish and shun anyone if they said anything or agreed with anything against the church (or in Kody's situation, against him.)
  23. I recognize all the hypocritical things that Kody has said, and all the lies that he and Robyn have told, but I don't understand how they cannot accept they tried to gaslight but with obvious inconsistencies? Kody implies all four wives pursued him, but in Robyn's case, Meri stalked her and kept asking her to join the Brown family, till she acquiesced. During a different segment there was a discussion on married women cannot actively look for a different partner if they're still married, and to a good man. Polygamists believe it's sinful to pursue a partner who is already married. SO, we know how loyal Meri has always been to Kody and to her faith, so I realized that Kody is lying when he states that Meri actively pursued Robyn, while she was married to Preston. No way would Meri break the scripture despite her love for Kody.
  24. I was reading my comment this morning and I realized it came across a bit harsh. And your response has helped me see that. Danielle IS a beautiful woman no doubt about that. And you are right, there are so many men, just in the US, who would love to date her. However, many women in their 40s are not going to have a 20-something man fall head over heels in love with them, after a week at a resort, AND want them to get married? Danielle probably looked at her career and life in New York, and realized she would never feel like she could 'relax' financially and romantically, unless she made a big change. (Hey, by marrying Yohan, does she get to live in his country permanently?) But, again, I think you're right. This was a fantasy come true for Danielle, but kicking all the coconuts in the world is not going to help her escape her issues and face up to her responsibilities. Again, when someone tells you who they are, believe them. It doesn't help that Yohan (who is a horrible, cold hearted user) really piled it on, and made her feel like she was so loved and respected. But even just before her wedding, You could see she was having doubts and maybe even saw the writing on the wall. I felt like she was acting more like a mother than a wife with him.
  25. Tim, Tania, Kenny and Andre should not even be on the show. Aside from Kenny (who always says the right thing) they are too apathetic and irrational, at the best of times, to offer advice to anyone. Tim 'declaring' Kiersten is a liar almost had me tackle the TV in anger (according to my husband). Given the little bit of information Julio 'alluded' to, as cheating "receipts", was a f'king joke. Julio's obvious inability to commit, stay faithful, or his unwillingness to level with Kiersten is appalling! Finally, Is something wrong with Danielle's mouth. Is she chewing gum while talking?
