  1. This is an out there thought, (I have not read the book), I am wondering if the rape isn't a red herring and the real reason that someone is killed is due to something we don't know yet. I think Jane will be initially accused because maybe it is her gun, but it won't be her.
  2. Ok, so they aren't going to give Negan those guns, right?
  3. Man, they should get every single one of those helmets and body armor from those dead military guys.
  4. Well yes true. I always remember it with the Benny Hill music!
  5. Nothing can top the Daryl, Rick and Jesus episode for slapstick.
  6. How have these places not been discovered before? With all these people scavenging for Negan?
  7. For myself, I 100% blame the editors. Brooke and Shirley are both very excellent chefs (Sheldon is an excellent chef too, any combo of those three would be a fine finale. BUT, they all seem to be nice people-oh noes-the finale will be BORING). However, the EDITORS decided that they just couldn't have them be great chefs and cook a meal-that wasn't dramatic enough. They just had to have a "drama" between the two FEMALES. Because, of course, females are innately bitchy and HAVE to create dramaaaaahh. They chose not to make the pork belly a small snafu (like the oven issue with Brooke's flan), with a mere mention of it, but a major editing, time suck and focus of a "will she , or won't she share?" narrative and what all of that meant in terms for the competition. Think of it this way, If you were rooting for Brooke and Shirley didn't share AND ended up winning, what kind of discussion would we be having? It would likely be just as negative about Shirley, as some have felt about Brooke. So, basically, the asshole editors took away a joyous win (no matter who won), by injecting this socialized gender role standard, that women need to be a certain way to be a "good" winner. Pisses me off so much. The editors CHOSE not to clarify the issue for the viewers because obviously, female chefs are not as exciting doing their "thing". We need a hook and some manufactured drama for viewers to be satisfied. SMH.
  8. I actually love Hung. He is one of my favorite chefs from Top Chef and I will always remember his mise en place performance from that season. Even though Hung is hated, I can 100% understand a competitor not giving another competitor something to help them win. Doesn't mean that I wouldn't help, but for me, it is a more gender socialized norm and women seemed to be held to that standard more often (MMV).
  9. This is a competition. Why, why, why should anyone have to share an individually selected item? This is not a common item for all (like salt). If the kitchen truly made a mistake, wouldn't the producers have rectified it? (they film everything, they can verify if Brooke ordered it or not). Wouldn't they have made the playing field even? I cannot believe that they wouldn't in a competition like this with the high stakes. On Project Runway, if there is a mistake they announce it and rectify it to make it fair within the parameters of the challenge. That is like telling the NE Patriots, to give the Atlanta Falcons 5 yards, just to be nice because the refs gave them a penalty. Why is it that women always are pressured to "be nice" and "play fair" in order to maintain that they are a good person?
  10. Pissed that this drama of the pork belly is a major focus of the editing and this "I want to be a nice person, but I also really want to win" thing going on with the female contestants. I like Brooke, but you didn't order it. It is YOUR fault. If there was nothing else available you would have to make due. It is not Shirley's responsibility to give it up to you. Brooke was not offering her other "backup" item to Shirley in kind. I wanted Shirley to win originally, now I really want her to win.
  11. Aww, my daughter's class did that when she was in Kindergarten or First grade. But we had Coco the Brown Bear. It was a HIGHLIGHT of these kids' year. It was so special. We had to take pictures of all the things Coco did. Wicked cute. Imagine my daughter's surprise when I managed (trust-this was no small feat) to find an identical bear. Coco had an identical twin that showed up to stay at our house with original Coco! Our Coco had glasses though (we called him Moco). My daughter was so thrilled about that. Good times, good times. I have been thinking about the choking. Does anyone thing that the bruise looks more like an object (like a belt) as opposed to a young boy's small hands? Hand prints tend to look different. Can a young boy get his hands all the way around a neck? I have to wonder if the twins weren't "playing" like mom and dad and used a belt on Amabelle?
  12. Yeah. This is one of the biggest pet peeves I have about the show in general. In my somewhat smallish area, we have a Wal-Mart, BJs, a Costco and 2 large grocery stores. We also have a Home Depot and Lowes. Not counting all the other restaurants and stores and 24 hour stores, in my area. (not counting all the stuff people may have in their own homes). The overstock at these places alone is massive. They have stuff in the back, stocked above the shelves, etc... In my opinion, there is no way that they would be running out of anything that is prepackaged and processed. If the entire group of people in the Alexandria area is 1000 people. There should be plenty to go around. Have you ever seen the stock in a Costco? They sell 50-100 pound bags of rice for God's sake! They have those stocked 100 deep. We never see these guys eating rice. Same goes for pasta and oatmeal, and all kinds of dried goods-beans. I think that there should have been much more stored food to go around. But the show wants to act like it is 10 years out, which is why we got Garbage Patch Kids and their bizarre language and a lack of everything.
  13. OMG-Eugene asks about mental health services. I love it as someone who works in the field.
  14. Yeah we never really got to know anything about Eugene. I wonder how much is true?
  15. OOHHH Smack. Eugene smiled on his walk away! You fool them Eugene! There is no way he will willingly go along after what they did to Abe. Yes, Eugene.
  16. I have started to like that song now. It would not be torture for me. I actually hum it at times. I have been totally brainwashed.
  17. I thought that it was visibly bruised, maybe someone can confirm?
  18. Big issue that I have, teachers would never have the entire group of kids and parents present and ask the harmed child to point out who hurt her. This would be done in the privacy of the principal's office with the nurse or police. She had a visible bruise on her neck. This is not one kid taking another kid's pencil. This is much more serious and child protective services might be called as well and the district Child Psychologist, if the child who choked another was determined to have some type of issue, he/she would be removed from school at that point. This was not realistic at all with what would happen today at decent schools. Since this school was deemed to be as a good as a private school, I would expect even higher standards. The Principal would absolutely be involved. Really liking Reese in this. I have never read the book and I know nothing about it, but I think that the twist will be that the dead person is male, but I could be wrong as I often am on these types of things ;).
  19. I loved the actor who plays Jerry when he was YoYo on Halt & Catch Fire. He is great!
